Importing Open Site Explorer Into Raven Tools
-
I have just started to use SEOMOZ and Raven Tools at the same time. What is the easiest way to import Open Site Explorer link data (.csv extension) into Raven Tools so that I can manage my link building campaigns? If somebody knows an easy way to do that I will appreciate. Thanks in advance!

I wish someone had told me that before!!! Will save me bundles. Thanks Jon. Cant believe I missed that function.

There are a couple ways to go about this. The first is to do what Scott Griffiths said. Export the data and then edit it to fit our link import format. The second approach is to just use our Research Central tool, which pulls in the same backlink data from the Mozscape API. That tool will allow you to directly add links to the Link Manager, individually or in bulk. Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about. Hope that helps!

All we did was to create a spreadsheet template where we re-mapped the appropriate columns. We then load in the export data from OSE, transform it into the new template, and then exprt this as a CSV ready for import into Raven Link Manager.
Not elegant or automatic, but it works.

I'd love to know this too. Great idea

Paid Subscription Directory with Low Moz Open Site Explorer Spam Score
Looking at different backlinks of my competitors and came across a few directories that require a 1 time payment for the year. Is this considered the same as paying for a link or would this be considered something like getting a listing on your local Chamber of Commerce site? Also, I put the site through Moz's Open Site Explorer and it had PA:22 and DA:20, which is nothing incredible, but also had a spam score of 2. So would a site like this hurt my rankings? I know that's a good spam score, so I am a little confused with what to do. Here is the site: http://scl-online.net/en.htm Thanks for any help! Love this site.

Open Site Explorer Changed?
I am getting this at the bottom of Open Site Explorer. I have never seen this message before. "Why does my number of inbounds links listed not match my total links count? The listed number may be slightly different because we only show 25 links per domain (so that you see a variety). Additionally you have 18 links from no-indexed pages. Unfortunately, we can't get info for those links." Did SEOMoz change something? If I look at a site, SEOMOZ's OSE doesn't show me all the links it can find anymore? It only shows 25 max???

I have created 5 model specific blog sites which deliver links to my core site.
I post about 500 words of unique relevant content weekly to each model blog site. Each week, seo smartlinks delivers keyword anchor text links to my core site with a 3% keyword density. I have been doing this for 3 months and my core site traffic is stagnant or slightly down. Is this a good practice since its relevant content, or am I writing for nothing? Also, am I in danger of over optimized anchor text?

Strengthening my personal coaching site
Hello, My domain for my personal coaching site is my name bobweikel(dot)com and I think this is weak for all of my keywords, but I'm sticking with it. What's some of the easiest way I could gain strength with national keywords so that people will pursue phone coaching with me, terms like nlp coach wealth and success coach wealth coach personal coach life coach I know that these are varying greatly in competitiveness. Thanks!

Simple Open Site Explorer Question
Does domain and page authority as listed in the Open Site Explorer mean that that site is relevant (content subject wise) or is domain/page authority separate from relevance? In other words, I'm less interested in getting an 81 domain authority link if it has nothing to do with my site's subject matter. Could someone please explain? I haven't yet found the answer. Thanks.

SEOs and web developers frequently leave links to their site in the footer of their clients' sites. Does this negatively impact the site with the links?
Does this provide any SEO value to the receiving site? Has anyone experienced problems doing this?
