Duplicate Page Title
-
I'm new to SEO and have just signed up to SEOMOZ to see what I can learn.
I got the report back on my site and it indicates various errors, one of them being Duplicate Page Title -
I have a blog on my site and a lot of pages identified as with duplicates are like this:
http://www.martinspencephotography.co.uk/blog?page=2
Is it important I rectify this? Do I need to rectify it?

Martin,
Anthony is completely right. I would also suggest improving your image tags. You do have alt tags but they are repetitive as well. For example your bride images have the same tag alt="Bride at Cultra Manor". Those are ten images that you can use a few keywords and be descriptive.
BTW, great pictures!.

Yes. This is very important to fix. Each page on your site should have it's own unique page title that accurately describes the content of the page and contains a keyword.
Right now, every page on your site has the same title. Your title looks alright for your homepage. My one suggestion would be to try putting the company name at the end.
**Northern Ireland Landscape & Documentary Wedding Photographer - Martin Spence Photography**
Individual Pages on your site should have unique titles. Perhaps something closer to this:
- Black & White Landscape Photographer - Northern Ireland - Martin Spence Photography
- Colour Landscape Photographer - Northern Ireland - Martin Spence Photography
- Northern Ireland Documentary Wedding Photographer - Martin Spence Photography
- Buy Black & White Northern Ireland Landscape Prints - Martin Spence Photography
- Northern Ireland Photography Blog - Martin Spence Photography
Not only do these titles more accurately describe each page, but they also cast a much wider net on keywords giving you more visibility in the search engines.
Good luck updating your site. You'll find plenty of articles about 'writing title tags' if you look around.

I noticed that in the redirect issues I have, most of the issues are coming from our Intercom support links. I want to ask, does intercom support pages and redirect issue can affect the SEO performance of our website?

Will adjusted bounce rate affect avg time on page?
I recently read Rob Beirne's piece on how and why to set up an adjusted bounce rate in Google Analytics (https://mza.seotoolninja.com/blog/adjusted-bounce-rate). I am getting myself ready to talk to our site team about why we should set up an adjusted bounce rate and am anticipating some questions I'd like to be able to answer: 1. Will an adjusted bounce rate improve the accuracy of our avg time on page metrics? 2. Are we able to keep the unadjusted bounce rate in GA as well, so we can compare the two metrics if we ever need to? Does anyone know the answers to these questions? Any help would be much appreciated!

My automated build system is creating a duplicate website
Because of the tools my company is using for CI/CD (A CI/CD pipeline helps you automate steps in your software delivery process, such as initiating code builds, running automated tests, and deploying to a staging or production environment.) an extra URL is generated. The canonical for the generated site is that of our main website, but other than that it is the same website. Could this new URL compete with our website? Will Google count it against us since it is the same content BUT with canonical (it is not noindex-ed)? Does it matter? Surely others are using this method? Answers/thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Seeing very few pages analysed re: Mobile usability, in Google Seach Console - why?
Hi Mozzers, Under Mobile Usability, in Google Search Console, I am seeing very few website pages getting analysed - 10 out of 40 static pages, on the website in question. Is this to be expected or does this indicated an indexing problem on mobile?

No-indexed pages are still showing up as landing pages in Google Analytics
Hello, My website is a local job board. I de-indexed all of the job listing pages on my site (anything that starts with http://www.localwisejobs.com/job/). When I search site:localwisejobs.com/job/, nothing shows up. So I think that means the pages are not being indexed. When I look in Google Analytics at Acquisition > Search Engine Optimization > Landing Pages, none of the job listing pages show up. But when I look at Acquisition > Channels > Organic and then click Landing Page as the primary dimension, the /job pages show up in there. Why am I seeing this discrepency in Organic Landing pages? And why would the /job pages be showing up as landing pages even though they aren't indexed?

SEO Working GREAT! Although Keyword Rankings Only Directing to Home Page.
Since I've become a fellow MOZer I've seen an increase on my sites and proud to say that ALL of my clients have now accomplished 1st page rankings on at least 2 of their top 3 keywords. Yes, I am as stoked as them. Although I am a bit worried because as I rank keywords and test them on Google and engines alike all of our rankings direct to the homepage. I am essentially new to SEO. So as happy as I am to be doing something right I'm worried I'm losing the end user. By having them need to Search our site/menus/blog for the keywords/phrase that got them to us will turn most searchers away. They want the content now. What am I doing wrong? My pages are pretty specific so I never cared to use rel-canonical's...I dont have duplicate content, other than your typical footer/side bar consistent info. So I'm curious where I've gone wrong. Little history on my sites: I Use Joomla 2.5 & 3.x. I manage seo details through sh404seo. I've cleaned all duplicates I can up other than what these dynamic cms generate by just using one. I've done fairly well and all my pages rank A for moz's onpage grader for the keyword optimized around. Any help is appreciate, THANK YOU!

How is it possible that this site has a higher page authority than my site?
Judging by open site explorer, I'm crushing my competitor in every imaginable way. And yet, somehow they have a higher page authority than me and, consequently, are ranking higher than me. How is this possible? My site is on the left: 40atcpP.png

Should I delete a page that gets search traffic, that I don't care about?
I have a page on my site that consistently gets traffic, every month. Googlers seems to love it. But I don't like it at all. Webmaster tools shows that google allows us a certain number of search impressions each day. - it flatlines, they are limiting the impressions we get. We also getthe same number of clickthroughs each day. So my question is for anyone who has this same experience, who may have experimented by deleting a page you don't care about. Did you just lose that number of clicks each day or did other pages on your site get displayed and clicked through instead?
