Drop in Number of Crawled pages by SEOMOZ?
-
I noticed that the number of Crawled Pages on my website has been 2 pages only over past week. Before that the number of crawled pages was over 1000. My site has numerous pages as it is a Travel website that pulls search results for Flights, Cars, Hotels, Cruises and Vacation packages so there is a huge Database there. Can someone help? Thanks !

Hi Sherohass,
I would contact support at [email protected], it looks like it's an error on their end.
Good luck.

How to find page with the link that returns a 404 error indicated in my crawl diagnostics?
Hi Newbie here - I am trying to understand what to do, step by step, after getting my initial reports back from seomoz. The first is regarding the 404 errors shown as high priority to fix, in crawl diagnostics. I reviewed the support info help on the crawl diagnostics page referring to 404 errors, but still did not understand exactly what I am supposed to do...same with the Q&A section when I searched how to fix 404 errors. I just could not understand exactly what anyone was talking about in relation to my 404 issues. It seems I would want to find the page that had the bad link that sent a visitor to a page not found, and then correct the problem by removing the link, or correcting and re-uploading the page being linked to. I saw some suggestions that seemed to indicate that seomoz itself will not let me find the page where the bad link is and that I would need to use some external program to do this. I would think that if seomoz found the bad page, it would also tell me what page the link(s) to the bad page exists on. A number of suggestions were to use a 301 redirect somehow as the solution, but was not clear when to do this versus, just removing the bad link, or repairing the page the link was pointing to. I think therefore my question is how do I find the links that lead to 404 page not founds, and fix the problem. Thanks Galen

Local Rankings Drop?
G'morning! I got a disturbing report this morning that showed seven of our big keywords drop from high on the first page to not in the top 50. After further research I have found that we are now in Google's local cluster, but no longer on the traditional organic results. My question is this, has Google changed something that doesn't allow results in the local cluster AND in the traditional organic listings? I'm assuming that this is the case because we're doing smart SEO and have built these rankings up nicely over time, but then just fell off the face of the earth. I have attached a snapshot of Moz's Ranking History for a few of the keywords, as I assume this will help explain the story. (We're in green). Any insight would be much appreciated. How does SEOMoz crawl sites? Does it follow the sitemap?
I only ask because in my report it returned a few "no follow" links. Was wondering how SEOMoz operates.

Too Many On-Page Links
The SeoMoz site crawler says all my pages have too many links. I am using Dreamweaver with a horizontal Spry drop-down menu bar. My site has several hundred pages and about 100 of them show up in this Spry menu bar. I believe that this would be considered a false positive for too many links - am I right? Or is Google seeing this also as too many links per page? I am trying to get my Google rankings back after being hurt badly by the Penguin. I am using php but don't see another way to do the site links without going to a CMS type site. Thanks for any help you can give.

Current crawl frequency is weekly, is it possible for me to set this frequency our-self?

How can I reduce the number of links on a page and keep the site easy to navigate?
The SEOmoz Site Crawl indicates that we have too many on page links on over 9,970 pages. This is an ecommerce site with a large number of categories. I have a couple of questions regarding this issue: How important is the "too many on page links" factor to SEO? What are some methods of reducing the number of links when there are a large number of categories? We have main categories with dropdown menus currently and have found that they are used to browse and shop the store.
