Affiliate marketing dead?
-
I have created a network of travel websites that I have decided to promote little by little.. Also so they getdomain age and google trust.... but now when you search for all my main keyphrases... you either have wikitravel, lonelyplanet, frommers and other big brand. I guess that Google gave them better value as to get trusted travel information... However, it seems it will be very difficult to rank my sites. I could do long tail keyphrases but again might not be worth it...
I used to work as a SEO consultant for other travel sites selling products... they still rank pretty well as they are sites of value selling something.. of course threy compete with other sites but we are in the same level. How can you compete with loneyplanet with your affiliate site because I am not selling anything on my sites.
I am pretty much desperate.
I designed a network of 30 sites... all good content with good SEO on the page... of course, I will be honest. I might have to change the content to make it better... you can check one of my site here; www.simplyparis.org
it is worth it or better stop this project and focus on 1 product oriented website ?
Is anyone working as an affiliate marketer with experience after google panda and pinguin ?
is affiliate marketing dead in 2013 now?

I find lots of dupe content too.
Instead of building 30 sites I would focus on one, filling it full of high quality, original, substantive content.
Actually, I don't think that I would make a travel site like these because I don't have the resources to compete and the ability to produce fantastic content for cities around the world.
Lots of people see the sites of an industry ranking well in the search results. Then when they try to make their own site or a clients they discover that they can't rank. That's because they have zero authority and no power.
it is worth it or better stop this project and focus on 1 product oriented website ?
That is what I would be doing.

AM has been really hard for several years unless you have a heavyweight site. You can no longer toss up a site with grabbed content - or even original content and get traction in an industry as competitive as travel.
or my writers
heh... you gotta keep an eye on these guys.
-
ahhhhh!!!!!
is it someone who copied from me or my writers so copied there I guess...
but if it is from different sites and I come number 1... it is that there are copying from me..
anyhow... i will try to fix this...
concerning my other questions ? any clues?

this is not what I am doing... where do you see duplicate content?
-
When I do a Google search for certain phrases that I find on your website, I see a lot of duplicate content. How much of your website's content is completely unique?
It will help if you get a copywriter to write from scratch instead of piecing sentences together from other sites.

Will GA Autotrack affect affiliate sites not using autotrack?
I want to add autotrack.js to affiliate quote forms hosted on my site. However, I do not know how it will affect affiliate websites (not associated with my quote forms, but with the same Google Analytics code, that do not use autotrack. I read that "Autotrack is not an official Google Analytics product and does not qualify for GA Premium". Will it harm my affiliates in any way to have autotrack on their quote form but not on their websites? It will have their GA website tracking number.

Affiliate links and parameters creating duplicate page titles
Hi, we have an affiliate system and use rel=**canonical **to canonicalise them to the right link. Still, we see those links creating duplicate page titles, in Moz crawl and in Google search console. How are we supposed to treat those links so they do not create duplicate content? Thanks for your help!

UK Affiliate programmes as an advertiser
Hi, I'm looking into setting up an affiliate programme (as an advertiser). The company offers commercial mortgages for a UK market only. I was wondering if you had any experience with any UK affiliate platforms and had any recommendations? I want to test the water with a platform first as we don't really know whether it will work for us or not. We're looking at it for lead generation. Potentially offering payment on a completed mortgage or a lower payment per lead. I think it may be worthwhile offering both options. I'll have to work out the model, but we can make it work nicely for the publisher, I think. Thanks, Amelia

Affiliate site
I have a client I am doing SEO work for. He sells a system that helps people win at video keno. He sells a system for like $200 that shows people step by step how to play and win. Its a good site and he has a ton of verified winnings. My point in saying that, its not a fly-by-night system he wrote in his basement. I know - gambling, not easy for SEO. I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner. Wouldn't this potentially be perfect for affiliate marketing? He offers a good commission to whoever sends him traffic if they buy. If anybody could direct me to a resource or two that is reputable and would handle as much of the set up and management of this I would be very grateful! Thank you! Matthew

Best way to start affiliate marketing a new mens magazine website?
I have just started up a new mens magazine website featuring articles, videos, sports news and photos to help drive traffic to the website. I write all the articles myself and do the social media updates in my spare time. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on the best way to start doing affiliate marketing for a new website? I was inspired to do this by successful internet marketers who make a passive income off their websites. So far I have added Amazon and William Hill as affiliate links as I think my target market will be looking for these types of product links. Also, for anyone who has experience in this, how long it taken for your blog to become successful and make money? Many thanks, Alex

Is there any software on the market? The money is not a problem, I'm not looking only for free options, I'm looking for the best one. Thank you, Romeo.
