Duplicate content pages
-
Crawl Diagnostics Summary shows around 15,000 duplicate content errors for one of my projects, It shows the list of pages with how many duplicate pages are there for each page. But i dont have a way of seeing what are the duplicate page URLs for a specific page without clicking on each page link and checking them manually which is gonna take forever to sort.
When i export the list as CSV, duplicate_page_content column doest show any data.
Can anyone please advice on this please.
Thanks

Hey there!
Thanks for writing in.
I downloaded the CSV from your Travel Pack campaign. It looks like all of the duplicate content pages are in the CSV that I exported. I found them by sorting the the rows in Excel. Here is a good guide on how to get started sorting in Excel: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/sort-data-in-a-range-or-table-HP010073947.aspx
Thanks!

Sorry if my English was not clear, it's not my first language. My issue is I can't get the list of duplicate URLs of my site...

If they are attached to specific strings ( String: After the URL it looks like this: /?alwer.ei.we ) you can block the string(s) in your robot.txt file.
Lets say there are 100 duplicates that start with"/?osifos.sdjvnksdj" block out the "?osifos" in your robot txt.

Duplicate pages coming from links from the login page - what should we do about them?
This is a follow on to an earlier question which was well answered by Dirk Ceuppens regarding abnormal crawl issues. We are seeing that the issues relating to Duplicate Pages are coming from links from the login page which shows information about where the user was redirected from. For example, if the visitor is not logged on and wishes to wish-list an item, they will be redirected to the login page, with the item code and intended action in the url; which can then continue on to the desired page once logged on. The MOZ crawler is seeing these pages as having Duplicated Content whilst they are all the same apart from a piece of information in the URL. Should we be blocking these duplications? Are they a risk to us? What should we be doing? Many thanks, Sarah

How do you create tracking URLs in Wordpress without creating duplicate pages?
I use Wordpress as my CMS, but I want to track click activity to my RFQ page from different products and services on my site. The easiest way to do this is through adding a string to the end of a URL (ala http://www.netrepid.com/request-for-quote/?=colocation) The downside to this, of course, is that when Moz does its crawl diagnostic every week, I get notified that I have multiple pages with the same page title and the dup content. I'm not a programming expert, but I'm pretty handy with Wordpress and know a thing or two about 'href-fing' (yeah, that's a thing). Can someone who tracks click activity in WP with URL variables please enlighten me on how to do this without creating dup pages? Appreciate your expertise. Thanks!

Duplicate content analysis
Good morning everyone, I have just run a test from SEOmoz PRO tool and I got more than 2,000 double content errors. How might I see which are the 2 pages whose content is double? My website is just newly revamped and can't find these similarities on my own: for me there are not). Thanks for your help! Francesca

Open Site Explorer is showing "No Data" for my page titles under the "Top Pages" Tab
This is for my site: www.kibin.com/ Does this mean there is something wrong with how we're titling our pages? We're working on our on-page SEO, titles, meta descriptions this week and getting them up to snuff. I don't understand what is going on here or if it's something to be worried about. Thanks!

Finding the source of duplicate content URL's
We have a website that displays a number of products. The product has variations (sizes) and unfortunately every size has its own URL (for now anyway). Needless to say, this causes duplicate content issues. (And of course, we are looking to change the URL's for our site as soon as possible) However, even though these duplicate URL's exist, you should not be able to land on them by navigating through the site. In theory, the site should always display the link to the smallest size. It seems that there is a flaw in our system somewhere, as these links are now found in our campaign here on SEOmoz. My question: is there any way to find the crawl path that lead to the URL's that shouldn't have been found, so we can locate the problem?

One page per campaign?
Not quite sure if I read correctly, but is it correct that one campaign tracks only one page of my site? So if I wanted to track something like a services page, this would require a second campaign?
