Creating an Inclusive, Anti-Racist Community
As a trusted authority in the SEO industry for over a decade, we believe we must use our platform to speak out against racism and bias in our niche and in the world. We will take action for positive change, to call out injustice clearly and with conviction, and to stand behind and amplify underrepresented voices, both within and outside of our industry.
Black Lives Matter.
On June 2, 2020, following the outcry against the murder of George Floyd, David McAtee, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and so many others, we realized we had been silent too long. We made the decision to move from being quiet to actively anti-racist. Our full statement of support can be found here.
What actions have we taken?
We are committed to speaking out against acts of racial injustice and are evolving our culture to be actively anti-racist. We’re excited to partner with Michaela Ayers of Nourish to assess our existing culture at Moz, audit our internal systems and processes for implicit bias, develop a diversity, equity, & inclusion (DEI) roadmap, and form an employee-led DEI council.
Mozzer training and resources
Through an internal training program called Mozzer U, we offer a number of required and elective courses that educate our employees on diversity and inclusion. Mozzers are empowered to help keep our culture a safe and welcoming space for everyone. Workshop topics include Implicit Bias, Understanding Microaggressions, and Owning Our Rank & Power.

Ada Developers Academy provides tuition-free coding education to women and gender diverse adults. We've welcomed multiple Ada graduates into our software engineering teams as full-time Mozzers.
Nourish is an anti-racist cooperative that supports mission-driven companies on the journey to achieve racial equity and social inclusion in the workplace and beyond. Through the lens of social justice, Nourish brings a fresh and creative approach to learning that improves the way people work together.
