Google Merchant/ Googlebase Images at top of SERPS
-
Hi
We are based in the UK and the new merchant rules have recently been applied here.
We offer free shipping but now most of our click throughs come from the images at the top of the SERPS that simply give an image and a price. The prices do not include shipping and there's no indication to the user that shipping is included. Hence our conversion rate from PPC is way down. Is there any way to counter this or do we just need to go back to charging for shipping?
Thanks!

Hi Jonnygeeuk,
Very good point. There's no real way for you to conquer this as far as I can see, I've not had a chance to take advantage of the new merchant stuff yet though.
This may break the rules... but could you add a watermark to your product pictures with a strap "Free UK Delivery" going across it?

How to fix canonicalization so Google shows our company's website and not LinkedIn
I work for a company that builds and manages apartments. I would like to know how we can fix canonicalization. You see, we have been posting our company's blog articles not only on our company's website, but also on LinkedIn. When people search for one of our articles, Google is displaying the article for LinkedIn. Except, that's not what we want. I'd prefer for Google to display our company's website, to drive more traffic to our website and not LinkedIn. For instance I just Googled the title to one of our company's blog article "Great Leadership is about Influence not Authority." The first thing to show up was a link to see the article on LinkedIn. There was nothing referring to our company's website. Here is a link to the LinkedIn account where we have been posting the blogs: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/great-leadership-influence-authority-mike-kaeding/ Here is a link to the same article, but on our company's website: https://www.norhart.com/blog/2018/08/08/great-leadership-is-about-influence-not-authority/ Why is Google showing the article for Linkedin and not our Company's website? Might LinkedIn have canonicalization over Google? If so, how might we be able to reverse this and drive people to our company's blog instead. Any ideas I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks.

Should I link from an optimised product image to the product page from a blog post?
If I am writing a blog post about a product, or a number of products, and I'm including optimised images of the product, should I link from the images to the product page in the shop? Usually I remove links from images as they lead visitors to a simple image page but could it be worth linking from an optimised image to a product? Thanks in advance.

For the hotel website, should i make homepage banner/slideshow in flash or javascript
Hello Sir, We have build hotel website and enabled google analytics on that. When we were going through the report of google analytics it shows that 69% have java and other 31% visitor has no java. We have designed Slideshow/banner on home page which shows different pictures of hotel which is in javascript. My question is as per google analytics report 31% have no java, that means they are not able to see that slideshow/banner of hotel pictures? is this the reason for 23% bounce rate on our website? Please help on this because I have spend nights on seo and tried lot of goal conversion techniques with different landing pages. I will heartily appreciate you response. Thanks, Bandro.
