Strange 404 Error(Answered)

Hi everyone!
I recently took over a new account and I was running an initial crawl on the site and a weird 404 error popped up.
http://www.directcolors.com/products/liquid-colored-antique/top
http://www.directcolors.com/applications/concrete-antiquing/top
http://www.directcolors.com/applications/concrete-countertops/topI understand that the **top **could be referring to an actual link that brings users to the top of a page, but on these pages there is no such link. Am I missing something?

Thanks! That is what I get for looking at things at 2am...completely oblivious to look into the actual source code to pull that tag off. Next time I'll ask a question in the morning!

you might want to check out the source code.
If that is the "Go to Top" type of link. you will see < a href="#top">(anchor text) The location of the anchor text will be<a name="top"></a>

In the source code, at the beginning of the tag, you have a <a href="<a href="http://www.directcolors.com/products/liquid-colored-antique/top" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">top"> bit of code.</a href="<a>
This won't be doing anything apart from creating a 404 error, so you can remove it.
Incidentally, if your client or you are looking at how to place internal anchors on a page, this is a great guide on how to do it.
As the article says, for any link like this to work it would need to be in the of the HTML, not the as it currently is.

Subdomain 403 error
Hi Everyone, A crawler from our SEO tool detects a 403 error from a link from our main domain to a a couple of subdomains. However, these subdomains are perfect accessibly. What could be the problem? Getting rid of pagination - redirect all paginated pages or leave them to 404?
Hi all, We're currently in the process of updating our website and we've agreed that one of the things we want to do is get rid of all our pagination (currently used on the blog and product review areas) and instead implement load more on scroll. The question I have is... should we redirect all of the paginated pages and if so, where to? (My initial thoughts were either to the blog homepage or to the archive page) OR do we leave them to just 404? Bear in mind we have thousands of paginated pages 😕 Here's our blog area btw - https://www.ihasco.co.uk/blog Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Search pages showing up as soft 404 in WMT
Hi ....we are getting allot of "site search" pages showing up in wmt as soft 404's and wanted to know what the best would be to stop this. All search pages are already noindex follow but maybe we should block them in robots txt as well. Would the below help to solve this ? User-agent: *

Error in webmaster tools
Hi, I just got an error (12 pages especifically) from webmaster tools when consulting "indexing problems" Something like: The URL doesn't exist, but the server doesn't return a 404 error. What should I do? Many Thanks.

404 Error from site - is this normal?
I have been trying to clean up any 404 errors. We keep getting the following: URL /include/vdimgck.php referring domain http://www.856d.c@m/plus/feedback.php rendered domain unclickable by adding the "@" since I do not know if it is safe. I just turned off the trackbacks and pings in the blog since I saw it was producing duplicate content and from what I read it is not worth keeping those with Wordpress. is vdimgck.php anything some here instantly recognizes ? It tops all our 404 errors, seems like a lot of requests. Thanks!

Help with bing redirection error
Can somebody help me figure out this bing redirect error. The link to "http://w******/flea-control" has resulted in HTTP redirection to "http://w******/feas/flea-control/".Search engines can only pass page rankings and other relevant data through a single redirection hop. Using unnecessary redirects can have a negative impact on page ranking. I am using wordpress. I am actually linking to the /feas/flea-control/ version. I have looked every where for help. WP Blog Errors
My WP blog is adding my email during the crawl, and I am getting 200+ errors for similar to the following; http://www.cisaz.com/blog/2010/10-reasons-why-microsofts-internet-explorer-dominance-is-ending/[email protected] "[email protected]" is added to Every post. Best 404 Error Checker?
I have a client with a lot of 404 errors from Web Master Tools, and i have to go through and check each of the links because Some redirect to the correct page Some redirect to another url but its a 404 error Some are just 404 errors Does anyone know of a tool where i can dump all of the urls and it will tell me If the url is redirected, and to where if the page is a 404 or other error Any tips or suggestions will be really appreciated!
