Adsense and e-shops.To do or not?
-
I own a furniture e-shop with 240K pageviews per month.
Should I put Adsense to gain some more money?
Or it would drive my customers away?
I see many e-shops using Adsense advertising.
Is there a good reason not to use it ?

Hi
I do run an e-shop and also a physical store.
I only sell products directly to my customers.

Hello,
There are a few questions I would like to ask to get a better idea of your situation.
1. Do you only run an e-shop? So you only sell your products online, no physical store?
2. Do you actually sell the products or your doing affiliate marketing?
In most cases, I wouldn't actually put it on my e-commerce site because having advertisements on your store seems unprofessional. The only place I would actually put ads would be in the blog section.

Hi
Using Adsense on your web pages can be very profitable especially if you have good traffic going to a site and they are not stuffed all over the site as this will make the site quite spammy and will potentially put customers off. There are a number of ways to place the adverts on your site without them being to invasive such as drop down, slider options.
I guess it really depends what type of adverts you place and if your prepared for your visitors to start click searching elsewhere and therefore leaving your site chasing the link they have clicked on. Adsense can work good for example on a tourism site maybe providing an information guide or accommodation where a visitor might want something else such as car hire, restaurants or activities as well as your product .
With e-commerce I wonder if the ads will really benefit your visitors and not really pay you to have them on your site therefore may have a negative impact to you vistors and the appearance of your website.
The best way is it to try it an see if it works for you, setup a few adverts and monitor the impact of them this will give you an idea.
In my experience it generally works well for information providing websites where visitors are exploring not only the site they are on but others also.
Hope its helps, i guess as the saying goes suck it and see!!

Can Google Shopping Ads Lower Ranking due to Bounce?
I am noticing Google Shopping Ads are showing up for really irrelevant keywords on some of my products. This quite predictably causes a high bounce rate when a user comes from these ads. There is very little control over what Google Ads seems to decide are relevant keywords from what I can see. Only control is by viewing search terms and setting as negative keywords, but his doesn't help much. Negative keywords are often ignored or they come up with some other really irrelevant new keyword. Seems this high bounce rate could hurt ranking? Any experiences shared with Google Shopping ads appreciated!

Google Merchant Shopping - UK Mainland Shipping
Hi Guys, I am setting up my first Google Merchant account. As it's only a couple of products to start, I am doing this manually rather than a xml feed, and got to shipping. If it is free shipping for UK mainland but different for scottish isles, scottish highlands and Northern Ireland, how do I reflect this? What values do i use to suggest free shipping for UK Mainland and give different values for the others? Regards Neil

Looking at google shopping results from other country
Hi, I run shops in several languages out of London. One of our key revenue drivers is google shopping. It is important for me to look the the shopping search results for example in germany. Recently Google changed something so when I want to look at the german shopping results from here, eg. http://www.google.de/shopping it always shows me the english ones with prices in pounds. Is there a trick to still get the foreign results? Thanks in advance Dieter

Why are some restricted items showing up on Google Shopping?
Hi there, We sell tactical gear but only "Google Friendly" items in our Google Shopping Product Listing Ads. We don't include anything that goes on a rifle, including rifle scopes. However, we see that companies like ebay and OpticsPlanet can still sell riflescopes: https://www.google.com/#q=Bushnell+3-12x44+Mil+Dot+Tactical+Riflescope&tbm=shop. There's even an article by SearchEngineLand that points this out, too: http://searchengineland.com/google-weapon-listings-shopping-search-126487. So why is it that they can sell them and we can't? What advantage do they have or what have they done?
