Will changing order of bullet points in product descriptions add some uniqueness?
-
We write our own unique product descriptions and have a unique product video for each color variation and multiple unique product images and display seperate user reviews per color variation.
We prefer to have seperate product pages for each color variation for several reasons (targeting color searches and user experience seeing all color variations when browsing category pages).
Product descriptions of color variations are quite similar.
I was thinking about spinning dynamically order how bullet points of product descriptions are presented to add some more uniqueness.I am not expecting a massive impact, but do you think this increases a bit googles perception of page uniqueness?

Hi There,
Simply re-ordering your content is not going to make it any more unique. I've seen mashing up content help sometimes (depending on how trustworthy the site is) but changing the order of the same phrases doesn't add to the uniqueness of the page. Honestly, the results probably aren't worth the time required to do this.
Good luck!

It`s possible that it might have an effect on your serps BUT just changing the order of bullet points, this is no real criteria for unique content.
Imagine that there is software which is able to identify plagiarism. If you run that software the result would be, that your sites have the same text/content and therefore it`s identified as DC - this is what Google will recognize also. I
t doesn`t matter if you arrange your information in a different way then.
So the question is if this would also have a negative impact? Don`t you think so?

Duplicate URL errors when URL's are unique
Hi All, I'm running through MOZ analytics site crawl report and it is showing numerous duplicate URL errors, but the URLs appear to be unique. I see that the majority of the URL's are the same, but shouldn't the different brands make them unique to one another? http://www.sierratradingpost.com/clearance~1/clothing~d~5/tech-couture~b~33328/ http://www.sierratradingpost.com/clearance~1/clothing~d~5/zobha~b~3072/ Any ideas as to why these would be shown as duplicate URL errors?

SEO before products on ecommerce site
Our company plans to quickly launch an e-commerce site to sell religion themed banners (religionbanners.com). We'll have our products up on the site in about a week. Should I block Google from accessing the site during this period? Is there anything wrong with starting simple SEO tasks such as submitting the site map on Google Search Console prior to us having the products on the site?

I have an eCommerce Site with in some cases, 100s of versions of the same product. How do I avoid "duplicate content" without writing literally 100s of unique product descriptions for the exact same product?
For instance, one item where the only difference is the Sports Team Logo is different, etc... or It comes in a variety of color Variants. I'm using Shopify.

How to add meta descriptions in WordPress
Hello, I have a WordPress website in which the front page is built entirely with text widgets. How would I add key words and meta descriptions. Yoast does not give an option for this and it seems WordPress does not support meta descriptions. Anyone have ideas? The website is championfitprogram.com

Will changing a site from https to normal http have any SEO impact if we do automatic redirects?
We currently have a site which uses https and want to change to normal http only (for reasons unrelated to SEO). We were planning to do this with a change in our server configuration (we use Nginx, and can automatically redirect https to http). Our site has been around for approx 1 year, so there are links floating around in the Internet which will still be using https. These will be automatically redirected to http. What will be the impact on our SEO? I understand that our webmaster tools account may need to change...

URL Domain Used in Meta Description
Today I was asked if using a domain url in your meta description can have a negative impact on your website. This description includes a list of the homepage url, but directs visitors to a different internal page of the website. My concern fell with directing visitors to a different page of the site, but promoting the homepage in the description/snippet. With Penguin 2.1 release on the 4th, I'm very cautious of my links/urls. What are your thoughts behind this? What are the possible, if any negative impacts this could have on a site? This URL does have a brand name as so the Title.

Advice about resource points
Hi there, We're an online booking portal for the hair and beauty industry, and also provide salon management software. We're thinking of creating a separate subdomain on the main site, probably along the lines of salons.example.com as a resource point and advice centre for salons. In it, I was thinking of featuring links and extracts from various blog posts I've written on salon marketing, downloadable white papers and featured videos we've created - a sample of each that you can click through to get all the bits on one page i.e. you click a see all vids bit to be taken to a page with all the vids on it. This is very much conceptual at the moment (though we do have a fair number of resources on the blog and the like), but I'd love it all to be drawn into a helpful section for salons. I'd love to hear what you think about it and whether there are some other ways we might look into doing this. No right answers, hoping for a bit of a debate/advice around resource centres. Thanks a million!
