Mutiple domains pointing on the same web site issues
-
We have in out company lots off different domains pointing to the same web site (On for most major countries actually...) . Unfortunately this was done by having all the DNS names to point to the same IP address to the target web site, and not by using a redirect as should have been done.
As most of the pages on the web site are linked internally (All the pages of the site links at least to the front page), this resulted to have all the different domains linking one to each other causing artificial external backlinks to our main .com web site.
I just wonder if google is giving us a penallity for this backlinks ? Also this causes the same content to be shared among different domains, resulting probably to self competition for keywords.
Should we now remove all other domains resulting to a loss of these "artificial backlinks" ?

No just get your 301 in place, make sure all internal links point dirctly to the domain you choose so not to get un-necessary redirects.
Then your link juice should consolidate within a few weeks

Web 2.0 Backlinks
Hi Normal Web 2.0 websites like Wordpress.com, blogger.com have very High DA and PA. But when we create a subdomain, DA and PA falls to 1 as Google treats subdomain as new websites. Does it make any sense then to get backlinks from web 2.0 websites? will it help in Google rankings?

Multiple Sites Vs. Single Site
We're a growing law firm looking into expanding into different practices of law. The question we're running into is should we create new sites for our different practice areas or add them to our current site? If we create multiple sites we have to divide our linking building efforts, but if we maintain everything under a single domain will be harder to be considered an "expert" on each section of law and get ranked well in each category? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Exact match domains still work??
I'm sure this has been asked and it also has been answered but I'd like some insight from another SEO as to why this site -> www dot newhomesglasgow.co.uk/ is ranking on the first page for the keyword(you guessed it) 'new homes in glasgow' OSE shows about 4 backlinks. Is it just the content on the page(that's jammed with keywords) and the matching URL? Any feedback would be appreciated 🙂

Multiple blogs for one site
Hello, one of my competitors built all these blogs and pointed them to their main site.. Is this white hat? http://steelbuildingsblog.org/ PR3 http://metal-church-buildings.net/ PR2 http://commercial-metal-buildings.org/ PR2 http://metalandsteelbuildings.net/ PR1 http://steel-storage-buildings.org/ PR2 http://texas-steel-buildings.net/ PR2 http://steel-metal-buildings.org/ PR3 http://metal-buildingstore.com/ PR2 http://metalagriculturalbuildings.net/ PR3 Also I am looking at my links vs. theirs and they have a much higher point score for links... But the company I am doing SEO for has most of same quality links. Can this be the reason they have an edge?
