Looking for Advice on SEO for Minimilistic Site

Hi everyone,
I found this site and it looks like a great place for us to start, we have just opened the doors to our new website fenwaymedia thats a dot co dot uk. Now Ihave tried to maintain the most minimilistic design throughout but I believe with this comes certain drawbacks - - - - S E O which is why i am here. My thought were that I would draw my clients from the Web Design, web Marketing & Blog page which I will starting in 3 hours be constantly updating. but Im not sure Im doing the right thing.
I am trying to target Edinburgh, Scotland although we would take work from anywhere, if anyone could spare us a moment, I would greatly appreciate any help, tips or comments that might help us attain some visibility.

Did you change the domain so non-www redirects to www?

I completely agree with activitysuper and I would strongly recommend taking care of your URLs. Also, your canonical tag is set to the dynamic looking URL and I don't know if that would be best for you. I think for best results you are going to need to obviously start some link building (I would keep it clean - big Penguin is watching!) - many of your images have the same alt text (your business name) - you might consider setting up some internal linking throughout the site to help spread the authority you should begin to gain - just standard on and off page stuff as well as the technical optimization that AS pointed out.

First off every page has a dynamic url, you should really have rewritten SEO friendly urls.
But lets just say you stick with the dynamic urls, Google picks up all 6 sections on homepage, each page has the same content, now you got 6 pages of duplicate content.
Your domain doesn't redirect non www to www.
I also noticed you have the css style in the source rather then in a css file and connecting to it.
Home page link goes to /index.php when it should link to your root domain.
Bit of onsite work involved here - your design does look ok though.

What's the best way for SEO newbie to analyze & fix a site after being hit by Panda?
Hi, I have a prospective client who was in the top 3 on Google for two of their primary keywords. They fell way back in the rankings immediately after Panda was rolled out on September 27, 2012. Two weeks ago, they were at position #118 for one keyword. After looking for them in Rank Checker today, they cannot be found in Google at all. Here's my question. Because of the "bad links" (some pointing to Porno sites)... what's the possibility that this situation cannot be fixed? I don't know... maybe I'm asking an irrelevant question. I'm attempting to assess the situation so I can go back and present my findings to the prospective client. I'm committed to understanding what's going on with their website so I can assess the situation properly. Fixing their problem starts with a correct assessment. They have a ranking problem, and I know I can fix that... IF all their site needs is white hat <acronym title="Search Engine Optimization">SEO</acronym>. What I DON'T want is... to sell them <acronym title="Search Engine Optimization">SEO</acronym> services, only to find out in 3-6 months... I made an incorrect diagnosis of the problem, and therefore sold them the wrong solution. I know I can close the sale if I can show them with reasonable substantiation that the damage is not beyond repair. I'm familiar with the basics of <acronym title="Search Engine Optimization">SEO</acronym>, but I'm unfamiliar with how "bad linking" might effect the long-term commitment to optimizing. They're wondering if they should start over on another website. I was attempting to do an assessment to better understand if my typical approach on this site would be sufficient. Also... I wanted to get an assessment/report to show them something to substantiate my conclusion(s) about their website. If Open Site Explorer is sufficient to do the link analysis... great. At least I know I'm working with the right tool. All I have to do is learn how to use the tool quickly. At this point... I'm not sure which tool would be helpful. So... can you speak to the following 2 questions: 1.) How do you know when ranking problem is beyond fixing? 2.) Why do some sites have a higher Page Authority than Domain Authority in OSE??
Hi, I have noticed when using OSE and enter a domain you very often see a higher Page Authority than Domain Authority. If someone could explain why this would happen then I would be very grateful - its my current understanding that page authority would ALWAYS be LESS THAN Domain Authority but that is not always the case (I have seen cases where PA is more than 10 higher then DA) Here's an example where PA > DA http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links.html?site=www.primelocation.com Thanks

Or perhaps my question is actually how often does the seomoz bot crawl the web? I ran some benchmark link counts for a number of websites about this time last month and I noticed when I went to update them for this month the data is the same. Thanks.

Can you release some sample documents for the budding SEO practitionar?
Hey guys, Would it be possible for you to release some sample documents, e.g. an 'initial proposal' example that can help us newbies when aiming to obtain prospective clients. I must admit I am much much more technical minded than articulate when it comes to these matters so a sample report would benefit me dearly that I could use as a starting point. My SEO services so far have been well.. totally free so far whilst I learn more about the techniques involved and determine whether it really is work I'd like to carry out in addition to my day to day development/design tasks. Now I am faced with a potential new client and after spending a fair number of hours Googling, I'm still not 100% sure how to structure the document and whether an initial audit should be carried out first to give me some statistics for the report.. Or whether the report should simply outline what I can offer. The samples I've found online, most of which are quite old, mostly tend to come from established SEO companies and have a corporate feel about them which doesn't reflect on myself as a single consultant. So if you could help out that would be fantastic and I'm sure would be a popular resource for others just starting out in the field. Thank you Dave
