How to Increase PageRank

My website has 0 page rank. How can I increase this? What are the different factors to increase page rank? My site is HomeEscapade.com
Thanks in advance...

Make sure when you are placing links first make up good anchor texts with your keywords in it.
Or not, a tonne of incoming links with exact match keywords might raise a few flags. Natural links tend to have brand names, web addresses, etc... in them, and generic things like "click here".
I'm not saying it's not a relevance signal but it's certainly a lot less of one than it was. By all means get a few exact matches, partial and phrase matches but I'd mostly go for the relevance through the site/page content and the fact that it's relevant, trusted sites/pages that are linking in... and not so much concern with the anchor text.

Hey...
First off all i wanna say dont get to hangup about pagerank. I have a site where i only put some links in high pagerank sites of my own in the footer and some blog comments and it already has pagerank 4 .
I just started this site and it does not get much traffic because the links are with an anchor text wich is not generating much traffic. So the pagerank 4 is nice to see but does not bring me traffic.
So if you want to get an higher pagerank just get some good links from good sites and you will get your pagerank. However it think you want your site to generate more traffic and therefore have higher ranking with your keywords. Make sure when you are placing links first make up good anchor texts with your keywords in it.
Your pagerank will not change right away because you need to wait for the new google pagerank update wich will take a few months i think because i think they updated it not to long ago.

As far as I can see the PA for your page is 21, and your DA is 10.
The SEOmoz toolbar tells me that you do not have that many external pages linking to your site, which is a good way for increasing page rank (and also traffic). So that could be a suggestion. Put some effort into getting external pages to link to your site, perhaps having some link exchange with other relevant sites?
Also your page does not have any meta description. You should definately add this. And also, you should consider changing your page title to a more descriptive title.
"HomeEscapade Articles, Reviews and Opinions" should perhaps be more focused on the keywords you wish to be found on, and have the company name as the last word in the title. The most important keywords should be mentioned at the front of the string.
The homepage has no
tag, which is also recommendable. You can have a headline containing important words for the site.
Hope this can help you a bit!

Hi Michael
Assuming this is Google PageRank that you're referring to, I'd suggest not paying much attention to it.
This is because it's only updated usually 3 or 4 times per year and is the public PageRank that Google occasionally publish, not Google's up-to-date internal PageRank for websites.
- There are alternatives that are more significant and meaningful, such as SEOmoz's Domain Authority, Page Authority, MozRank and MozTrust.
A really useful resource on SEO Ranking Factors is "The Periodic Table of SEO Ranking Factors" over on Search Engine Land.
Also, check out the "2011 SEO Ranking Factors" here on SEOmoz.
Making use of the SEOmoz Pro Tools to help with ideas and strategy to increase your website's authority signals will be far more beneficial than focusing on PageRank.
Hope that helps,
Regards
Simon

Has anybody ever seen (or written) a case study on increasing domain authority?
I am an in-house digital marketer for a small business in the UK. The majority of our business comes from people finding us on Google's organic SERPs for relevant search terms. Our website has been around since 1999 and we have established a great base of keyword rankings in that time from key vanity keywords in our field that generate a tonne of long tail rankings for the product pages on our site. Last year, I was given the target of increasing our websites DA from 40(something) to 60+ by the end of the year. I put a plan together at the start of the year which included things like 'create awesome content', 'promote awesome content', do 'proper' link building, do 'real' PR, make sure technical SEO is all up to scratch, increase CTR, reduce bounce rate etc etc But... I wanted to find some examples of case studies where SEO's had taken a site with a starting DA of 'whatever' and increased it to 'a way higher whatever'. I found a tonne of 'How to increase your domain authority' type blog posts which said things like 'create awesome content', 'promote awesome content', 'do proper link building' etc etc but no hard data case studies from people who had been successful in doing it! I really just wanted to make sure that the plan I was putting together, was focused on the right things! Does anybody know of any case studies? I'm still keen to check them out. Being a small business, it's often the case that once we've put a plan together, we quickly realize that we don't have the resources, time, personnel or budget to follow it through but at lest having the plan confirmed by successful case studies doing the same thing or similar would really encouraging! Thanks,

Finding Ranking for search term and increasing ranking
Hi. The company that I'm working with would like to rank highly in google for certain generic search terms (dentist, dentists, etc.). Certain websites the company has used to rank highly in google for generic keywords, but has not for years now since google has revised their algorithm so many times. Moz lists that the company websites are not found in the top 51+ results in google. My first question is: **Is there a way, apart from manually searching the results, to find the ranking position of the website in google? **Ideally, I would like to find a program that will do this. Second, I've been reading a lot of the great articles and comments on Moz, and I've been learning a lot more about SEO. My focus has shifted to spending more attention on User Experience and Social Media instead of placing the exact keywords in the pages / tags of the website. What area(s) should I be focusing on to best increase the ranking of the company website for certain generic terms? Ideally, I'd like to create good quality content, so that users will not instantly click away. I appreciate any thoughts or comments. Thank you in advance!

Cannot Increase Ranking For a Keyword Phrase
I've been working on the keyword phrase, "Niceville Assisted Living" for the website: http://nicevilleassistedliving.com and my increase in rankings has pretty much stalled. When I first started working on this website, a lot of the content was duplicated (which we took care of by plugging in unique content), there were locations listed on the homepage that were throwing my rankings off, I've created blog posts each week (we've even tried posting one post every day for a week), added the Facebook feed to the homepage, corrected errors in the theme, and I'm trying to get a resources page built. I know content is a very, very large part of SEO.. but it seems like the content I am plugging in isn't helping. There aren't any errors in Webmaster Tools and my keyword density is fairly close to the website ranking #1. I think my biggest problem is backlinks. Other websites have quite a few whereas the website I'm working on doesn't have any (I'm working on that, but the number I have doesn't compare to the websites ranking in the top three). I'm stumped as to what to do next. Does anyone have suggestions to improve the ranking for this keyword phrase?

Sudden drop in PageRank to Unranked
Howdy, A clients website has just dismorning (8/FEB/13) gone from index page PR:4 to Unranked including all inner pages on the domain. There is no contact on GWT or penalty email from Google. All organic rankings seem to be fine, and i read about the GWT backlink glitch earlier. Should I expect the worst? Thanks.. Mark

Sudden increase in number of indexed URLs. How ca I know what URLs these are?
We saw a spike in the total number of indexed URLs (17,000 to 165,000)--what would be the most efficient way to find out what the newly indexed URLs are?

How to increase rankings?
I know to increase rankings involves link building, but what kind of link building is worth it and what type is not? At the moment most of my link building effort is focused on guest blogging, which has worked well for me, I have seen some good movement on a range of keywords using this tactic but I cant help but think I could get a lot more movement in the serp's if I mixed it up a little. A few other link building techniques I know of are below, but I don't really use them, so my question is what ones should I be using combined with my guest blogging to give my rankings that little extra help. 1. Directory Submissions 2. Article Submissions 3. Press Release Distribution 4. Forum Signatures 5. Blog Comments 6. Social bookmarking 7. Social Sites (Squidoo, Weebly, Wordpress, blogger) If I have missed something please let me know. Cheers

How Fast Is Too Fast to Increase Page Volume of Your Site
I am working on a project that is basically a site to list apartment for rent (similar to apartments.com or rent.com). We want to add a bunch of amenity pages, price pages, etc. Basically increasing the page count on the site and helping users be able to have more pages relevant to their searches and long tail phrases. So an example page would be Denver apartments with a pool would be one page and Seattle apartments under 900 would be another page etc. By doing this we will take the site from about 14,000 pages or so to over 2 million by the time we add a list of amenities to every city in the US. My question is should I worry about time release on them? Meaning do you think we would get penalized for launching that many pages overnight or over the course of a week? How fast is too fast to increase the content on your site? The site about a year old and we are not trying to scam anything just looking to site functionality and page volume. Any advice?
