Is it necessary to Remove 301 redirects from Wordpress after removing the 404 url from Google Webmaster?
-
There were many 404 urls in my site found by Google Webmaster. I've redirected these urls to the relevant urls with 301 redirect in wordpress. After that I removed these 404 urls from Google Index through Webmaster. "Should I cleanup these 301 redirects from Wordpress or not? ".
Help Needed.

Have you gone through your site to make sure that there are no longer any links to the old 404 pages? You probably don't need to worry about external links pointing in, since those pages are now redirecting, but I think it would be best practice to correct all of your internal links.
-
No I'd leave them in as there may be other Indexes that link to them or even blogs, sites or even somebody may have sent an email with the original link in.
301 doesn't hurt your ranking and would continue to deliver those 404 results for you.

How do I find why I have a 302 redirect?
I have a 10 year old website and I have just recently changed to a https: version and my host ionos setup a 301 redirect. I have noticed on my Moz reports that as well as a 301 redirect there is also a 302. How do I find why I have a 302 redirect? I have looked in my htaccess file and it says:- RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80

RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R,L] I'm assuming this is the 301 redirect, where will I find the 302 redirect. Please note that I am using Wordpress that was not setup through ionos. Does anyone know where a 302 redirect could also be installed or how I find why its there or where its coming from? Thanks Andrew0 -

Google is a definition engine / Question answering engine
But what do you do to rank when you sell a product and people don't have questions and none of the companies that rank on your keywords answers questions... Let me give you a few example. Title tag for example : People want to know what is it and then have question about it What is the maximum number of characters ? How do you write a good one ? Etc... How to remove stains is another example : Please want to know how to remove all the different types of stains, (ketchup, grease etc..) But what about when you are a online business and want to sell usb keys , rent bicycles https://www.spinlister.com or even sell a software to do A/B testing on your website https://bit.ly/2a6cBuF Can someone explain me how those people mentioned rank without giving definition or answering questions... because according to me they don't do any of that on the pages that I mentioned. I look forward to your reply. Thank you,

How does Google's AJAX Announcement Impact the likes of AngularJS?
Google's announcement last month about depreciating their AJAX crawl directive and Distilled's recent article have got me thinking a lot about how this change impacts frameworks like AngularJS. For those of you that use or are considering using frameworks like AngularJS, does this change impact you? Has it changed your mind about services like Prerender etc? All discussions relating to AJAX crawling welcome. Some resources to get started: https://prerender.io/js-seo/angularjs-seo-get-your-site-indexed-and-to-the-top-of-the-search-results/ https://www.distilled.net/resources/prerender-and-you-a-case-study-in-ajax-crawlability/

Bizarre PDF URL string
Hey folks, I'm getting literally hundreds of Duplicate Title and Duplicate Content errors for a site, and most of them are a result of the same issue. The site uses javascript container pages a lot, but each gets their own URL. Unfortunately, it seems like each page is also loading all the content for all the other pages, or something. For instance, I have a section of the site under /for-institutions/, and then there are 5 container pages under that. Each container page has it's own URL, so when you select it, you get the URL /for-institutions/products/ or /for-institutions/services/ etc. However, the institutions container page doesn't change, just the content within. In my SEO results, I'm getting the following: /for-institutions/$%7Bpdf%7D/ /for-institutions/$%7Bpdf%7D/$%7Bpdf%7D/ etc, each as a duplicate title and content page. How can I eliminate this? Is there a regular expression that rewrites URL segments beginning with $ ? For your reference: The page is set up so that any URL that doesn't exist just refers to the subdirectory. /for-institutions/$%7Bpdf%7D/ displays /for-institutions/, but does not rewrite the URL. So too if I were to enter /for-institutions/dog.

Given the lastest Google update, should I rewrite my Flash site or try to present an alternative HTML/CSS site?
I have a site that was created using Flash. The reasoning behind this was, at the time, that I didn't care if the site ranked or not (portfolio site). Now I would like to drive traffic to the site from SE's. Given the Penguin update, should I rewrite my Flash site in HTML/CSS or present an alternative site for bots and browsers that don't support Flash? My concern is that by presenting an alternative site to bots and non Flash supporting browsers that the SE's will see potentially see this as cloaking. Thoughts and advice would be much appreciated.

Best way to develop a WordPress version of your site and then move it?
I have two websites that generate hundreds of organic hits each day. I want to switch both of them to WordPress. What is the best way to go about developing these sites then making them live while still keeping the current ones up?
