Outreach - what to give away in return

We are creating a PDF that is useful for people in our industry.
In the email outreach, what should we give in return for these people using or linking to our PDF.
Looking for a list of possible ideas.

I like it! I would probably say either 1, 2 and 3 OR #4, otherwise it might be too much work for one link.
If someone pitched this to me, I would take it!

A tweet of their URL

$100 of adwords where I set it up and run it for them.
where they could get any or all of them back if they like.

Here's some ideas...
free advertising (no follow link) such as banner ads, etc.
if you have more than one website, offer them a link from a different website
a free guest blog post for their website with a link back to your pdf
a link from your twitter or facebook pages
if you have free Google Ads coupons you could offer one of those, or offer to do some ads for them on your account with a free Google Ads coupon
I'll post more ideas if I come up with them

Setting Up Hreflang and not getting return tag errors
I've set up a dummy domain (Not SEO'd I know) in order to get some input on if I'm doing this correctly. Here's my option on the set up and https://technicalseo.com/seo-tools/hreflang/ is saying it's all good. I'm self-referencing, there's a canonical, and there is return tags. https://topskiphire.com - US & International English Speaking Version https://topskiphire.com/au/ - English language in Australia The Australian version is on a subdirectory. We want it this way so we get full value of our domain and so we can expand into other countries eventually e.g. UK. Q1. Should I be self-referencing or should I have only a canonical for US site? Q2. Should I be using x-default if we're only in the English language? Q3. We previously failed when we had errors come back saying 'return tags not found' on a separate site even though the tags were on both sites. Was this because our previous site was only new and Google didn't rank it as often as our main domain.

Our web site lost ranking on google a couple of years ago. We have done lots of work on it but still can not improve our search ranking. Can anyone give us some advise
A couple of years ago the ranking on our site dropped over night. I believe someone working here at the time purchased links about that time. We have been doing lots of work on the site since then to improve it. We can not get our rankings back up on google searches. Can anyone give us some advise about what to do or where to go for some help that we can trust.

Pages Returning A 403 Error
Hiya Moz Community I hope you are all great, I have a question regarding one of my websites, I have the main site and 2 sub folder sites essentially, I decided to upgrade one of the sites and placed it in a different sub folder, I then set up a 301 redirect to the new location, so far so good, I have been having a look at my link profile using AHrefs, inside there is an SEO report facility, I ran the report and I have over 500 pages returning a 403 or Forbidden error. my question is whether the Equity from those pages is being passed to the new site? I actually removed all the old site from Google Cache to avoid misleading visitors, I suppose I could set the re-directs up manually if I the equity is not being passed to the new site although I was under the impression it would be, or 85% - 90% of it would be anyway. The reason why I am asking is that I have seen a significant drop in rankings for keywords that my site has always ranked highly for. thought I would see if you guys can clear that up for me. Why would our server return a 301 status code when Googlebot visits from one IP, but a 200 from a different IP?
I have begun a daily process of analyzing a site's Web server log files and have noticed something that seems odd. There are several IP addresses from which Googlebot crawls that our server returns a 301 status code for every request, consistently, day after day. In nearly all cases, these are not URLs that should 301. When Googlebot visits from other IP addresses, the exact same pages are returned with a 200 status code. Is this normal? If so, why? If not, why not? I am concerned that our server returning an inaccurate status code is interfering with the site being effectively crawled as quickly and as often as it might be if this weren't happening. Link Building, when to give up on a possible backlink provider
Hello, I'm doing content marketing, it's working but it's slow and steady. I'm looking for some wisdom here from people that have done a lot of linkbuilding. Phone calls are tending to be a great resource in our niche. But I've got about 10 sites that I've called about ten times each and they're taking up a lot of time. I've mostly narrowed down who to contact but that person won't answer the phone. My question is, when do you give up on a good lead? Do I just try to contact a good person 5?, or 10? times then leave a message, leave a message a week later, then give up? I don't think leaving a message for content marketing in this case would help much. Thanks for the advice.

Been away for a while is SEO really dead ? I don't think so...
I have been struggling with the google updates but recently we started a new project and by using guest blog posts we were able to achieve a top 3 ranking. It delivered traffic and sales so SEO still works. This is my understanding of the current situation - 1. Generic Keywords (forget it) 2. Go niche and long tail (but thats been the case for a while right) 3. Using related searches 4. Incoming links using brands and a wider range of phrases and urls. 5. Content thats sharable 6. Google plus buttons etc This is my current understanding I would love to hear your thoughts.

Flash to HTML? Will I lose rank when I return?
My clients site in in flash! I am taking it down and building an all HTML site. the domain is 11 years old and google has only indexed 3 pages...Yikes! My question is that when I rebuild the site and optimize it for certain keywords and get my placement moved higher and then switch back in 6 months to the all flash site. Will I lose my gained rank?

SEO on a mature site - diminishing returns?
I have a site that has been indexed in Google since 2002. Back then, I secured all of the highly recommended links of the time, like DMOZ and Yahoo Directory, and got just a couple very high PR links from highly relevant sites. That was enough to get us top listing on our best "niche" keywords and many long tail searches. Once we got to that point, we got lazy and have just relied upon our original links and any natural links that came our way. We also have a very highly detailed Adwords campaign in which we bid on almost any keyword that has every resulted in an organic conversion. A few months ago, I decided to kick our SEO efforts up a notch and hired a company to do an aggressive link building campaign and target some very high search volume terms that we had previously given up on. The campaign has been very successful in getting high ranking for several targetted terms. However, I am seeing zero impact on our site traffic or sales. I am beginning to wonder if Google's algorithms are so efficient that all of this extra SEO work is to no avail. Is there a point of diminishing returns where it is not productive to optimize a site's organic listings any further? Between our Adwords campaign, our already pretty good organic results, and google's ability to divine a searchers intent and lead them to the most relevant results, how do you decide when there is little benefit to further optimization? It is an important question for me because I have been considering putting a lot of work into adding content to our ecommerce site and I would hate to do all that work for nothing.
