Why do ignored crawl issues still count as issues?
-
I use Cloudflare, so I can't avoid the Crawl Error for "Pages with no Meta Noindex" because of the way Cloudflare protects email addresses from harvesting (it creates a new page that has no meta noindex values).
I marked this issue as "ignore" because there's nothing I can do about it, and it doesn't really affect my site's performance from an SEO standpoint.
But even marked as ignore, it is still included in my site crawl issues count. Of course, I want to see that issues count drop to zero, but that can't happen if the ignored issues are counted. I don't want mark it fixed, because technically it's not fixed.

Hi there!
Thanks so much for the question! Sorry for any confusion here!
Ignored issues should not count toward your total issue count once your next crawl takes place. When you ignore an issue, it will not be immediately reflected in your issue count but once your next crawl takes place, you should see the issue count reflect the removal of the ignored issue.
If you're finding that this is not happening and your ignored issues are still being counted, please send us an email at [email protected] and we'll be sure to take a look and see what's going on!
I hope this helps!

Moz unable to crawl my Zenfolio website
Hey guys, I am attempting to optimize a website for my wife's business but Moz is unable to crawl it. Zenfolio is the web hosting service (she is a photographer). The error message is: **Moz was unable to crawl your site on Apr 1, 2019. **Our crawler was not able to access the robots.txt file on your site. This often occurs because of a server error from the robots.txt. Although this may have been caused by a temporary outage, we recommend making sure your robots.txt file is accessible and that your network and server are working correctly. Typically errors like this should be investigated and fixed by the site webmaster. Read our troubleshooting guide. I did read the troubleshooting guide but nothing worked. My robots.txt file disallows a few bots, but not roger bot. Anyone have any idea what is going on? Or do I need to request server logs from Zenfolio? Thanks

Moz Site Crawl can't index WIX sites
We've been attempting to work on some SEO for a new potential client however they are using a WIX site. We've noticed that Moz SEO tools will not index any WIX sites. e.g. https://www.sharonradisch.com/ (which is one of their case studies). Anyone seen this that can offer any advice? Thanks,

Attempts to fix MOZ recommended issues resulted in drastic ranking drop.
I have a website built in SquareSpace. https://www.ruffhaus.com/ I recently started working with MOZ to track and improve organic SEO. After my initial site crawl, search visibility was reported at a waping 2.38%. Moz showed several critical crawler issues. Most were redirect, 4xx and long URL. So I started working on fixing the redirect and 4xx issues first. I thought this was a good thing. But now my already sad search visibility has dropped to .07% (-95.97%!). I also went from #1 on keyword, brand implementation plan (and 3 variations), to #27. What? Wondering where I went wrong and how to remedy? This is all new to me so I am sure I'm not providing all the info you need to answer my question. Hoping providing the site URL will help. Fire away!

We recently switched from HTTP to HTTPS and we are having crawling issues!
We switched our website from HTTP to HTTPS and we started to get an email from Moz about the robots.txt being unable to crawl our website. The website is hosted through wordpress but we haven't had any issues until we switched. We have no idea what to do or even what the problem is! If you have had a similar problem and fixed it, we need your help! Thank you.

Crawl issues, how to see a referring link?
Hi There, We've got two crawl issues for pages that don't exist (and never existed). The links are strange and judging by the code in them, appear to be coming from our own CMS. How can we see which pages the links are on in Moz? Cheers Ben

Why wont rogerbot crawl my page?
How can I find out why rogerbot won't crawl an individual page I give it to crawl for page-grader? Google, bing, yahoo all crawl pages just fine, but I put in one of the internal pages fo page-grader to check for keywords and it gave me an F -- it isn't crawling the page because the keyword IS in the title and it says it isn't. How do I diagnose the problem?
