I'm a little nervous about moving to CloudFlare. I'd love to hear everyone's experience with CloudFlare or other CDNs.
PS My site is static and non SSL.
-
I'm going to add it to a really BIG site we are working on. I will keep you all posted.
-
Thanks. I am looking into putting Piwik on my server to have another source so I can compare with GA.
-
I don't think I answered your analytics question very well. Cloudflare is really not giving any useful stats. Just a graph of hits, crawlers, threats, and unique visitors. I still use ga for keyword and content data.
-
Very pleased so far, though I have no experience with any other CDN. GA reporting was not altered at all. It is interesting to see that cloudflare is reporting nearly twice as many visitors as GA. I guess there's a lot of folks blocking java script. It has cut requests and bandwidth to my server in half and blocked quite a few spammers and botnet zombies. I would certainly recommend.
-
How are you getting on? Still happy? What are the analytics like? Giving you anything you can't get from Google Analytics?
-
Page sppeed will only have a afect on rankings if your page is really slow. Matt cutts said it affects less than 1% iof pages
so going from a average speed to a fast speed will have no affect.
-
Update.
We installed cloudflare 10 days ago. Doesn't seem to be affecting our rankings. Seomoz's thursday update showsa slight improvment in most of my keywords this week. Probably unrelated. Our site is monstrously faster. Cloudflare also claims to have blocked 4% of my traffic as a known threat (likely spammers). From my short experience and the recommendation of my developer, I would have to give it a thumbs up.
-
I've also been looking into Cloudflare for a security plan. Also interested to here peoples experiences and if there is any SEO issues with using it.
-
I use Azure, Microsoft's cloud.
Its quite simple to use and quite cheap with a 3 month free trial. If you are a Microsoft Partner you get a lot for free and cheaper rates on the rest

I have over 3000 4xx errors on my site for pages that don't exist! Please help!
Hello! I have a new blog that is only 1 month old and I already have over 3000 4xx errors which I've never had on my previous blogs. I ran a crawl on my site and it's showing as my social media links as being indexed as pages. For example, my blog post link is:
Technical SEO | | thebloggersi
https://www.thebloggersincentive.com/blogging/get-past-a-creative-block-in-blogging/
My site is then creating a link like the below:
https://www.thebloggersincentive.com/blogging/get-past-a-creative-block-in-blogging/twitter.com/aliciajthomps0n
But these are not real pages and I have no idea how they got created. I then paid someone to index the links because I was advised by Moz, but it's still not working. All the errors are the same, it's indexing my Twitter account and my Pinterest. Can someone please help, I'm really at a loss with it.

IP Indexing of MySQL with 80,000 links , help please
Hi There, We were just using one server for both Mysql & httpd server. The server's IP address was 207.36.90.69. Time to time the server couldn't handle the requests so we decided to get new servers in order to handle them. When i talk to my system engineer and software developer about this, they've suggested clustering our site http://goo.gl/ITNqs. So we moved our site http://goo.gl/ITNqs to the server (216.87.165.21) but we kept the old machine 207.36.90.69 to use as MySQL server and deleted all HTTP related files last year. Somehow google indexed 80K unnatural links from this old IP 207.36.90.69. We have received an unnatural links warning back in august and got a link related penalty on sept 28th. Our webmaster tools are showing that we have 80,000 link pointing to our site from the old server with only mysql on it. Can someone help us understand how google crawler indexed an IP with no http related files on it for almost a year, 10 months to be exact. Thank you

Duplicate content issues, I am running into challenges and am looking for suggestions for solutions. Please help.
So I have a number of pages on my real estate site that display the same listings, even when parsed down by specific features and don't want these to come across as duplicate content pages. Here are a few examples: http://luxuryhomehunt.com/homes-for-sale/lake-mary/hanover-woods.html?feature=waterfront http://luxuryhomehunt.com/homes-for-sale/lake-mary/hanover-woods.html This happens to be a waterfront community so all the homes are located along the waterfront. I can use a canonical tag, but I not every community is like this and I want the parsed down feature pages to get index. Here is another example that is a little different: http://luxuryhomehunt.com/homes-for-sale/winter-park/bear-gully-bay.html http://luxuryhomehunt.com/homes-for-sale/winter-park/bear-gully-bay.html?feature=without-pool http://luxuryhomehunt.com/homes-for-sale/winter-park/bear-gully-bay.html?feature=4-bedrooms http://luxuryhomehunt.com/homes-for-sale/winter-park/bear-gully-bay.html?feature=waterfront So all the listings in this community happen to have 4 bedrooms, no pool, and are waterfront. Meaning that they display for each of the parsed down categories. I can possible set something that if the listings = same then use canonical of main page url, but in the next case its not so simple. So in this next neighborhood there are 48 total listings as seen at: http://luxuryhomehunt.com/homes-for-sale/windermere/isleworth.html and being that it is a higher end neighborhood, 47 of the 48 listings are considered "traditional listings" and while it is not exactly all of them it is 99%. Any recommendations is appreciated greatly.

Help needed please with 301 redirects in htaccess file.
In summary, we're currently having issues with our htaccess file. 301 redirects are going through to the new described URL but in addition the new URL is followed by a ? and the old URL. How can we get rid of the ? and previous URL so they don't appear as an ending. None of the examples we've found re this issue online appear to work. Can anyone please offer some advice? Can we use a RewriteRule to stop this happening? Here's a summary of the htaccess file REDIRECT CODE BEGINS HERE LONG LIST OF REDIRECTS, which appear to be set up perfectly fine. Please advice needed SSL .htaccess
Hi everyone, I recently installed verisign ssl. the idea to have page https://example.com all redirect from non-http to https work properly, but in IE whenever smbdy types https://www.example.com it shows the red screen with invalid certificate. If you click "proceed" - everything goes to normal page and on server redirect www to non-www seem to work fine. Is there way to get rid of the warning? Is it server or certificate issue? Here is the peice of code from htaccess. Please, advice needed! RewriteEngine On RewriteBase /RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on RewriteRule ^(.*) https://%{SERVER_NAME}/$1 [R,L] RewriteRule ^index.php$ - [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] Thanks in advance
