Way too many 301 redirects
-
Hi Guys
Posting here again in regard to 301 redirects, SEOMOZ has just finished my second crawl, and its showing me nearly 4k 301 redirects, i am only tracking my new site which by the way changed domain name , however all im doing is tracking the new domain and there are no 301 implemented on that side (Except Canonical), so was wondering how SEOMoz is finding 4k of redirects.
do you think it could be chaining somewhere ? as all the tests look good or could there be a problem with the reporting

HI Doug
Posted twice on this subject and the other 2 are here http://www.seomoz.org/q/301-redirect-how-long-until-the-juice-passes-through-to-new-site
I have checked server logs and response headers and everything looks absolutely correct, not used screaming frog but have used Xeno
I have been complaining for now 10 weeks that i have no traffic since i did the 301, and as i said im only reporting on the new site now which n theory should be 301 clean, except the canonical element part
I am now convinced there is a issue as otherwise the crawl from SEOmoz would not pick up those redirects,

It's hard to say without knowing the detail. Which site/pages?
You say that you've moved the site to a new domain name - is it possible that you've got some links in there somewhere that are still pointing to the old domain and being redirected back?
Have you tried spidering your own site with something like Screaming Frog or taking a look at your server logs for the redirects or referrals from your old domain?
Guessing a bit here. Can you give any more details?

Viral Marketing SEO Question: If you build a truly great piece of content, what are the best ways to seed it?
There are a few techniques you can use to spread out and get your content out there.
Moz Pro | | shoobi
1. Email bloggers and tell them about your content
2. Share it on bookmarking sites (like Reddit)
3. Contact influential Twitter and Facebook profiles about it
4. Make it easy for visitors to share your infographic with an embed code at the bottom
5. Share it on infographic websites (like https://www.prizebondtime.com)
6. Share it with your email subscribers (if you have an email subscriber list)
7. Post it on your blog, Facebook page, Twitter, etc. Basically everywhere. The name of the game here is to get your content out in front of as many eyeballs you can as possible. Then after that, it's up to how good your content is to begin the viral loop.0 -

To Worry or Not? Duplicate Content Created from Redirect After Login
One of my Moz reports is flagging duplicate content. For example, https://redchairmarket.com/Account/LogOn?ReturnUrl=%2FAccount%2FSaveSearch%3FsearchId%3D0&searchId=0 and https://redchairmarket.com/Account/LogOn?ReturnUrl=%2FAccount%2FSaveSearch%3FsearchId%3D1&searchId=1 are created when a user logs in and the website sends them back to the page they were looking at before. What is the best way to deal with this duplicate issue? How serious is it? Thank you!

301 Redirect & Canonical Tags
If I have URL A and need to 301 Redirect to URL B but want to have a canonical tag on URL B pointing to URL A Would this be considered cloaking? My server which runs .net 3.5 does not allow me to do URL re-writes.

So now how I measure as to what I am doing is this really working out for me? Are the content which I am building is it working for the benefit of my website etc. What tools can I use to measure SEO specifically. What factors should I look at to measure when in cases where I am just begun my seo strategy. Could anyone highlight the correct tools and where inside these tools or which features inside those tools could give me good measures of the SEO Implementation. Thanks

Is There a Way to Create Branded Campaign Reports in seomoz.org Campaigns?
We have a few exciting clients we about to start working with and I'm looking for a full campaign management solution that allows for branded reporting. Because we are an agency, is there an option I'm missing that allows you to swap your logo with the seomoz.org logo?

Is there any way to change the domain in a campaign here?
When I started the campaign I used site.com but now I have an external blog at blog.site.com and is hosted on tumblr. This site gets lots of errors showing on the campaign because insists on following no-follows. If I change the campaign to www.site.com then blog.site.com will not be part of the campaign. It does say in the help that it will NOT track sub-domains, but it does and hence my problem. So, I am not sure if the rest of the info there is old. 'Does the Web App track the subdomains of my campaign’s domain?
Moz Pro | | oznappies
A. Unfortunately we do not currently track subdomains as a part of the
domain you enter. Instead, you must create another campaign slot for any
subdomains you wish to track.' Any ideas on where or how to do this?0
