How can I set up user account for differnt people within one account?
-
We have multiple team members and would like to setup unique profiles for each instead of one generic profile. Is that possible?

While I understand what you are saying, I would say that we have other SAS apps as well. We have some we pay more for and some we pay less. (And we are on the Pro Plus here). I would say give it a chance and see what the vale us for you.
I have employees who go online on this account all of the time to do the work. A couple have non paid accounts as well. They are not allowed to give me a thumbs up and I fire them if they are caught thumbing me down... just kidding.Between the great resources on here, the whiteboard Friday, great youmoz users blog, SEOmoz blog, Q and A that is rocking with quality SEO types, etc. I have learned a ton in a year and a half. Forget about the tools available and the fact there is a concerted effort to keep them updated, the other things are more than worth the fees.
Give it a try for a couple of months, if after that it is not worth it, try another.

Thanks for the quick replies and detailed information. I'm quite surprised that the Pro subscription at $99 per month only includes one user. For an application that costs $1,200 per year to use, allowing one user seems pretty weak.
In comparing pricing across the landscape of SaaS webapps it's a unique case.
I'm also a bit surprised that other users are willing to signup for seperate accounts, in my opinion, the pressure should be on SEOMoz to better serve users but allowing for multiple users per Pro account, at $99 a month at least three users seems more than fair.

Good point Ryan. There would need to be some checks and balances. (Thumbs up, down, etc.). But, in the end, if you have a true believer move to another agency they are going to spread the word and moz becomes richer for it.
-
I agree with Robert. I will add it would be a nice suggestion for SEOmoz to offer the ability for agencies to add employees to the "master" account. It would need to be thought out. For example, what is an employee leaves the agency and goes to another one? The employees SEOmoz profile of posts and such should remain in tact.

Attiya, The only way you can do that is to have separate memberships. So, if you are on a Pro membership and need additional capacity for campaigns, rank tracking, etc. get a second pro as opposed to a Pro plus.
We are on Pro Plus and are going to add a pro as opposed to going to Pro Elite. If we get to the point where we need additional campaigns provided by having the elite versus two pro plus (one campaign), we will likely just get another pro so that we have an additional staff member on Moz. For me, I see the value as an agency for my people to be involved as themselves so that they are more engaged. They can all be on moz without paying and set up accounts prior to going to pro, etc.
Best of luck to you,
Robert

Can anybody point me to an OSE tutorial blog on Competitive Analysis?
I came across a few blogs which got me started here on an SEOmoz Pro account and now I am working on building a competitive link analysis spreadsheet in Excel in order to identify how are competitors are beating us in Google rankings for specific keywords. One article I came across seemed to do exactly what I wanted, but the images are all broken and the downloads require a membership to some service I am not interested in: http://www.seerinteractive.com/blog/how-are-they-beating-you-quick-seo-analysis-tools-part-1/ Anybody have any resources like this they can share? Thank you.

Can I see when SEO Moz has crawled my website?
I would like to know if it's possible to see (maybe in my Google Analytics) if SEO Moz has crawled my website. I'm also curious if and where I can see when the robot of Google visited my website. Thanks!

Can we add sites to the crawl queue for OSE?
Is it possible to request that Open Site Explorer crawls a new URL on its next run? This tool is the first place I go to when working on a new site, and when there is "No Data Available" this is a little frustrating. I fully appreciate that this lack of data is usually a signal that the website is either very new or of low quality, however that if often the reason that I am brought in and would very much like to benchmark and provide initial analysis using this tool. It would make sense that OSE crawls the sites that Moz members are working on wouldnt it? Scott.

How can you set SEOmoz to work with your dev site behind an htpasswd?
All sites need to be developed from the small to the grand - and this takes time. Development usually takes place on a subdomain different from our live domain. It is locked down behind an htpasswd during development so its not picked up by searching engines - that may create duplicate content issues if when the site goes live it has already scanned our site on the development server. Its also a security implementation to keep the site away from prying eyes before its ready for launch There could be security holes that have not been tweaked. Whats the best strategy to get SEOmoz involved in this scenario. Its tools are invaluable to the SEO part of the build - but the seomoz crawler bot has a different IP address (being cloud based) - so we cannot just let a single IP address through our htpasswd. Also is there a way to link the dev and live site in seomoz - so when it goes live to maintain all teh same logs without having to create two seperate site campaigns? Thanks!

Can export be sped up?
Good tool guys. Basically, when I used to work at a software development company, we used to have a huge hosted app that had to import/export 10's of 1,000's of records, and at batch of 10,000 could be done in a few seconds. When exporting from OSE, it can take several minutes. Thanks and keep up the good work. Look forward to when your database can catch up to Yahoo's old SiteExplorer (yes, I know they were a full on search engine 🙂 but your one of the only decent alternatives, so guessing you're getting quite popular now 🙂

How can I clean up my crawl report from duplicate records?
I am viewing my Crawl Diagnostics Report. My report is filled with data which really shouldn't be there. For example I have a page: http://www.terapvp.com/forums/Ghost/ This is a main forum page. It contains a list of many threads. The list can be sorted on many values. The page is canonicalized, and has been since it was created. My crawl report shows this page listed 15 times. http://www.terapvp.com/forums/Ghost/?direction=asc http://www.terapvp.com/forums/Ghost/?direction=desc http://www.terapvp.com/forums/Ghost/?order=post_date and so forth. Each of those pages uses the same canonicalization reference shared above. I have three questions: Why is this data appearing in my crawl report? These pages are properly canonicalized. If these pages are supposed to appear in the report for some reason, how can I remove them? My desire is to focus on any pages which may have an issue which needs to be addressed. This site has about 50 forum pages and when you add an extra 15 pages per forum, it becomes a lot harder to locate actionable data. To make matters worse, these forum indexes often have many pages. So if I have a "Corvette" forum there that is 10 pages long, then there will be 150 extra pages just for that particular forum in my crawl report. Is there anything I am missing? To the best of my knowledge everything is set up according to the best SEO practices. If there is any other opinions, I would like to hear them.
