Just searched Google.co.uk for:
beauty salons in chelmsford
and on page 3, 192.com have 7 listings
What's going on?
Is anyone else seeing stuff like that?

We certainly have searches that we do real well in, with the top 2/3/4 places claimed (and more spots on P2, P3 etc), but this is certainly one of the most extreme cases I've seen!

Did you know that for the typical keyword that less than 200 domains are all that can be found in the first 1000 results?
That's right. The typical domain has six to ten pages displayed in the first 1000.
What these guys have figured out how to do is saturate the top 30... and if you can apply a little force you can dominate the top 20 or even get the top 4.
... but you can't do that if you fear keyword cannibalization. Don't settle for one position.

Found a similar example today, UK SERPs for 'garden buildings'.
p1 #1 organic result - gardenbuildingsdirect.co.uk
p2 - same website has #7-10 - four results!
p3 - same website has #1-9 - nine results!

All of the people who think that keyword cannibalization is a sin.... take a lesson from this.

I see the same result as you for that search, too. 192.com has a couple of listings on page one, a single listing on page two, and SEVEN on page three.

Images not being indexed by Google
Greetings, we have an image heavy site (it's a fashion blog that is over 11 years old) and for some reason our images aren't being indexed by google. We've looked at the robot.txt, CDN (we're using cloudfont via Amazon), etc as well as searched google webmaster. We still can't figure it out. None of the images on our pages are being indexed. Blocking Google From Accessing Our Images - SEO Impact
We recently discovered that we were blocking Google from crawling our cdn, cdn.yournextshoes.com, where all our images are hosted. Unfortunately this went on for several months, and I wonder if this could explain our horrible SEO performance. Basically, I would like to know if this has impacted just our performance in Google Images (obviously our images have not been picked up by Google Images), or if our regular SEO has been impacted as well.Right now we're just receiving around 13% of our traffic from search, so we're trying to find out why Google does not like us.

Thoughts on Google's New NAP Dispaly on Google+ Local
Hi, Do you think ACTION needs to happen based on Google's new NAP formatting change? They are changing Suite or STE to #. So for example 265 Racine Dr #100 Wilmington, NC 28403 Even if you enter in Suite they change it to pound. I am wondering the thoughts of the community of the following: 1. Do you think Google knows that STE, Suite, and # are all the same 2. Do you feel that we need to change ALL online local business listings and our website to match this change. 3. Google Local Listings dropped in all major keywords
One of our websites had dropped dramatically in all of his major keywords over the past several days. He was ranked in the maps section in google (the old pages not the google plus pages) in the top 3 in his most important keywords and all of a sudden they dropped off the first page completely - not just down one or 2 places. Not sure what happened and how to fix it.. help please!!!

Does anyone have experience with ecinity.com as a vehicle for populating local search directories? If yes, how would you rank it as a competitor to Localeze and UBL?
I've been approached by the company to use their tool. It has functionality beyond just populating local data sources which I'm not concerned with. I just want to know how it ranks in terms of local directory coverage. They claim 85% of the local directories will be populated.

Google+Local Reviews have gone? Any ideas?
Hi Since Google switched places to Google+ Local lots of the reviews that were on the listing are no longer showing? A customer of mine brought up the point when visiting the store today, when they are logged into Google they can see their review under Your Activity, however when they are logged out the only review is listed under 1 Review from everyone and the review is no longer being shown? Any ideas on what is going on? Also with local search / places optimisation has the best practice guidelines changed now that is transformed into Google+ Local? If so it would be great to share any links on getting the most out of this new + local service
