G+personal or domain account?
-
I've looked through the forum and I understand that it now considered better to use a personal G+ account rather than a domain based one. I can change this as I haven't actively used by [email protected] yet but want to start doing this.
I understand that it is better to set up a personal G+ account and a business page. However I have a couple of questions:
1. which account do I direct the rel=author markup to, my personal G+ account or the business page. At the moment I write many of the posts on HomeforBusiness.
2. When I post from the HomeforBusiness site do I post to the business page or my personal page? Which is considered better for building connections and improved ranking?
Thanks,
Elizabeth

Thanks Tom. This helps. All I need to do now is to clarify for myself what to post on the personal and business account as both will need followers etc.

For point 1 - you should use your personal G+ account if for rel=author. You will not get the benefits of rel=author, such as the rich snippets in SERPs, if you use your company G+ page. Google has been quite insistent in saying that rel=author should be for people, so link it to you personal page.
As for point 2 - One would argue that whichever account of yours has the most followers/engagement levels, that would be the best channel to use. I'd probably experiment with using both, with an inkling towards using the business page. A theory being thrown around is that if your business page has a decent following count and engagement and you link it to your website via the rel=publisher schema tag, Google may associated the strong social profile with the website, take it as a social signal and then reward your website. Of course, to get a stronger business page, you would start by sharing the content actively on the business page as a preference. Hey, you could always do both (post on one, share on the other), provided it's not overkill.
Hope this helps!

Is Moz really able to track G+ properly
Hi, I have invested a good deal of time building a G+ community, from nothing to 137 (as of today) We post regular good quality mini blogs and images. We interact with communities and link back to our our own blog. We don't sell on it, it 100% user friendly content. I am getting 10 or so shares per post and 20 or so likes 2-3 times week. My questions are this: Why can't Moz track page views or post activities for posts on different communities? With all this work we still not able to fully intergrate G+ into our Moz view of the world Thanks James

If you post on two Twitter accounts could be rated as duplicate content
I have a personal Twitter account which is building up, but I also have a Twitter account for my holiday letting agency and until now I’ve always separated the subject of the tweets and links to my websites but I’m using Buffer which automates your tweets in advance and so I included some of the links to my business holiday letting agency articles on my personal account and people seem to like them and have shared them, but is there any risks to doing that regarding duplicate type of content? At the end of the day some the people on my personal Twitter will be interested in my agency tweets about holiday accommodation, I just want to do anything which could be termed spam.

Webmaster is showing hundreds of external links from 1 G+ post
A page on our site is registering as having 262 external links coming from two pages on Google+. The page it comes from is for posts related to #weddings, but I can't find the post with our link. Building links to a Twitter/social account
I've seen plenty of articles about using Twitter to build links, but how about building links to a Twitter account? Does registering on sites and directories like Topsy, Twellow and Klout help? We can link to Twitter accounts on our own websites and other social profiles, and use it as our link on blog comments etc, but is there anywhere else specific?

Should I have Facebook Likes on my webpage point to a Facebook page or just the domain?
We have a Like button on our site which currently Like's our domain. I'm wondering if it would be better if it Liked a Facebook page for our company. The benefit of liking the domain as I can see it is that when it appears on timelines a click will take you directly to our site.

Linking to a twitter account? Best to use the /#!/ or not? or no difference?
So if I am linking to someone's twitter account should I use the ajax code #! or not? http://twitter.com**/#!/**thos003 vs http://twitter.com/thos003 Bonus Question: I have also seen in the past that google splits a domain that has as a secure protocol. https://twitter.com vs http://twitter.com Does does that split link juice?
