Node.js for SEO
-
We've got a client building a site using node.js (http://nodejs.org/) I'm not at all familiar with this and of course need to know how nodejs impacts SEO? Are you familiar with it? Any sites you know of using it? But as I said, bottom line - how will it impact the SEO on the site?
-
Node.js is a language that allows you to use JavaScript on the server. if you're familiar with JavaScript, it's usually all executed on the client side, on the browser.
As it's all on the server, it won't have any direct impact on the SEO of the site. They list a few users on http://nodejs.org/, like Microsoft, eBay, LinkedIn, and Yahoo!.

What Keeps In-House SEOs Up @ Night
We are writing a research summary piece on in-house seo strategies. We're not trying to solve the worlds problems - we simply want to know what problems you face and how you try and solve them. We've broken our research into three key areas (training, value, and measurement). We would greatly appreciate your insights, thoughts, and recommendations. We will share our final paper (with sources) when completed. Here are the questions we're asking: How do you train and support your seo team? How do you show SEO value in the wake of Google algo changes including (keyword not provided)? How can SEO show value to other parts of the organization including market research, product managers, channel managers, etc? What should you be measuring and who should reports go to? Does Sticky Post in WordPress Have Impact on SEO?
Hi, I Have a Blog that I have attached a "sticky" post, obviously the content in the "sticky" post is the content that I want to ensure that everyone sees. I do update, by adding new posts daily or at least everyother day, my question is: Is the "sticky" post hurting, helping, or is it indifferent to SEO? I know the SE enjoy fresh content, and was wondering does that fresh content have to pop-up at the top of the page otr not. Any input would be great. Thanks. Jimmy

Secondshells.com has $3k a month to spend on SEO & marketing. HOW should I spend it & with whom?
We have a Magento based ecommerce site www.secondshells.com and are looking for ways to improve traffic. Our goal is to drive sales of our products. We are in the Android tablet accessory business, since its fairly new the competition is not that great, we would like to get up in organic rankings for our keywords. We have blog updated daily, building backlinks, PR, facebook, twitter, google+, Videos on Youtube, PPC, product feeds to Bing, Google & The Find. The foundation is there but it's a lot to handle in-house. The real question is who to choose to execute the strategy & where to pick them from. There are 1,000's of companies, individuals, Elance & Odesk. Who to choose to execute is more difficult than choosing the direction. We are straightforward and intelligent and want people who can provide a plan of action, execute and report it. All white hat seomoz style of promotion. There are so many choices and avenues to pursue that it is difficult to make a decision as to which way to go. Any guidance or suggestions will be appreciated. SecondShells

When will Rand put out "Art of SEO 2nd Edition"? (ANSWER: IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS)
First edition was printed in the end of 2009. Great Book. Needs updating of course. I would buy the next edition if it was updated in an awesome way that I know Rand and the others would do.

Managing SEO Partners
Hi, Up until yesterday my main role was to implement & create SEO strategies and analytics for varying clients, and our own agency. Going forward I have been tasked with sourcing and managing SEO partners for our existing and future clients. This is totally a new concept for me, and I was wondering if any mozzers out there have been tasked with similar roles and could give me some ideas on what questions I should be asking, or maybe have an SEO matrix to rank agencies to help match to clients? Your help as always is greatly appreciated. Many thanks Sean
