Buying links
-
I have 2 websites to pay monthly to gain links from,
number 1 is on the homepage of a directory, it has a PA of 90 and DA of 88.
the link will be on the right hand side along with 55 other featured sites.
these links are there throughout the whole site.number 2 is from a website with 20 max sponsored links on a page and will be one of the sub pages on the site with a PA of 74.
How valuable if any would these links be?
My current pa on the site i wish to send the links to is 26
Can i expect my PA to go up by much?
Also i currently have 317 links from 7 root domains on my site will this effect the rank of the paid links?
Thanks in advance

than you all for you response, this is my first time using the seo moz forum and the help i have received so far has been great!
The 1st link i actually found because one of my competitors shot up the rankings from 2nd page to top 3, i couldn't work out why but i did notice they had this new link with a pa 90.
If i do decide to try the link for a couple of months, i will post the results.
Thanks a lot for everyones input!

And focus on conversions and income too.

I agree.
The focus of your post is on numbers.
Put the focus of your efforts (and expenditures) on visitors.

Listen to da man. He smart.

Can i expect my PA to go up by much?
There are a few things you should understand about your PA. The PA is based upon the Linkscape crawl of the web which is updated every 4-5 weeks. If you were to acquire a link today, it may take 60 days or more before you see the PA adjusted for the link. There is not any immediately visible reward.
With the above noted, Google will update their internal PR almost immediately so the value of the link (if any) will be provided immediately although you wont see it in a metric. You may see the value in SERPs.
Peter and Dunamis accurately shared that Google has a very smart and experienced team designed to specifically devalue all paid links. How did you find the paid link? Whatever steps you used, Google may use as well. It is entirely possible Google has internally determined the linking site is offering paid links and the site is flagged so none of their links pass any value. If this is the case, even though your get a link your PA will still increase because SEOmoz has no way of knowing the link has been devalued. Despite the increase, your site will not receive any benefit.
If you wish to pay for links, use the list Peter offered.

If this were my website I wouldn't buy either. Here are my thoughts:
1. In either case the link juice is going to be diluted because of the number of links.
2. Although Google isn't great right now at detecting paid links, they have a team of really smart people that are working on this issue. There's a good chance that in the future, those pages will be either totally devalued, or worse could give you some type of a penalty. (That's controversial however. If a link from a "bad neighbourhood" could devalue a site then you could build links to your competitors and hurt them.)
I'm sure my comment will get a number of thumbs down as many seos feel that paid links can't hurt, but I would rather put all of my energy into building links that look as natural as possible.

wow thanks for this list, looks like a great place to start

If your looking to buy links...it might be worth getting listed in some of the directories.. Yahoo and BOTW are good. They are paid links, but they are generally considered whitehat. Also more places to get links from here: http://www.seomoz.org/directories

Ok thanks, i might give them a try and see how they effect my serps, any advice on where i should start with the white hat links. I'm a complete noob and have been reading through forums all day.
Thanks

They might help a bit...but I wouldn't rule out googles algorithms picking them up as paid and removing their value. I think u have more chance if the you a lot of good whitehat links and the paid ones are only a small part of the profile. Your PA will probably go up a bit, but i wouldnt have though it would go up hugely as its only two links..tho it would depend on how competitive the niche is... 2 high quality links can make you own a niche that isnt competitive or wouldnt even scratch the surface if its a competitive niche.

Sitewide links
Hi there, We operate about a dozen websites that are part of the same parent company. All these websites are in the same vertical, and link among each other in the footer section. The anchor for each link is the brand name, so we are merely doing it to show what other products the parent company has to offer. My question is: do you think this is still advisable, or it might trigger a penalty? Also, what would you choose between: Sitewide footer links from each site to the other sites. A single footer link on the homepage from each site to the other sites. A presentation page on each website, one click away from the homepage, which presents the company's other websites. Thanks.

Inbound Links not showing. Links are not no follow
Over the past several months I have definitely received inbound links to my website ( none of which are no follow). I have HubSpot as well s Moz and none of the links are showing. My competitors with the same link sources are showing though. I am completely dumbfounded. Why are my inbound links not showing and how much time does it take for them to show if they show at all? Thank you!

Currently working on a link-building strategy and have gotten a few mentions. Just curious if there is any SEO benefits of linking back to the pages my site was mentioned and linked on? Would love to hear your thoughts, thanks!

Link quality
Hi, Having read dozens of your blogs and found them highly informative, i have to ask a question. I am kicking oout our SEO company and have taken over the SEO myself with some excellent results. Our SEO providers tell me that links from any site (irrelevent of their DA) are good, providing they are comming from a relevant source. We are in the security industry and according to MOZ, we have a DA of 52. If i can get a link to our site from another company in our industry but they have a DA of 10, is this really beneficial for me? Info i have read in Moz blogs suggest it is n ot a good idea. Please help. many thanks Daddy Smurf

Remove Unatural Links
We hired a SEO firm to build links for us two months ago, and now, we received "unatural link" warning from Google. SEO firm informed that they have taken steps to remove these links. But, we don't think we should trust and depend on them for that. We want to be on it and would like your advise for the following three questions: how to determina whether a link is "natural" or "unatural"? We want to make sure we don't remove the natural ones We saw 933 links from Blogspot.com, that for sure do not look natural, how do we go about to remove it? Based on SEO firm's report, certain links have be removed, but, it is still showing on Google Webmaster, should we give it sometime to crawl and confirm?
