Confounding "Accessible to Engines" error?
-
Most of the pages on our site "Accessible to Engines" test in the SEOmoz reports. We cannot find any problem with the code and it's largely identical to the few pages that come up with an "A" score. One item that may be a reason is that we use
meta http-equiv="refresh" content="600;
For example in www.weatherzone.com.au/nsw/sydney/sydney
We use this to fresh dynamic content on our site. Do search engines penalise pages that use this form of page refresh?
Alternatively, is there a known bug in the SEOmoz "Accessible to Engines" report?
Many thanks

Thanks, I just did.

Khellar, your best bet would be to email [email protected], as the help team doesn't regularly go through Q&A.

I'm also getting an "accessible to engines" error. What's up with this? Any response?

Hi Shaun and Alan
Thanks for responses. I received Aaron's reply.
However, he did not answer the critical question whether the use of the "meta refresh" tag penalises SEO performance as he indicated that he is not an SEO expert. Aaron suggested I post the question here to obtain a more authoritative answer.

This would be a question that should be posted through the SEOmoz Help Desk to get the most accurate response.

Increase in authorization permission errors (Access Denied - Error 403)
Hi MOZ community, Since last week when I changed my theme in a WP installation I noticed (in WMT and MOZ tool) that I have increased number in authorization permission errors (error 403-forbidden). What happens is that I received a 403 error for almost every single URL of my site. All these URLs are not "real" ones but they all have my email in the end. i.e. I get an 403 error for the "/contact/[email protected]" whilst the real URL is just "/contact/" This happens, as I said, for almost every single page of my site. I have no other crawling or indexation issues, all URLs are correctly indexed. All new pages are correctly indexed as well. URIs ending with "[email protected]" are not indexed off course. WP and all installed plugins & theme are on the latest available release. For SEO purposes I use Yoast SEO WP plugin. The site in questions is: fantasylogic.com Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance

404 : Errors in crawl report - all pages are listed with index.html on a WordPress site
Hi Mozers, I have recently submitted a website using moz, which has pulled up a second version of every page on the WordPress site as a 404 error with index.html at the end of the URL. e.g Live page URL - http://www.autostemtechnology.com/applications/civil-blasting/ Report page URL - http://www.autostemtechnology.com/applications/civil-blasting/index.html The permalink structure is set as /%postname%/ For some reason the report has listed every page with index.html at the end of the page URL. I have tried a number of redirects in the .htaccess file but doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions will be strongly appreciated. Thanks

404 Errors generating in WP
Our crawl reports are generating back several 404 errors for pages with urls that look like: /category/consulting/page/5/ The tag changes, the page number changes, but the result is always the same: A big glaring 404. Our sites are built on WordPress Multi-site, and I am fairly certain this issue is on the WP end, but I can't figure out why it is generating pages out to infinity, essentially, from the tags and categories. It is worse on some sites than others, but is happening across the board (my initial concern was that it might be a theme issue, but that does not seem to be the case). If anyone has run into this issue and knows a fix, you're insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

When do the "just discovered" links on Open Site Explorer count?
I have been working hard to get follow backlinks but they have all been in the Just Discovered part of Open Site Explorer for a long time. So they don't count in my stats for Domain Authority and such. When do they move OUT of Just Discovered?

"Does not respond to web requests" error
When trying to set up a new campaign I get the following message:
Moz Pro | | bshanahan
"Roger has detected a problem: We have detected that the domain www.chicagofinancialadvisers.com does not respond to web requests. Using this domain, we will be unable to crawl your site or present accurate SERP information." Can someone please tell me what I need to do on my site to make this work? I haven't seen this before and have done many other campaigns. Thanks a lot!0 -
Campaign report errors
one of the heavily noted errors for the first crawl of our domain was duplicate titles. I did not see a list of the pages and their current titles, but i am pretty sure it is somewhere to be found. That would help focus the work to do. Am I wrong about that?
