Some of key product pages have dropped due to what I think is overused anchor text. Can we rename them, and start again?

thanks. We have reduce the links but google is still showing in Web Master - does it take a long time for google to drop the links?

Yes definitely, Google's over optimization penalty seems to be impacting a lot of sites. Your best bet would be to reduce the over optimization on the pages , hopefully when Google indexes the new changes, you will regain your rankings.

Hello, we have been link-building to the home page for some time now. We believe that we have better on-page SEO than some of our direct competitors. We want to rank for “SEO Agency Cardiff,” but despite building backlinks, building Nap, and writing content marketing, it will not get onto the first page of Google. Despite hundreds of hours spent on it, and all SEO reports saying we are better than some of the companies on there, are there suggestions as to what our agency could be missing? Redirects affect on page and domain authority

Hi - excuse me if this is stupid question but I'm rather new to this. Currently the PA for the home page is 16 and the DA 28 and I have some concerns that my efforts are being diluted. When I use OSE on www.sassandgrace.co.uk I get different link results to sassandgrace.co.uk but there is a redirect in place to sassandgrace.co.uk and cannot run a crawl report, for example, on www.sassandgrace.co.uk. The PA and DA are identical for each but the number of links different With a smallish number of links pointing to each but with a redirect in place, am I losing some of the effect or is having the redirect in place giving me all the credit for links to both addresses? 'Too many links' on our pages.

This figure includes links that sit within our navigational menus. Is there a way to block this somehow so that Google and Moz do not read them as 'internal links'? Thanks in advance.

Can a homepage have a penalty but not the rest of the pages?

I've got an unusual issue. I set up a new website with new content and moved old (blog) content to the new site. On the old site, most of the blog content wasn't ranking after the Oct update. On the new site it all started ranking again after I redirected old URLs to new URLs. However while all the blog content ranks, the homepage doesn't rank for the new brand term. There are multiple articles in press that refer to the new website using the branded terms as anchor text, but it's still not ranking. Is it possible that the redirected homepage (and only the hompage) from the old site is carrying a penalty? If so, should I not redirect the homepage of the old site but all of it's sub pages?

Rankings Drop Across Search Engines

Hello! I know this may sound a bit weird, but has anyone experienced any search engine rankings drop after Penguin on Bing and Yahoo as well? I am trying to locate the issue with one website I am doing optimization on and it has ranked lower on some keywords on all three search engines, directing me to suspect there's an issue with the site itself. If the whole website is about "step by step recipes" When you search for "step by step recipes" on Google, you'll see most of them are separate pages Should i create its own category call it "step by step recipes" and list all of my posts? but isn't it duplicated content ? ill be really appreciated with your help ! How to Earn Links to Boring Pages on Your Site

We do great in earning links to our homepage, articles, linkbait, and resource pages but we get few links to our product pages which are honestly pretty boring.
