Denounce competition
-
Hello,
Well I have a problem with a competitor. What happens is that when i search for the keyword "Cadeira de rodas" in www.google.pt a site of a competitor appears in the first place and I'm in second.
Well thats life, right?
My problem with that competitor (http://www.cadeirasderodas.net/) is using a page exclusively to the keyword. The title, domain and the only keyword is all "Cadeira de rodas" and then there is a redirection to another site after you enter.
Since Google consider this as a fraude, where can I denounce this situation?
Tks in advance!

What are safe promotion techniques for articles targeting low competition keywords on a high authority site?
Hi SEO Community, The title says it all; we are running a content strategy that is targeting relevant low volume, low competition keywords published on a high authority domain. How would you design your promotion / reachout / linkbuilding / strategy in this context? Would you assume internal linking would do the job or are there easy wins to earn rankings in this low competition environment? /T

Competition site with Duplicate Name
I have a client who is in real estate and one of his competition used the same Name and Domain and added the word Toronto in front. The competition is putting similar content on the website. The competition also hijacked the Google listing since they both work in the same building. Is this going to affect the ranking our website? What negative effect will it put on our website?

Seo Technical Audit - Trustworthy, competent and competitive firms
Hello, We are a fairly largish site designed for user generated content (forum). We have been around for over a decade and are looking to get a proper seo audit done so that we can use the inputs from the audit to build upon our seo strategy. I went through the seo recommended pages and found that the options are priced high. Are there any competent and reasonably priced firms that are known to do a great job of the audit?

Client hell bent on grabbing a competitive .net domain
Hi all, Firstly, i'm a content guy! Thrown into SEO at the deep end, but absolutley loving it and the community. I need some advice, so i'm popping my cherry with this one: I have a client who is in the service industry, very competitive and in a City, so it's all local. He has branded site that has had little investment in SEO and a huge PPC spend over the years. After a lot of nagging they are getting the message that PPC is a massive money tap and as soon as it's turned off that's it - gone! They have had conversations and hit me up with this as their want. Example: They see www.londoncakebakers.com / .co.uk which is a site belonging to Smiths Cakes. They have spotted that www.londoncakebakers.net is free to purchase! You know what's coming right? They want to buy it, get me to design a site for it and deploy SEO on it in a big way! The key phrases are all in the domain name and all the obvious benefits. Am I over thinking this and should embrace it, or should I advise, no, no, no? Thanks in advance. Mark

Can I swap a website yet keep it's high ranking for a competitive keyword?
Couldn't fit the entire question in the main bit so the explanation is here: Working on a client's website which is hosted by volusion and also been doing SEO for them for about a year. Now we've finally got them ranking at the lower end of page 1 (around 10+) for their main keyword. They now want to move from volusion over to Amazon Web Store 😢 which seems to be an SEO nightmare from even my basic understanding of SEO. From looking at the coding and the way Amazon Web store is built on top of how restricted you are from doing anything with it, I am almost certain the shop will be extremely difficult to optimise and we will have to completely change nearly all of the content. Finally! the actual question; I was thinking I could get them to delay their move to Amazon webstore until they are ranking in the top 5 for this top keyword. Once they switch over, i assume they'll keep this ranking for at least a short while? This keyword attracts a high volume of traffic and if this traffic is clicking on the result for their website, and google sees that people are finding this website valuable (not clicking back onto google results). Will they be able hold onto this high ranking? Basically what I'm asking is, this will be a terrible outdated badly SEO'd shop, but if a high volume of people are clicking on it and staying on it from their lingering ranking will Google just let it stay at the top? A massive amount of gratitude in advance for anyone who tries to help with this! 😄

Can a domain rank for a competitive term with no links?
Hi, I know that this topic has received a lot of attention recently (Not all of it good) and I am not normally one to re-open a can of worms but the whole 'Camper Mens Shoes' fiasco has got me thinking. If you're not familiar with the story then you can get the highlights of it here - http://martinmacdonald.net/the-curios-case-of-camper-shoes/ My question is this - Say that you had a domain (Domain A) that was ranking well for a competitve keyword and that it had a good backlink profile. If you used rel="canonical" on every page of Domain A to point to a duplicate site on a different domain (Domain B) , would Domain B then rank well in place of Domain A? I know that this probably doesn't have much practical use but I am trying to get a better understanding of the effect of using rel="canonical" Would the result of doing the above mean that Domain B would rank well without having any links pointing directly to it?
