Cannot see Bing rank in Campaign
-
Hi guys
I have included Bing en-GB in my engine list for rankings on one of my websites, however, the actual rank placements are not showing at all in the results, even though a search in Bing shows my site is top on some of the keywords and near top on some of the others.
Am I doing something wrong here?
Thanks
Nick

no its not personal results in my case, as I have it turned off, and seoMoz staff see the same results when they check manualy. i have alerted them to my resulsts and they are at a loss to see why. They also are concerned and they also want things right, but are at a losss to explain it. It would not hurt to give feedback, just to let them know, there is a feedback tab on the left as you can see, it may be better to use the feebackk tab on actual page as that may give them theat info.

The weekly crawl has just this moment completed and there are still no results for Bing. Todd, none of those sites belong to us, we have the site x-gloo.co.uk. Could it be I am seeing personliased results? Can I remove the personal element in a similar way to adding 'pws=0' to a Google SERP URL?
Thanks
Nick

Sorry, not bing.com, it should be bing.co.uk

I did try Rank Tracker but this seemed to show the same results. It told me that my site did not rank at all for the brand keyword I used. If I do a search on Bing for said keyword our site is #1. Why not try yourself? Go to bing.com and do a search for 'x-gloo' and see what you get...
-
Maybe this thread will get the gears in motion. Time will tell.

I tried rank tracker and that is acurate, but campaigns shows a few bad results, not all but quite a few are a long way out.
-
For sure, keep me posted. I am curious to see what happens. Did you try rank tracker?
TODD -
I'll wait till the next crawl report and see what happens, but I can see that the site is #1 for some of my target phrases, and has been for a couple of weeks - Bing actually indexed the site (along with Yahoo) before Google did...
I'll let you know how it goes!
Thank you both

I have the same for Bing Australia, rankings are about 20 to 30 places out and have been for over a month. Of cause rankings move, but up-untill now it has been rare to have rankings this far out. I am waiting to next crawl and hoping things come good.

Good Morning Nick!
I have attempted to replicate the error you are having (as I have a few clients in GB) however, my bing results were accurate to the last crawl date. That being said my rankings had moved up since the last crawl, but the lack of reporting is no fault of SEOmoz software, simply an issue of when the site was last crawled. Obviously the Mozzers are going to field this one, however, it might be advisable to wait it out until the next crawl is completed. You can even use Rank Tracker to see if that might be more accurate.
Hope this helps while you wait for the appropriate response from MOZ central.
**** EDIT ****
Using rank tracker delivers extremely accurate results, and you can choose to actively track the keywords for the URL via that avenue. Its not a fix, but it will at least give you the data you are looking for.

Why is the weekly rankings report often inaccurate?
Does anybody else notice that the Moz weekly rankings report are often inaccurate? Many times it says a keyword (or many keywords) fell out of the top 50, although when I manually check the keyword in a Google search, it still shows that those keywords are ranking in the top 10. I've done these manual searches with personalized search settings turned off, as well as from a completely unbiased computer. Why is this happening? Does anybody have any suggestions? Thank you!

Rankings go up and down, up and down, up and down
Almost every week we have more than a two dozen keywords that will all suddenly increase in rank only to then decrease in rank right back to where they were the previous week. This happens constantly despite the fact that we are doing very little SEO-wise on a week-to-week basis. What might be causing these constant shifts?

Local Vs Organic Search Keyword Ranking
This isn't a question. It's a simple suggestion that I'm hoping will inspire a change at Seomoz. I love what this site does. What it helps us do as community. What it helps us achieve collectively. This suggestion is based on that love... I think we all can agree that the rankings between local reviews and organic reviews are very different beasts entirely. They should then be treated this way within the Seomoz data with separate reports. The vast majority of reputable small businesses don't care about national rankings, but would rather get to the top of the local charts with their 5-star reviews. Can you imagine the power of a report that is dedicated to helping you shape your client's results to achieve this? I like seeing the results of local in the keyword report, but we need a report dedicated to local search to make a difference in our rankings. With all of the recent chatter on local search, I'm surprised this isn't already available.

How to Properly Set Up My Campaign
My url www.pcf.org redirects to ttp://www.pcf.org/site/c.leJRIROrEpH/b.5699537/k.BEF4/Home.htm because of my old CMS and this cannot be changed. Should I set it up as a Subdomain, root domain, or folder? For example using the homepage url http://www.pcf.org/site/c.leJRIROrEpH/b.5699537/k.BEF4/Home.htm I get the following results: subdomain: You've decided to set up a subdomain campaign, but entered the subfolder path:
Moz Pro | | mstanwyck
www.pcf.org/site/c.leJRIROrEpH/b.5699537/k.BEF4. Don't worry, we'll switch that for you and crawl everything on your subdomain: www.pcf.org. If you meant to set this up to only crawl pages in the subfolder /site/c.leJRIROrEpH/b.5699537/k.BEF4, click "Go back and Change" and choose the subfolder option in step 1. root domain: You've decided to set up a root domain campaign, but entered the subfolder path: www.pcf.org/site/c.leJRIROrEpH/b.5699537/k.BEF4. Don't worry, we'll switch that for you and crawl everything in the subfolder /site/c.leJRIROrEpH/b.5699537/k.BEF4. subfolder: It looks like you submitted a URL that relates to an individual file: www.pcf.org/site/c.leJRIROrEpH/b.5699537/k.BEF4/Home.htm
rather than a folder:
www.pcf.org/site/c.leJRIROrEpH/b.5699537/k.BEF4. Don’t worry, we’ll switch that for you and crawl everything in that folder instead. If you meant to set this up for a different folder, click ”Go back and change” and enter a different path. To complicate things further, as you move through the site, the only part of the URL that starys consistent 100% of the time is: http://www.pcf.org/site/c.leJRIROrEpH/ Depending on where you are on the site, it appends the url. For example: One page is http://www.pcf.org/site/c.leJRIROrEpH/b.6185669/k.9792/Sherry_Galloway.htm while another is http://www.pcf.org/site/c.leJRIROrEpH/b.5800843/k.94DE/Everyday_Heroes.htm0 -
What does this error mean when starting a new campaign
hi just about to start a new campaign to i can monitor my website and i get this message up but not sure what this means. Roger has detected a problem: We have detected that the domain www.headlineplus.com and the domain headlineplus.com both respond to web requests and do not redirect. Having two "twin" domains that both resolve forces them to battle for SERP positions, making your SEO efforts less effective. We suggest redirecting one, then entering the other here. can anyone please let me know why this message comes up please

Why do I see different ranking results for Bing and Yahoo?
If Bing is running the Yahoo search results then it seems to me the ranks for both Bing and Yahoo should be the same. So why are my SEOmoz ranking reports showing different positions for each?

Frequency of the Campaign reports
Hello there, I would like to know the frequency of the New Rankings and On-page reports for the campaigns that we set up. We received our last campaign report on 3rd September for all the 5 campaigns. We also received 2 reports again on 9th September. Can you please let me know how often do we get these reports and can we manage to receive them every week or fortnight. Best Regards Sandeep

Campaign Manager - Keyword Grouping
Hey, I was just thinking that it would be useful to be able to group keywords by page or some other factor in the campaign monitor keyword rank checking tool (I am sure it's called something better than that). Maybe it's just me, but I am struggling a little with this for relatively smaller sites so if I could tag each keyword and filter / group them by the tag it would be another useful tool for my seo utility belt. Fairly painless to implement as well I would imagine. 1. Create tags 2. assign tags to keywords with a drop down (optional) Would be a useful tool when exporting data to group by tag etc. Just a thought. 🙂 Marcus
