Whats the SEO value of getting Likes to your brand's Facebook Page (not your site's URLs being Liked)?
-
UPDATED: I meant to say SEO VALUE, not just business value
Lets say I have a site - www.company.com, and I set up a Facebook Page - www.facebook.com/company.
I understand the SEO value of having the domain www.company.com "Liked", using the FB Like button on my homepage lets say, or the same goes for individual pages - www.company.com/page.
My question is rather about having my Facebook Page - Facebook.com/company "Liked". Are those likes counted by the engines as a strong signal that www.company.com should rank well? Or only that the Facebook Page - Facebook.com/company should rank well in searches for that company?
-
Thanks Nick - although I meant to say SEO value for my company website

Will spammers hurt your Facebook?
HI, We have noticed as SEO person, whom we feel has become a spammer of sorts, has been liking all of our Facebook post to his Facebook. Will this effect our site and facebook page by him simply liking them all? Thanks

Facebook Pages for Business
Our company has over 100+ stores. Does it make sense to have a main Facebook page and individual pages for each location? How does each affect SERPs? Thanks!

SEO and AddThis implementation question
We recently implemented AddThis social sharing on our Website. I am seeing an undesirable side-effect. In Firefox and Chrome browsers, some kind of tracking snippet appears to be appending to our URLs. This is not happening in IE (or if it is it isn't visible). I am concerned about how these URLs look in the address bar to our visitors and I'm also worried about potential duplicate content issues arising when a spider crawls the site. It appears to only be an issue with our product detail pages. The category pages all seem fine. [I am sure this is because social sharing button are only installed on the product pages]. Here is an example: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/product/williams-sound-personal-pa-377#.UFnvkVG-7Aw This URL should be: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/product/williams-sound-personal-pa-377 Is there a workaround for this problem? Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a solution? Thanks!

Benefits of getting inbound links to your Facebook account to go through your domain?
Hi, I was browsing a magazine recently and came across an advert that had a text of: domain.com.au/facebook When you visit this address you are automatically redirected to their Facebook account. It got me thinking, is there any benefit to this? It's the first time I've seen it and I presume they get links from outside sources to their FB account to go to domain.com.au/facebook rather than facebook.com/sitename Thanks

Facebook etiquette
Should you post on competitor's facebook page, I had an opportunity to recommend a client site for their services. The facebook page was a holiday company, they only offered hotels & apartments, the post asked do they do villas and they responded with "no" and wished them luck. Should I have posted a link to our clients website or facebook page?

Buying Facebook Likes
It's quite easy to buy Facebook likes & fans these days. You can get 200 for five bucks at fiverr. I am sure that most of the likes are from fake accounts. But do you think it will have any affect anyway? And is this black hat SEO or is it just collateral from trying to boost the # likes / fans?
