HTML E-mail Preventing Link Request?

Hi there,
The last couple of months we have had quite a few link request e-mails apparently not being received.
Our e-mails are sent out through Mozilla Thunderbird, so not an e-mail platform. However we use a HTML template to ensure our business logo and footers are consistent and to help raise awareness of the brand.
Is there any chance that some e-mails may well be blocked (e.g. by filters) because we're using HTML e-mails rather than a standard e-mail format and does anyone have any advice for ensuring e-mails get through (other than getting the right contact name if possible).

Thanks, I will check it out. I only understand basic German so I will see if the site translates into English. But we need to be aware of a few options.

Hi Martin, yes u are right its no sew easy
Since about 6 month we are using a Link managing Tool that also provides a Mail-Ticket System inside - since that time we don't have this problem any more.
The Software is Calley http://www.linkbird.de/ (I think its also available in english)

We are just using a .png - how do you avoid keyword blocking though? It's not like you can instantaneously avoid the word 'link' or providing a URL somewhere in the e-mail. How do you get round it?

yes i think so - sometimes we have the same problem.It can also be a .gif image ore some words in your post causing that.

Spammy links
Hi I was reviewing a clients link profile and found a lot of the links they have pointed at their domain have the anchor text "Buy Viagra" or "buy viagra online" and similar. Now the website has absolutely nothing to do with this kind of business so no doubt these links are spammy. To my knowledge the website has not been penalised by Google so far. Is it best to disavow or just leave alone? Kind Regards

Any benefits to having Wikipedia links now they are 'no-followed' (apart from traffic and natural link prof.)
I see that Wikipedia outbound links are all no-followed, is there any benefit (aside from the traffic) for having links here now ? For example is their co-citation and co-occurance benefits. I know there is without the links since from seeing previous Moz content about this saying Google getting good at connecting brand/s and topic mentions on a page (without any links) so appreciate Wikipedia is still good for that sort of thing. And a no-followed link is obviously good for the potential traffic. But is there any additional SEO benefit to having a no followed link on a wikipedia entry/stub too ? (aside from its contribution to your no-followed links which in turn contribute to a natural looking link profile) Cheers Dan

Too many on page links
Hi i'm new to MOZ, after sacking my SEO consultant due to the penguin update. My site position isn't fantastic right now for my national and local search terms 😞 The first problem i have is tackling too many on page links. I understand it should be 100 or less, unless users would benefit more. Looking at my links i have up to 200 on page links (which i know are not beneficial or user friendly). If i give you an example this page has 208 links: http://www.drivejohnsons.co.uk/blog/page/3 Heres another one with 157 links: http://www.drivejohnsons.co.uk/author/admin/page/2 Here's one that isn't associated with my blog that has 188 links: http://www.drivejohnsons.co.uk/testimonials On average most pages excluding the blog have around 120 links per page and i know thats to do with my Nav Bar - which i will sort out. My question is: Because the majority of these high link pages are associated with my blog, will that affect my site SEO performance? If yes, does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can reduce the total links on each page within my blog? The more i blog, this number is only going to increase 😞 Im using wordpress. Disavow links
I am working on an account that has had several seo companies

over the past year so around every corner I discover something new. One the
things I have found are that majority of links to the site is coming from an
outside blog but digging deeper I found that the blog is actually on the same
server as clients. Should I disavow links from that blog or should I leave it

What link would be better?
Okay, I found a niche blog that has a google PR6. They have a ton of dollow blogroll links, as well as a ton of internal links on homepage. Would I be better off getting the blogroll link? Getting a link in an existing post with a lower PR? Getting an advertiorial written with a link in it? I just don't know. It has a domain authority of 33 currently. It's not a cheap link for blogroll. The in-post, or advertorial isn't too bad, but not cheap either. Thanks in advance.

Link Farming
Are link farms still bad? I still am not sure about this question. I know that some people still do link farms. If they are bad, wouldn't a directory be considered a link farm? For instance I can get my site on a .EDU, but it will just be a list of links. Is that bad?
