Verification problem with Google Local + Listing
-
Our company has more than 250+ clients, so I need to open around 250 Gmail account for Google Local + (old Google Places), so for around 250 gmail account I need to verify 250 times the mails with phone. I wanted to know, can I open Google Places with a clients domain mail, example: [email protected] instead of [email protected]

Thanks for the answer David, I didn't expect to get an answer from you. Everything that I know in SEO I have learned from you and the SEO Moz team, so I feel really excited that you replied.
In order to claim Google Local+ I need to have a Google+ profile. I wanted to know if I could create the 250 places for each client with their emails ([email protected]) and then claim all the 250 Google Local+ of the different companies, and manage them all from one Google+ account.
The idea is like on facebook, where you can manage a bunch of pages with one account.
P.S. If this is possible, can I afterwards authorize the client to manage their own Google Local+, in case they don't want to extend the contract with our agency?

Cvissi,
Couple things:
#1 If this is one client with 250 locations, then it's a best practice to create a [email protected] email address and then use the Bulk Upload feature from within Google Places for Business.#2 If it is actually 250 individual clients with 1 location each, you should create a unique account along the lines of [email protected] for each one of those locations.
You should never use an agency email address to claim client locations.
Does that make sense?

Changed all product titles, lost google schema markup in listings. Temporary?
We changed all of our product titles to be way shorter and less keyword stuffed last week. Short of dropping a few places in rank for most keywords (we assume temporarily) that all went fine. What we didn't expect was to loose all the schema data in our google listings from product pages. Price, and review stars are missing. Has anyone seen this before?

Google not using redirect
We have a GEO-IP redirect in place for our domain, so that users are pointed to the subfolder relevant for their region, e.g: Visit example.com from the UK and you will be redirected to example.com/uk This works fine when you manually type the domain into your browser, however if you search for the site and come to example.com, you end up at example.com I didn't think this was too much of an issue but our subfolders /uk and /au are not getting ranked at all in Google, even for branded keywords. I'm wondering if the fact that Google isn't picking up the redirect means that the pages aren't being indexed properly? Conversely our US region (example.com/us) is being ranked well. Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

HELP! Google Business listing removed - check out my SERP free fall!
Hey Moz Community, I need your help. I have (had) a google local business listing. I made some changes last week to clean it up. Now it's gone and I've had a massive fall in my rankings (see images). Changes I made: I changed the business name from a spammy name: BYOL Graphic Design & Web Design Courses. TO: **Bring Your Own Laptop PTY LTD. ** I added Local business schema to my website. I added my telephone, address etc. Previously it was all an image. I tinkered with a few other things while I was there too but I can't remember them all. Other notes: Initially I blamed the dramatic drop on Hummingbird but after doing some research I'm not so sure. I think it's because I was messing around with Google Local. My listing is/was here: https://plus.google.com/111689574762050943425 (though it doesn't work any more). My website is www.bringyourownlaptop.com.au Questions: Do you think the loss of my Google local listing could be the cause of such a big drop? If it is my Google local listing - Is there a way to find out what I did wrong? Is there a place to ask for it to be re-checked? Is it better to just start again with a new listing? Do you think it's tied together with a Hummingbird change some how? What else can I check? What would you do? Thanks for your time. Dan

Problem with Rel Canonical
Background: We check to make sure that IF you use canonical URL tags, it points to the right page. If the canonical tag points to a different URL, engines will not count this page as the reference resource and thus, it won't have an opportunity to rank. If you've not made this page the rel=canonical target, change the reference to this URL. NOTE: For pages not employing canonical URL tags, this factor does not apply. Clearly I am doing something wrong here, how do I check my various pages to see where the problem lies and how do I go about fixing it?

Is the number at the top of google wrong
If I search a term, any term, Google states at the top 922,000 results (as an example). However, if you click the "O" in google at the bottom you can get the 2nd and 3rd and 4th page of results. Those numbers don't match. The result of my searches would show anywhere from 120-140 results, but the number at the top is in the tens of thousands if not millions. Am I missing something here? Shouldn't these numbers be the same?

Will Google Continue to Index the Page with NoIndex Tag Upon Google +1 Button Impression or Click?
The FAQs for Google +1 button suggests as follows: "+1 is a public action, so you should add the button only to public, crawlable pages on your site. Once you add the button, Google may crawl or recrawl the page, and store the page title and other content, in response to a +1 button impression or click." If my page has NoIndex tag, while at the same time inserted with Google +1 button on the page, will Google recognise the NoIndex Tag on the page (and will not index the page) despite the +1 button's impression or clicks send signals to Google spiders?
