Recommend a Freelancer or Company
-
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a freelance SEO consultant or company in the UK, who have proven results and don't cost a fortune?
We deal with very small businesses, who want to get some traction on the search engines, but can't afford much per month.
Or are the days of $250 a month contracts gone, because of the work involved now?
Any help appreciated.

No problem Barney good luck!

Thanks iPositions - we are in discussion with a few people at the moment and ideally looking for someone closer to home - so I will get back to you if we need any more help.

Hey Barney I'd be happy to have a chat with you if you have the time, We deal with loads of UK clients at that price range. If you message me your number I'll give you a call (and show you some proof :))

Hey Barney
There is just no one size fits all answer. If you want to email over a couple of your clients details, keywords they are targeting etc then I can take a look.
There are just so many variables but in most cases, for small, local businesses, just doing the basics and going after regional keywords and the like usually does the job.
Happy to take a look at anything you have and give you some specific feedback for individual jobs.

Hey Marcus,
Thanks for your response.
The clients we are dealing with will generally post a few news articles and are maybe doing a bit social, but they don't want to have too much involvement.
They generally just want to get some results for some fairly non-competitive keywords.
My problem is I don't really have the time to dedicate to the monthly work, so we are looking for a company we can out-source to.
One example is www.stratfordenergy.co.uk.
But essentially - yes - they basically want to spend a few hundred a month and see some results on Google. So maybe the bugger question is - is this just not a realistic option with all the recent changes to Google and SEO world?

Hey Barney
It really depends on what you are looking for here? Do you have existing sites that are adding content and just need a half day of consultancy a month to make sure they have their on page and technical SEO ducks in a row - OR - are you hoping that these clients can do nothing to their sites and just throw £150 a month at someone and that will improve their rank (by whatever means).
For a lot of small or local business, just getting everything set up right with local search in mind can be enough but as ever, it's a horses for courses approach and there is no one size fits all, SEO product that can be applied.
Any examples of the type of customers you have?

Best company to do an analysis of our website
Is there anyone out there you would recommend to do a full analysis of your site? We are looking to see if we can find someone to look at our site. We have already done stuff like SeoMoz, Ahref, and Majestic.

Is it currently possible to have a company logo appear with a Google search result?
Hello, We're experimenting with rich snippets. It seems fairly easy to attain authorship through Google and have a headshot appear in a search result... However, we are wondering if it is possible to have a company logo appear (perhaps through rel="publisher"?). Surprisingly, I can't find much info on this. Thanks!

What is the SEO term for Tree Search Engine results when we lookup for a company?
Hi Folks, I have a newbie question: When I do a Google search for: SEOmoz i get a SERP for SEOmoz in a form of a Tree, on the other hand if I search another company, let's say PAF.ca I get individual page results on google. Question is: What is the difference between the two, and how do we usually ask Google to display results of a Company name in the form of a tree or Main Category with Subpages in the SERP when looking for that company name. For my Visual Friends, Please find attached a Print screens that could explain my question a bit more. eAQpw.jpg

I'm looking for a UK seo company, any recommendations?
I don't want to go into a massive amount of detail here. I need 100% whitehat link building services. Nothing shady! Anyone have some recommendations? Budget is about £500 a month.

What are some good organizations an SEO company can join that are strong trust signals?
We are working on a website redesign, and want to prominently include some trust signals that help people feel comfortable with us. We're including logos of a few places we've guest posted, and also the BBB and local chamber of commerce. Do you have any other ideas on logos we can include that are good trust signals? Any associations or organizations we could join? We are a trustworthy company, we just want a way to communicate that visually, and it seems organization seals and logos are the way to go. Thanks!

Setting up a Company Blog - Subdomain or new URL?
I've just got hold of a client without a blog (a blog is very marketable for their industry especially!). But run into the dilemma - Is it better to set up a new domain ("clientblog.com") with separate hosting or create a subdomain ("blog.clienturl.com")? Has anyone ever done a study on this and which is most beneficial? Most importantly has anyone had success with either? Thanks!
