Local Offices Optimization

One of my client has offices in 11 different cities and we have a page on the website for each office.
I have optimized each page as well as I could for each city. Every on-page aspect I nailed and I even added a unique 100-150 words text and 3 pictures of the offices to each page to make sure Google wouldn't penalize me for having nearly identical pages.

However, even after doing all that, I can't seem to get as many #1 rankings as I think I should. I get outranked by websites not optimizing their page properly...
Is it because of inbound links metrics?
How do you build links to each office page without spamming?
Any advice?

Since it's a pretty competitive market I think I will have to build links directly to the office pages.
The problem is that directories often don't allow deep linking. I will have to work hard to find the ones that will allow it.

I was in a similar situation where I created unique pages for multiple cities in our service area. The pages are linked from my home page in the footer. At first, the city pages did not do well in google. I recently have started to obtain high-quality links to my homepage and have seen the city pages increase in ranking.
While it still is good to build links to each "office" page, building links to your homepage will give enough juice to your other pages for them to rank well.
More competitive areas may need to have links built directly to the office page. You can try doing this with local directories - for each directory listing use the office page as the URL for that listing.

I Googled "Bankruptcy Trustee in Lachine" and "Bankruptcy in Lachine"
My location is in Miami, Fl - USA. On the 1st term you were 2nd after the yellow pages. On the 2nd term you were 4th after yellowpages and findlaw (then local).

How to optimize an ecommerce catalog that uses parameters only
Hello ! I am facing a problem concerning a client's website that has been developped using filters that create parameters - there are no categories. This means that, no matter what I choose as a filter, the page title, desc and my H1 stays the same. In a beautiful, unicorn rainbow filled world - I could just tell them to restructure their site with new categories/sub categories AND with filters. For SEO purposes and to find a temporary solution until we can change the architecture, what would be the best choice? Should we create individual pages that serves the same content as the catalog, but with rewritten URL, Title, Description and canonical?

How can I rank a national site for local terms
Hi All I have a website that covers all parts of the UK and I wish to be found for terms such as "car for sale London" "car for sale Manchester" and so on. In the past I have created separate landing pages for each town and city but with the quality score of a page becoming more of a ranking factor it is hard to make 300 + town pages interesting and useful. Is it best practice to do what I am doing and improve the quality of each of the pages or would I be better off removing the old pages and using some other technique to rank for the local searches? Google+ Verification - Site Speed Optimization
So the Google+ Badge verifies our site for Google direct connect. However, the javascript code for the badge itself causes the page to load 3 to 4 seconds longer, which is a big deal. Any ideas for a work around?

Domain w/ Identical Content to Site we are Optimizing
Hi Guys, We've been optimizing a client's site for about a year or so now and on a call the other day the client brought up that he owns and operates another site that's marketing the same product, but to a difference audience (we work on the direct to consumer side, this is a distributior focused site),with the same exact content as the site we are optimizing. Obviously this is a major duplcant content issue and we need to get it resolved very quickjly. We have already reccomendt to the client that we re-write content, but this is where my questions comes in - Which site should we rewrite the content on? The site we are optimizing is the more impoorant of the two, while we still want the other site to hold rankings we dont want to end up accidently optimizing the other site wherein the site we are working on full time suffers a lost when a "compeiting" site creates compeltely new content and may, accidentally, end up ranking higher than the site we are focusing on full time. As links also play a role, would that be a KPI to look at here in determining which site gets new content and which does not? In this scenairo, would would you guys recommend?
