Yelp, yahoo, local directories..

We are currently in one location and we are moving our office.
Would it be better to leave all the directories and add new listings with the new address? This way we get 2 listings until someone in this address claims a business here.
or
Would it be better to change all the existing to the new address?

Hi Donnie,
If you're vacating the old address and will be located solely in the new office, you need to change all existent listings and citations to reflect your new address. The reason this is so important is that Google can become very confused if they find two sets of NAP (name, address, phone number) for your business and may not trust your new information because the old info is hanging around out there.
As Guy has pointed out, this is a time consuming process. Do a little every day and you can get it done. It really is necessary. Good luck!

No matter what, it is a pain in the butt. We've moved three times and have three different addresses listed all around the web. Tackling this is a huge project and takes a lot of time. I'd suggest worrying only about the big players that show up when you search your brand.
I'd rather have one strong listing versus two listings. Plus, having address listed as some where else can confuse clients as to where to go or mail items.

Your point in having the next business list at your old address is a valid concern. If you are keeping a presence at this old address and opening an additional new address, you do not have to change the existing listings and citations. Simply start building an additional local listing.
If you are moving all together, leaving the old location, you likely will have a lot of work ahead of you. Most importantly, develop a plan on how and when to change your listings to the new address. It is a massive job and you want to be prepared, knowing what and where you need to change when that day comes.

Directory with Duplicate content? what to do?
Moz keeps finding loads of pages with duplicate content on my website. The problem is its a directory page to different locations. E.g if we were a clothes shop we would be listing our locations: www.sitename.com/locations/london www.sitename.com/locations/rome www.sitename.com/locations/germany The content on these pages is all the same, except for an embedded google map that shows the location of the place. The problem is that google thinks all these pages are duplicated content. Should i set a canonical link on every single page saying that www.sitename.com/locations/london is the main page? I don't know if i can use canonical links because the page content isn't identical because of the embedded map. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Directory concerns - am I right to request nofollow?
A client had taken a free trial on a directory - a niche directory which only takes food related websites. They mentioned, in passing, that the directory listing was replicated across 90 food-relevant "partner" sites [alarm bells!] - some of which use nofollow - some which don't, apparently. The main directory doesn't use nofollow and offers a mix of monthly-fee based listings or free listings. I've demanded a nofollow backlink from the main site and partner sites, or no backlink... what are your thoughts?

Why do Local "5 pack" results vary between showing Google+, Google+ and website address
I had a client ask me a good question. When they pull up a search result they show up at the top but only with a link to their G+ page. Other competitors show their web address and G+ page. Why are these results different in the same search group? Is there a way to ensure the web address shows up?

How is Google crawling and indexing this directory listing?
We have three Directory Listing pages that are being indexed by Google: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/jsp/ http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/jsp/html/ http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/jsp/pdf/ How and why is Googlebot crawling and indexing these pages? Nothing else links to them (although the /jsp.html/ and /jsp/pdf/ both link back to /jsp/). They aren't disallowed in our robots.txt file and I understand that this could be why. If we add them to our robots.txt file and disallow, will this prevent Googlebot from crawling and indexing those Directory Listing pages without prohibiting them from crawling and indexing the content that resides there which is used to populate pages on our site? Having these pages indexed in Google is causing a myriad of issues, not the least of which is duplicate content. For example, this file <tt>CCI-SALES-STAFF.HTML</tt> (which appears on this Directory Listing referenced above - http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/jsp/html/) clicks through to this Web page: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/jsp/html/CCI-SALES-STAFF.HTML This page is indexed in Google and we don't want it to be. But so is the actual page where we intended the content contained in that file to display: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/category/meet-our-sales-staff As you can see, this results in duplicate content problems. Is there a way to disallow Googlebot from crawling that Directory Listing page, and, provided that we have this URL in our sitemap: http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/category/meet-our-sales-staff, solve the duplicate content issue as a result? For example: Disallow: /StoreFront/jsp/ Disallow: /StoreFront/jsp/html/ Disallow: /StoreFront/jsp/pdf/ Can we do this without risking blocking Googlebot from content we do want crawled and indexed? What is the best strategy to get a company located in one city, but does business in other cities, ranked locally in the other cities as well?
For example: this client is a custom clothier located in Phoenix, but would like to come up in the search engines for Scottsdale, Tucson, Prescott, Chicago, etc., because he travels to those cities and does business there with his custom clothing business. His website is www.artfultailoring.com Right now, he'll come up for custom suits phoenix, custom shirts phoenix az, etc. So how would I get him to come up in the search engines in more locations than just Phoenix?
