Soft 404 errors
-
Google webmaster tools is telling me I have 8 "soft 404's".
They are all like this page...
http://www.seadwellers.com/search/page/8/All 8 pages are the same except the number at the end......
I just can't figure this....any insight at all is appreciated and do i need to correct somehow?

When you say "exclude your search"...do you mean exclude that soft 404 page specifically from the search bots?
Can you take a quick peek at one of the pages in question...?
http://www.seadwellers.com/search/page/8/There are 8 of them....only diff is the number at end of URL...I am afraid I do not understand how/why it exists?
Any insight you might have time to give is greatly appreciated...I'm trying to learn.
Thank you Martijn

Patrick is right, usually the soft 404 errors are a sign that your pages are very low quality and probably don't provide anymore information. What I would recommend doing is exclude your search definitely from the bots itself by adding it to your robots.txt file.

Hi there
Take a look at Google's URL patterns and exclude URLs resources. These are great pieces to help you handle your search URLs and patterns.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

Unsolved Google Search Console Still Reporting Errors After Fixes
Hello, I'm working on a website that was too bloated with content. We deleted many pages and set up redirects to newer pages. We also resolved an unreasonable amount of 400 errors on the site. I also removed several ancient sitemaps that listed content deleted years ago that Google was crawling. According to Moz and Screaming Frog, these errors have been resolved. We've submitted the fixes for validation in GSC, but the validation repeatedly fails. What could be going on here? How can we resolve these error in GSC.

Weird 404 errors in Webmaster Tools
Hi, In a regular check with Webmaster Tools, I have noticed some weird 404 errors, for example, my domain URL is something like http://domainname.com/, the 404 error points to some weird URLs like http://domainname.com/james-bond&page=2/ and http://domainname.com/juegos-de&page=3/, at first I have tried to block them by robots.txt, but now I am getting these kind of 404 errors a lot, and don't think blocking them all is a perfect solution. Can anyone help me out with the issue? Thank you in advance.

Webmaster message - increase in 404 pages
I've had a message in webmaster tools: Increase in “404” pages on http://www.ethicaredental.co.uk/There are 1000 pages in the crawl error list. But all of them direct to t a 404 page, i.e http://www.ethicaredental.co.uk/search?searchword=toothwhich, which as far as I can tell has all the necessary features of a good 404 page (clear message saying the page doesnt exist anymore, navigation, and business details. The webiste was built in Joomla previous to a re-design in Wordpress. Is this a Joomla issue? How can I satisfy webmaster and Googles crawl to understand these are decent 404 pages? Or dop all 1000 pages need to be 301 redirected.??Any thoughts appreciated

GWT giving me 404 errors based on old and deleted site map
I'm getting a bunch of 404 crawl errors in my Google Webmaster Tools because we just moved our site to a new platform with new URL structure. We 301 redirected all the relevant pages. We submitted a new site map and then deleted all the site maps to the old website url structure. However, google keeps crawling the OLD urls and reporting back the 404 errors. It says that the website is linking to these 404 pages via an old outdated sitemap (which if you goto shows a 404 as well, so it's not as if Google is reading these old site maps now). Instead it's as if Google has cached the old sitemap but continues to use it to crawl these non-existent pages. Any thoughts?

What does this error mean?
We recently merged our Google + & Google Local pages and sent a request to Webmaster tools to connect the Google + page to our website. The message was successfully sent. However, when clicking the 'Approve or reject this request' link, the following error message appears: 'Can't find associate request' Anyone know what we are doing incorrectly? Thanks in advance for any insight.
