Is my schema implemented correctly and not spammy?
-
i already used the validation tool from Google. It tell's me it's implemented, but i would like to know specifically if everything is implemented correctly and in a non spam way.
Here is a product link to test: http://www.suddora.com/pink-sweatbands-wholesale-pink-wristbands.html

People ask similar questions regularly. I just saw you had no answer and wanted to be sure someone had given it a shot for you.
I would suggest go to Schema.org and to GWT and read the info there. By using the tool you confirmed that it was correct. What you don't want to do is corrupt what the intention is by adding in your url, etc. Keep the item property what it is and keep it simple. Remember its semantic web for a reason.
Hope it helps, -
I posted this 2 days ago and I understand this is (kind of) new idea so i don't expect everyone to jump on it, I admit it's hilarious that i put bump! haha.
I just want to make sure our dev did it correctly, as he is not SEO saavy. I'm pretty sure he did but just using the community to verify...
-
Bump doesn't work here, as there's no user-facing way to see most recent responses. Also, four hours isn't a long time at all to go without a response on the Q&A forums.
-
Thanks for finding that broken link! We donate and work directly with Susan G Komen We do this mostly on our other website Custom On It, for custom promotional items.
Anything you can find would be great for Schema. We have it implemented but just not sure if it is correct.
-
Not sure what bump is? I am older so...you know how we are not quite as UTD.
Edit: Had to know so went and checked it out. You can tell I do not spend a lot of times on general or other forums. My guess it the tactic won't work on this one (These guys are fairly sharp at moz.) But, best of luck.
Of course I am assuming you mean to 'bump' this to top of Q&A for some reason. Frankly, if you use the tools on moz you will see that the links are no followed from here. If this was not what you meant/intended, my apologies, LMK.

Paul,
I have one question I have kicked to our head of Dev and will answer the Schema question with his answer to me. On the whole it looks ok. However, here is your content:
Pink sweatbands are great for sporting events. These wholesale pink wristbands work to prevent sweat from affecting your game. They also have a very stylish look to them and are comfortable to wear. Some organization use pink sweatbands to support breast cancer awareness during sports games or events. You really can't go wrong with these pink sweat wristbands.
When I look at this it appears not "Spammy," but misleading. First your link re breast cancer awareness is a 404. I have no idea given that this is the month for breast cancer awareness how long it has been as such. But it looks as if you might in some way be doing something to support breast cancer awareness. Are you? Or, are you simply selling pink wristbands with and without the ribbon?
My suggestion is this: If you are not in any way contributing to the American Cancer Society or another organization tied to providing solace, research, or information to women and their families regarding breast cancer, you should so state that you are not. If you are, you should state plainly who the contributions go to and what amount per sale goes to them.
As a Registered Nurse who has seen too much, I will tell you this, if you agree to donate all proceeds above the actual cost of the bracelets or shipping to the American Cancer Society, my agency, upon receipt of a copy of your cancelled check (or other instrument) will match your donation (it must be at least $100) up to $500. Along with that, I will personally look over your site and will give you a written set of tips to improve your site and will provide up to one hour of phone consultation to you as well.
Best,
Robert

Could I set a Cruise as an Event in Schema mark up?
Hi there, We are now in the process of implementing a JSON-LD mark-up solution and are building cruises as an event. Will this work and can we get away with this without penalty? Previously they have been marking their cruises as events using the data highlighter and this has displayed correctly in the SERP. The ideal schema would be Trip but this is not supported by Google Rich Results yet, hopefully they will support this in the future. Another alternative would be product but this does not display rich-results as we would like. Event has the best result in terms of how the information is displayed. For example someone might search "Cruises to Spain" and the landing page would display the next 3 cruises that go to Spain, with dates & prices. The event location would be the cruise terminal, the offer would be the starting price and the start & end date would be the cruise duration, these are fixed dates. I am interested to hear the communities opinion and experience with this problem.

Least expensive, correctly done way to hire product descriptions done.
Hello, WHAT WE NEED NOW: We need 300 product descriptions done. We have reached the point where we're hiring this done. How would you recommend we go about this. 200 products will be rewriting the supplier's product descriptions (one sentence each) and filling out a quicktable. There's just nothing to do there, no information anywhere. About 100 products will be where the person writing the description and filling out the table will have to google the product's manufacturer and rewrite the information off of that website in an intelligible, interesting, paragraph that is informative. Would you recommend we hire someone local to come work in our office that specializes in our niche, or are there any GOOD services out there for our case, even if it's just for the first 200. OUR FUTURE PLANS: We'll guess at the top few products and do some 10X work ourselves. No hiring needed there. Once we know the top 50 products we will do some more deep hiring for 10X product descriptions, but that can wait. Thanks.

Thought FRED penalty - Now see new spammy image backlinks what to do?
Hi, So starting about March 9 I started seeing huge losses in ranking for a client. These rankings continue to drop every week since and we changed nothing on the site. At first I thought it must be the FRED update, so we have started rewriting and adding product descriptions to our pages (which is a good thing regardless). I also checked our backlink profile using OSE on MOZ and still saw the few linking root domains we had. Another Odd thing on this is that webmasters tools showed many more domains. So today I bought a subscriptions to ahrefs and instantly saw that on the same timeline (starting March 1 2017) until now, we have literally doubled in inbound links from very spammy type sites. BUT the incoming links are not to content, people seem to be ripping off our images. So my question is, do spammy inbound image links count against us the same as if someone linked actual written content or non image urls? Is FRED something I should still be looking into? Should i disavow a list of inbound image links? Thanks in advance!

Site deindexed after HTTPS migration + possible penalty due to spammy links
Hi all, we've recently migrated a site from http to https and saw the majority of pages drop out of the index. https://www.relate.org.uk/ One of the most extreme deindexation problems I've ever seen, but there doesn't appear to be anything obvious on-page which is causing the issue. (Unless I've missed something - please tell me if I have!) I had initially discounted any off-page issues due to the lack of a manual action in SC, however after looking into their link profile I spotted 100 spammy porn .xyz sites all linking (see example image). Didn't appear to be any historic disavow files uploaded in the non https SC accounts. Any on-page suggestions, or just play the waiting game with the new disavow file? Hku8I

Schema markup in SERP in s ome languages but not in English. Any suggestions?
I have schema markup on a category page and on a product page on a website in 10 languages. Product page markup is showing in google SERP in all languages (both star rating, number of votes). Category page markup is showing very inconsistently. For English google SERP do not pick it up at all. For Spanish and German they are showing completely in SERP (votes, minimum price), for other languages, just part of makrup (minimum price) is shown in google SERP. In rich snippet tool they show up correctly in all languages. Any suggestion what can be done to get schema of category page picked up more consistently? Any experience of other markup formats than schema being picked up better? Thanks

Spammy? Long URLs
Hi All: Is it true that URLs such as this following one are viewed as "spammy" (besides being too long) and that such URLs will negatively affect ranks for keywords and page ranks: http://www.repairsuniverse.com/ipod-parts-ipod-touch-replacement-repair-parts-ipod-touch-1st-gen-replacement-repair-parts.html My thinking is that the page will perform better once it is 301 redirected to a shorter page name, such as: http://www.repairsuniverse.com/ipod-touch-1G-replacement-parts.html It also appears that these long URLs are also more likely to break, creating unnecessary 404s. <colgroup><col width="301"></colgroup> Thanks for your insight on this issue!
