Wikipedia Company Page
-
I put up a company page on wikipedia and a mod took it down. How can I get a company page on wikipedia?
Thanks!

Greetings Champions!
Sir Thomas is correct, Wikipedia is a non profit organization and can not help profiting companies in that manner. If you notice companies like Dell, and IBM have pages because of their historical significance. I also thought this would be awesome and tried it, with the same results even after a lengthy talk with a mod. Good luck on your quests for Page 1!

I believe...
As an associate/employee/owner of a business/website you cannot create a page for your self within Wikipedia
Wikipedia is a resource for general consensus information, not just information. Not saying you "marketing-hyped" it up, but even if you did a great objective wiki... It is still not a consensus since you did it on yourself therefore technically not "UN-biased" information.
So technically you can't "get" a page on Wikipedia it needs to be created about you.... And only if you are important enough to deem a page, but not really sure what important enough threshold is.
If you are an SEO company and not SEOMOZ or another notable SEO company with worldwide recognition I am not sure i would waste my time.... But that is only my opinion.

Standardising of Company Name Across The Web Question
Good Morning All There are two variations of our company name on the website. Sometimes the name is listed as "name and name" and sometimes listed as "name & name" The domain is obviously www.nameandname.co.uk I believe I am correct in saying that we would be wise to go through and standardise, using one form or the other? Secondly, my main question is would we be wise to use "name and name" as the default, as the word "and" and not the symbol "&" is in the domain itself? Many Thanks

Really, what are the benefits of creating a Google Brand page for an e-commerce site?
We have a jewellery store client who already have a Google My Business page set up for its store front business. Should we also create a Google Brand page for its e-commerce site (which has a different business name to the jewellery store)? This client already has a pretty robust Facebook profile. Is it worth it maintaining a Brand page then - since it targets Google plus users?

Gateway Pages
I have read that gateway pages are frowned upon by the search engines? If you have multiple domain names that are related to your main website what is the best way to get the greatest use from those related domain names? Thank-you.

Why is Google suddenly not Ranking my page in a second language in its appropriate target country?
Hi, One of my clients has company Facebook pages in several languages. The page in Arabic, which was targeted at Saudi Arabia, used to rank 5th place on the search for the brand name. The page has a steady growth of followers and a high engagement rate. for the past week it suddenly completely fell off ranking and instead the English page ranks #5 in the results for the brand name in Saudi Arabia. What could have caused this change and what can we do to bring the target language page back to its ranking?

Should we have customers like our URL or our Facebook brand page?
(Note: main question in bold) I know this post basically establishes that Facebook shares are not a strong cause of increased rankings. But what about likes? I've searched and read through the forum and YouMoz blog but haven't really found this question answered. We just redesigned our site and we're implementing sharing options in the booking and order completion processes - should we point the Facebook Like button to like our URL or our Facebook brand page (currently with 3,800+ likes)? Seems that a like of the URL would be more direct ranking value (what we're going for), but according to that same post mentioned above, Google doesn't crawl or index FB wall pages... so is all Facebook activity - shares, url likes, brand page likes - for naught? (at least for now, till Google starts using that info)
