News sites can anyone recommend any to gain links
-
Hi can anyone recommend any news sites that you can gain links from submitting your news. I did find a really good one where you can write a whole news story or share a news story and it generated a lot of traffic but shockingly i have lost the address of the site.
Any recommendations would be great

PRNewswire is by far the best although it can be quite pricey

Don't you have browser history?
Or alternatively, have you checked your google search history?
-
This is a good site to gain traffic

Hi shelly, no it was not but thanks. The site allowed you to either write a full story with a link to your site or just part of the story and allow people to read the full story on your site. The dashboard for the site was on the right and that is all i can remember about it.
I am searching the net at the moment because i found it the night before i went on holiday and thought it was great and was going to post it on here about the site with a review but when i got back from spain i lost the paper with the details on.

Here's some free ones we've used before;
Was it any of them?

The site that i was looking at was a very good free one, but then i went on holiday and lost the name of the site. I have to agree prweb is very good

Hi there - well if you have any garden/home/eco/design related websites gardenbeet.com will write you an article and post it on its website - there is a small admin fee of £9.99 - but the website has to do good, look good or offer something good

We sometimes use PRWeb for any company news or press releases and they're generally pretty good. They then submit to Yahoo News, Google News, etc.
Although it's a paid service (although not that expensive) We achieved the most visits and clicks through them than using any others.
There's a lot of other sites and PR sites about that do it for free, such as freepressreleases.com (I think), so you might want to look them up.

Do any presentation sites, Slideshare, Google Slides, HaikuDeck offer great SEO links?
I do a lot of public speaking and normally upload my slides somewhere so people can access later. With most sites I can upload to Slideshare or similar, then embed into my own site. I do it for audience convenience, but it would be swell to get an SEO bump.

Linking Between Sites
Hi everyone, Hope you are all doing well. If a company owns several different websites that are supposed to be different brands but are part of the same niche/sector is it OK to link between them? Or would this be seen as violation? Thanks

What is a healthy ratio of keywords being used as anchor text in external links to our site?
Hi, One keyword is being used as anchor text in way more external links to our site than any others and I'm getting a lot of mixed advice whether or not to do anything about it. The agency we previously used had managed to remove about 1500 links (out of 6000) however our rank for that search term is still very poor. **We have 4500 external links with the anchor text "ABC" and the next highest amount of external link anchor text is the term "XYZ" which has about 400 links. That is over 10 to 1. What is a healthy ratio of anchor text between different search terms to aim for? ** Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Indirect Link Earning via dofollow Links In News Articles
Hello, MOZ SEO Gurus. I've been trying to think some deep thoughts on safe, effective link earning for news publishing sites, and wanted to run this up the flagpole and see if you salute. Our site is a biotech news service -- we pump out copious amounts of news content each day, which works well for driving traffic. That being said, we also want to rank some optimized landing pages as well. Take, for example, this page, which we'd like to rank for "secondary progressive MS" and related keywords: http://bionews-tx.com/secondary-progressive-ms/ Now, as far as I'm concerned, shopping this page around to MS influencers isn't easy. I can go to Foundational websites, blogs, etc., and say, "hey, we have this info page on SPMS, and I thought that you might find it helpful/want to link to it." But chances are, the MS influencers already have their own proprietary content on SPMS, and there isn't much value to linking to it. Therefore, I think that we'll get few link earning conversions on the effort. However, what if I take our Secondary Progressive MS landing page, and I link to it in a corresponding article about SPMS research, as I did here: http://bionews-tx.com/news/2014/01/30/secondary-progressive-ms-natalizumab-clinical-trial/ Then, I go to the drug developer who is at the center of this story and say to them, "hey, we recently covered your drug in the news, and I thought you might want to link to it." Then, we get a link from an MS drug developer to the news article, which in turn has a prominent anchor text, dofollow internal link to the landing page for SPMS. If the link from the drug developer is dofollow, then we flow page rank juice from the drug developer page to our news page to our landing page. To me, it's much easier to earn safe links this way than to try and shop the landing page itself. That being said, if we get a dofollow link on the news piece, we only get a diminished portion of page rank going to the landing page. Is this strategy viable? Is the indirect flow of page rank from a linking site to a news article to a landing page even worth it? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Has anyone been able to by pass charges to have links removed?
I am working on Google Reconsideration Request Process for a website and have been asked by a few links to pay a certain amount to have my link removed however, the links were placed without my knowledge is there any way to be able to get them to remove without having to pay especially since I did not ask to be linked anyway? Does anyone know if Google has a templete that has been used in the past that possibly works well to bypass charge due? Thanks!

Does Open Site Explorer show juice passing links
I'm a little confused between all the link types. Internal / External - easy Linking Root Domain - easy Followed / No followed - easy But then there's talk about "juice passing links" and I can't quite get how this is defined, and why it's something you can get from the API, but not from Open Site Explorer... or can you get that info from OSE?

How can I convince my clients with smaller budgets to invest in Link Building?
Hi All, Basically over the last few months I have been working for a company that is mainly a dev house but are looking to expand their SEO clients further. At the moment because of the only recent focus on SEO we have a lot of clients who only pay for monthly reports, on page optimisation and some PPC. My question is, how can I show the clients that investing in Link Building is probably the next step and something they need to do if they wish to further progress their SEO campaign. I have written up a link building proposal to show them the advantages of Link Building, but any other ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks,

Recommendations for a good outsourced link building partner
Merry Christmas everyone. You shouldn't really be reading this question on Christmas Eve but as you're here... ...I'm looking to outsource most of my link building to a good partner. Can anyone recommend a person or company that they have used in the past who has delivered good results. I have used oDesk in the past and paid peanuts and got appropriate results in return. Poor quality links that everyone else was going after and that disappeared after a few days or weeks. I am very dubious of using these automated link creation sites the web is littered with, and most of them are dodgy link farms or worse. Ideally I would provide a set of keywords each month and the partner would spend their time working on links based around these terms and the content on our site(s). Your comments, suggestions and ideas are all very welcome. Have a fun Christmas everyone Scott.
