For my site I have keyword relevant category urls and want to have my navigation also match the keyword for the page.

By default my web platform places all of my navigation anchor text inside of a see the example below.

Does this present any issue? Are there concerns I should be aware of? In the past I've just placed the anchor text not within a span in my navigation.

Google will strip the HTML formatting tags out and index just the links and text. Span tags are purely for formatting so there's no issue.

Does Marking a Business as Permanently Closed in GMB Impact Website Rankings?

I recently acquired a business that had a website with great rankings and traffic but also had a few physical locations listed in Google. The physical locations closed and are marked as "Permanently Closed" in Google. The website also expired for several months before I picked it up. The site had amazing rankings and traffic previously but is really struggling to regain rankings now. I'm concerned that the site is not performing well due to the business marked as "permanently closed" in GMB. I'm unable to do anything about that because the website doesn't have any physical locations. Any tips on what to do here?

Will presentational HTML tags actually be having a negative SEO effect?

Hi All, I have been using some scanning tools as usual and I keep getting notified about presentational HTML. I'm not involved in the web design but if this is actually having a negative effect then we need to get it changed. Can anyone advise? Changing .nl to .eu impact on rankings?

Hi all, I have 2 questions concerning the merge of two websites of ours.
We would like to combine our .nl and .be website to one big .eu website. Both websites have dutch and english rankings in The Netherlands and Belgium. 1. Will the rankings change because of the domain change to .eu?

SEO impact of an iframed blog is very low ? Right or wrong ?

We're thinking about adding a blog to our site, but our CMS blogging features are not good. Someone suggested using a wordpress blog and putting it in an iframe on our site. I replied that all the SEO impact of our blogging efforts will be lost because of the iframe. I am right or wrong ? If I am right, could you suggest better alternatives ? Thanks in advance ! I was wondering for the logo from header: from SEO perspective, does it help if it is text formatted with css (if keywords from company title would metter) or just a logo picture with title? Too many links on hompage - what to do with overloaded main navigation

Hi there, on my website (http://dealcity.de) I aggregate group shopping deals from Germany. To obtain a good user experience there is a large main navigation in the header where users can choose the city they are interested in. The problem is, that the main navigation has 220 links to all cities. Of course this is way to much on a fairly new site like this to have the link juice flown to the sites that are important to us. What should I do with the main navigation? Is there any way to remove these links from the linkgraph but keep the current user experience? Best Regards
