Are links in sponsored articles juicy?
-
Hi There
I've been offered a sponsored article in a national newspaper that can contain up to 3 dofollow links.
Something similar to this http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/271282
The question is would this be seen by Google as a paid link (which it is really I guess) and thereby pass no link juice? It's pretty expensive so don't want to get it wrong.
Any thoughts gratefully received!

These sites don't pass the juice that they may have once passed as it become such an easy way for people to pay to get hundreds, even thousands of backlinks in a matter of a couple days without even having to distribute quality content articles.
I can't confirm what amount of juice they might pass as I just don't know, but I'm confident it's not the full amount that you might get if say BBC News picked you up outside of a sponsored article.
Reason being, in my opinion, is that these sites have just become littered with press releases that are not of much quality (not all, but most). And Google has recognized this and is dealing with it appropriately. In all honesty, who actually goes to http://ezinearticles.com/ to read the articles? Not me. But people just use it to try and get a million backlinks; meanwhile, Google has completely stripped the site of passing any PR externally. Same as its done with Craigslist and other classifieds websites.
So, in my opinion, don't exert too much energy on these kinds of releases. They can help get you a wee bit of recognition as it never hurts to get your name out there one way or another, but you're not going to see any significant increase in traffic, if any at all.
Your best to focus that same energy on creating relationships with companies that compliment your site, and vice versa.
Hope that helps.

Reddit LInks
Are Reddit links worthwhile? I hear they are sometimes follow and sometimes not follow. Also what about links verses self links? I'm pretty handy with reddit so I can probably make content that would actually be upvoted a lot. Let me know, thanks.

Link in Disqus profile
Hey guys, could you help me with the following issue. When I leave a comment via Disqus, it adds my url as plain text to the code of the page I left my comment on. At the same time, a backlink to my site is in my Disqus profile (once you click on the user name in your comment) So, my question is if Google will consider such a backlink as a legit link to my site and if it makes general sense for SEO to leave Disqus comments?

Link over-building?
Hello all. One of the first things we do for our clients is to claim their local listings, include them on a set of selected directories (8-10), and blog directories (5), if applicable. Since they will all be linked to the client site, could doing all of this at once run us into problems with unnatural link growth? Thanks! Frank

Is it a reciprocal Link ?
Hi, I found a great website and tought its content would be extremely interesting for our clients. I wrote about it on my blog (which has an URL with our website URL in it) , Facebook Page and even in Twitter. Meanwhile, I contacted them and offered to write an article about an interesting subject for them. They accepted and liked it so much that they decided to put 2 links for us on two of their pages. My questions are : Will this be a reciprocal link for Google? Did I make a mistake talking about them on my blog ? Did I «devaluate» the links they gave us?

Link value
Hi I have some links from blogs to our ecom website. My question is if anyone knows what happens if you have several different blogs on .blogspot linking in to you. Does that make them loose value because they are on the same domain? I can probably quite easily have 5-10 blogs on blogspot all with PA of 35-40 link in to us. Is it worth striving for or should i strive to get blogs that have their own domain to link into us instead ? Or equally important ? Dan Lærum

So I ran into a site that was not ranking 4 days ago and has over 2 million links to it on some keywords. My guess is this is a link bomb, but the issue is this is pushing one of my sites down. Does anyone know a good way to over come a bomb like this?
So I ran http://www.riogrande.com/ into this site not that long ago and wanted to see if any other SEO's have an opinion on it. I've seen a Google bomb before, but the amount of links going into this URL is insane. The thing is how does one over come a Google Bomb? Do you just wait to see what Google does or do you just hope to rank under that URL? I should also note that it appears that all the keywords to it are relevant to the sites content. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Are 36 links from one site to nested pages better than one link to the root domain?
I have a Driving School website www.1stclassdriving.co.uk. The site is structured geographically with 36 area pages, one

should I create 36 individual links to each area page? - which is most valuable?0
