Fake product ideas

I am going to build a fake product and wanted to get some of your awesome ideas
This is for fun, laughs and mainly viral/back links. Ultimately my goal is to leave the user scratching their head saying to them self "Is this for real?". I want it almost believable
First: My site is based on everything scrabble so I want it related to that since my fans are going to get a kick out of it.
I need some great starting points of something fake I can create and post about.

Much in the same vein as Monopoly - you can have a special themed Scrabble board.
There's 1000s of Monopoly ones out there - I'm sure you could come up with tonnes of unique/(stupid) ideas!
-
ooooo I like that one
-
It could give the same answer no matter what the letter were, something like ID or one where it just replaces one of your letters with another you do not have so it is really not helpful - but if it is a fake product that might be hat you want
I assume this would be a free product
-
I would like to see you introduce a new letter to the traditional set, maybe a mathematical or scientific symbol
-
But does it take a picture like a fake app and remember what letters are on the board and how to manipulate them with your letters?
-
There is an app that does that already with Words with friends
-
How about a fake Apps that allows you to take a photo of the scrabble game in progress along with your letters bar, and then instantly finding the highest value word from what is on the board?
is this what you're thinking?
-
If you ask me, the most successful fake products are books that sell the secret to happiness, money and success. Though you have to be careful and make a really weird product, or else some people might buy it.

SEO for a Product Domain
Hello there, I wanted to thank you all in advance, you have been very helpful with your insights so far. One of our clients is starting a new domain for a specific product he has. The client is providing his products in canada/usa. (For exemple, let's stay "nike.com"(company) just launched "jordan.com"(line of product) and wanted to rank "jordan.com" higher. I was thinking about starting with citations for the new domain/product. The thing is, since its a product, it feels wierd to do citations as usual and start a GMB account. In your opinion, what is the best way to start SEO with a product specific domain? Is citation or GMB still a good idea?

I want to beat them for local long tail. Any ideas?

Article Backlinks To Product Pages
I am writing a number of 500 word articles and have read that Top 10 lists are becoming more and more popular on the web. So my thoughts are to write an article about the the 'Top 10 Mens Grooming Products 2013' for example. My questions is - do I post this article on my own website with the 10 links to the product pages using the product name as 'anchor text', or post the article to somewhere like Squidoo containing the links to my product pages. Which strategy has more SEO value?

Fake SEO Site
What do you think of this site? This is the top, number ranking site in Halifax, UK. No authority, no backlinks and high keyword density considering the low amount of content. http://www.maknetic.co.uk/ Search term is SEO Halifax. How is it number 1? There's nothing in it and no user value at all!

Adding NOFOLLOW to all external links, is this a good idea?
In the setting of a news site, with articles that often link to one or more outside sources, is it a good idea to rel="nofollow" all external links? Would this hurt link-building prospects? Of course, internal links would keep on passing link juice back and forth, but is there real harm in following external links? These would be links our writers and editors created themselves to reputable sources, blogs, etc.

Do you think it's a good idea to try to find synergy between clients for blog posts/citations/links, or should you keep clients away from each other?
Say you have for example three (in this case) clients, and: Client A sells red widgets Client B is a doctor Client C sellls blue widgets With some research, you find that: Red widgets (A) can make the process of blue widget creation (C) even more effective. Red widgets (A) can protect you from harmful things that doctors (B) are qualified to recommend that you stay away from. Furthermore, there are things that doctors (B) recommend that you do in order to maximize the benefits of red widgets (A) Blue widgets (C) carry with them certain potential health risks, which according to doctors (B) can be minimized using the following means Sometimes blue widgets (C) can be used to effectively repair red widget (A) factories ...and so forth. Sure you're really writing these articles to generate links and exchange authority, and frankly you started with "how can I find synergy between these clients?" rather than a with a great article subject that needed a citation which luckily happened to be another client, but the citations are legitimate and the clients are qualified to speak on the subjects where their expertise and interests overlap. Would you consider going ahead with this? Does anyone have any experience doing it? I could see potential pitfalls if clients were to interact with each other, but keeping yourself as the intermediary might well work and overall it seems like a decent way to grab low-hanging fruit as they say. What do you guys think?

Is it a bad idea to build unique sites to build credibility for your main site?
It is hard to sum up the question in one line, but basically my company has bought several descriptive domains that we would like to build out into microsites that link back to our main site. For example...say we are a florist. Our main site talks about all the different kinds of flowers we have and the work we do. So the idea is to buy weddingflowersdallas.com (example only...) and have a mini site that has the same look and feel as our main site, but has unique content that talks solely about our wedding flower business and has a few links back to our main site. 1. Is this a no no from a google perspective? 2. Is this a good strategy in general? Thanks, David
