Links from Real Estate Websites Link Page, Do or Don't?
-
It seems that real estate sites have at times been under heavier scrutiny from the search engines. But real estate agents get networking, which makes acquiring those links a little bit easier. Plus with localization of search, I think real estate sites may give off a good GEO scent.
Should SEO's go for links from real estate websites?
Does a reciprocal link devalue said links?

Good example. If there is a business case to do it offline then it should be allowed online.

I would think that actually a lot of local resources could be relevant for a real estate site to have. The OP is part of a pest control firm. If they did termite inspections, that would be a very relevant link from a real estate agent. Same for a moving company carpet cleaning, housecleaning, etc. Anything that might be used when someone is moving in or moving out. Even if I were a coffee shop, I might team up with an agent to do a welcome gift basket for the people moving into an area (to get them familiar with my brand) and see if there was a way to get a link in a local recommended business section.
Note that this is hypothetical -- my business is model warship combat boats, and I really can't think of a good tie-in with real estate there without stretching things a whole lot.

There's quite a few sectors that have a bad rep SEO wise. Real estate is one of the ones where it's because the competition is very tight. However I think this is primarily the reason, the competition. Other sectors that receive attention (adult dating, poker, pornography, forex, mlm affiliation) are usually because they're competitive and packed to the gills with black hats. So, that said I wouldn't consider Real Estate a 'bad neighborhood' like the aforementioned. At the same time though, I wouldn't bother grooming links with them unless I was specializing in Real Estate SEO.

I would go for the link but not the reciprocal link. On devaluing the link, it all depends on if the site is relevant to yours.

Links to sub pages
Hi, if I am building links to pages outside of my home page, is that link still a referring domain. Also, does that link also help the SEO of the keywords targeted on the home page. Most of our links are home page targeted and we need to start ranking on subpages but need to know if these links only help the page they are aimed at

Back link from site with DA of 72 to a website domain. Clicking on the link redirects to our website not the attended one.
Hi,
Link Building | | JIMBO16
I've ran a back link check and discovered a good back link to a site which then gets redirected back to my company's website. I have a feeling that an old SEO agency has purchased a small website which has a decent link back from a relevant organisation with a high Domain authority and then redirects the domain to our website to get the link juice. What are your thought on this? Is this really bad practise and possibly damaging? Thanks, Jim0 -
Spam links in spam analyses tool: Referral page doesn't exist anymore
Hi, I have the following problem: The spam analyses tool in MOZ gives me a few links with a spam score of 10 and 9. I want to remove those links and try to contact the webmaster before disavowing the links. I read about being careful with too much disavowing. Unfortunately removing the links isn't possible because three different reasons: The page/subdomain of one referring website that should have a link to my website doesn't exist anmymore (compliance.ikkiesvoorverandering.nl/). The website http://ikkiesvoorverandering.nl does exist, but is almost empty and there is no possibility to contact the webmaster. What do you guys recommend to do in this situation? Any experience with this problem? On another website (with again no contact option) there is a link who directs to a former website, which has a redirect to my current website. I have no Google search console on that old website anymore. Does that make it impossible to disavow the link? What are other option to remove this link? The website that comes up in the spam analyses tool is pretty much empty (http://veensma.jouwbegin.nl/). How can I delete a link from an empty website? Any thoughts? I hope someone can help me with this, Would be glad to here from you 🙂 Lars

Multiple Links from High Ranking Site Vs. Links from Multiple Domains - What's More Important?
I understand it is important to get links from many quality domains. Currently, I do have links from top domains (PR, Trust) and it I can get more from (high rank) pages on these same domains. Would it be better to focus on expanding my reach (find additional domains to link from) or to continue to build links from the current domains I have a connection with? What is weighted more? I realize doing both is important, but trying to figure out how to best use my time. Thanks! David

How do websites get links here...
Does anyone know how people get into the "Top Links on This Topic" section of the Huffington Post? I can see that the "Around the Web" section is curated by someone, in this case "Jeff Muskus" but there is no indication how the Top Links on This Topic appear on a page. The only thing I noticed is that the original article appearing in HP is almost a year older than any of the referenced links.
