Duplicate lower and uppercase keywords
-
I get significantly different report cards for the same keywords with and without uppercase letters on the same URL.
The only difference between the two sets of keywords is the first letters of every keywords, e.g.:
"Air freight" - results in an "F"
"air freigth" - results in an "A"Should I stick to lowercase keywords only - and won't the search engines ignore the case anyway?

Hi there,
I tried to look into this issue in your campaign and I am not seeing that you have any On-Page reports being run for the same keyword with different capitalization, so I was going to run test reports for the specific example you gave and I also don't see the keyword "air freight" with different capitalization in your keyword list, so I wasn't able to test exactly what you mentioned within the campaign.
I did run the test for Air Freight and air freight against the /air-freight/main-carriers page of your site in the stand-alone On-Page tool (http://pro.seomoz.org/tools/on-page-keyword-optimization) and I am seeing both versions of the keyword receiving A grades with exactly the same metrics counted for both, so they are being treated the same regardless of capitalization.
I was able to test within the campaign for the keywords Freight Consultants and freight consultants against the URL /air-freight/air-compliance/air-freight-consultants and those keywords also both return exactly the same reports with an A grade, so we are considering both versions of the keyword.
I'm not seeing a bug for capitalization of keywords in our system, so it would be really helpful if you could provide me with screenshot of the pages of where you are seeing this issue so that I can investigate further?
Thanks,
Chiaryn

this sounds like a bug more than anything to me - maybe the moz team can shed some light on this.
The only time I've found a difference in ranking for caps vs non -caps is due to semantics and google knowing things like "church" and "Church" are different entities - in your own example though this wouldn't be the case ... hence i think its a bug.
mmm a puzzle

Homepage and keywords
hello, another problem i am facing is that if i see in my rankings over 90% of keywords are connected with my home page. When i go to moz pro in Page Optimization Score wanting to optimize the page to rank better there are some propositions the issue is that it is impossible to have over 100 keywords in home page title to optimize it better for each one of these. I have more specific build more specific sites for many of these keywords in the site but google continues to rank all those keywords for the home page and not for the more specific page that could also be optimized for every keyword it deals with. In adition the question i posted in moz with url: https://mza.bundledseo.com/community/q/greek-language-distinctiveness is also mainly connected with above issue. Please help thanks

On Page Optimization, F on all keywords?
On our website we have all F's even though we have the targeted keyword in the title, url, meta desc, h1, body and some of the img alt's. They still show zero uses of the keyword. Are we missing something here or is this some kind of bug or glitch? Any help or advice is appreciated, Thanks. Keywords ranking on Homepage but are not mentioned.
I was wondering why some of my keywords are ranking in my homepage but are not mentioned even once. Is it maybe because they are semantically related with the keywords targeted on the homepage? What are the reason(s) for this? Thanks for enlightening me with this one.

Duplicate Content
I'm currently working on a site that sells appliances. Currently, there are thousands of "issues" with this site, many of them dealing with duplicate content. Now, the product pages can be viewed in "List" or "Grid" format. As Lists, they have very little in the way of content. My understanding is that the duplicate content arises from different URLs going to the same site. For instance, the site might have a different URL when told to display 9 items than when told to display 15. This could then be solved by inserting rel = canonical. Is there a way to take a site and get a list of all possible duplicates? This would be much easier than slogging through every iteration of the options and copying down the URLs. Also, is there anything I might be missing in terms of why there is duplicate content? Thank you.

Duplicate content on domains we own
Hello! We are new to SEO and have a problem we have caused ourselves. We own two domains GoCentrix.com (old domain) and CallRingTalk.com (new domain that we want to SEO). The content was updated on both domains at about the same time. Both are identical with a few exceptions. Now that we are getting into SEO we now understand this to be a big issue. Is this a resolvable matter? At this point what is the best approach to handle this? So far we have considered a couple of options. 1. Change the copy, but on which site? Is one flagged as the original and the other duplicate? 2. Robots.txt noindex, nofollow on the old one. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Keyword at homepage
Hi there, this is the url of my homepage: http://www.sehaidoyamama.com/piensapiensa/ PiensaPiensa is not my keyword. I have selected a keyword to optimize the homepage. Does anyone know how to include the keyword in the url of the homepage? I tried to do it in the "pages" section of wordpress but I wasn't able to do it. The home page doesn't allow to change the url. Is it important to set up a keyowrd in the url of the homepage? Is it appropiate from the usability perspective? Thanks

Duplicate Page Titles and Keywords
Still new to this SEO world, so please bear with me. I have an eCommerce site so one of the issues is duplicate content and page titles. So what I was thinking was this...for each product that I sell I have 4 or 5 keywords that I have targeted. For example for personalized iPhone cases I have decided on: iphone 4 case personalized, monogrammed iphone 4 case, personalized and monogrammed iphone case, preppy phone case, personalized iPhone case, monogrammed iPhone case For each of my products I was going to a product description (ie: trendy color block diagonal stripes) and a targeted keyword. But I was going to rotate the keywords through so as to try to avoid the duplicate page title issue. Will that help? Thanks much, Shara
