Understanding the "Index Status" Data Inside Google Webmaster Tools
-
Currently there are total 2,787 Articles added to my Blog.
The Index Status shows the following report under Index Status>Advance
Total Indexed = 12,505
Blocked by robots = 8,659
And when I do search for site:techmaish.com in Google.com, it shows;
About 12,200 results (0.15 seconds)
Now my question.
1:- Is it normal Or there is something wrong?
2:- If there is something wrong then what is that?
Thanks in advance.

There are no such errors under "Crawl" section.
-
It looks like the skype link is nofollowed though, so it's probably not the problem.
-
I crawled your site. Have you looked for errors in Google Webmaster Tools? That should help you find issues like this too.
-
Oh my God, It is actually the link added to our home page for Skype so that our readers can use to add us on skype.
Gyi, where exactly you got this? I mean I can't find it in google.
-
Something's going on with something to do with skype. Creating a lot of this: /skype:%5btechmaish%5d?%5baction%5d=
-
Yes the demo.techmaish.com is created for one of our WordPress Theme.
However the wppluginsblog.techmaish.com is not intended to be there. Thanks for pointing me there. I will deindex this one.
But why there is difference between the Total Index and URLs available in the Sitemap. I only have around 2,787 articles in the blog, but Google is showing 12,000 in its Index.

Is there any reason to get a massive decrease on indexed pages?
Hi, I'm helping on SEO for a big e-commerce in LatAm and one thing we've experienced during the last months is that our search traffic had reduced and the indexed pages had decreased in a terrible way. The site had over 2 Million indexed pages (which was way too much, since we believe that around 10k would be more than enough to hold the over 6K SKUs) but now this number has decreased to less than 3K in less than 2 months. I've also noticed that most of the results in which the site is still appearing are .pdf or .doc files but not actual content on the website. I've checked the following: Robots (there is no block, you can see that on the image as well) Webmaster Tools Penalties Duplicated content I don't know where else to look for. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance! cpLwX1X

What is the best way to rank well on both Google.co.uk & Google.com?
I am working on a website that is primarily a UK based software company but is now expanding into the US. The website is a .com site and is not geo-targeted to any specific location. Currently the site ranks well on Google.co.uk for a number of the focus keywords. We are now targeting Google.com as well to increase visibility in the USA. The site is ranking number 1 for one of the focus terms on Google.co.uk but no where to be seen on Google.com but on another term the site ranks 3rd in both Google.co.uk and .com. There are a number of other terms that rank on the first page in Google.co.uk and on the 3rd or 4th page in Google.com. The server is located in Germany and I do not want to geotarget the site to the US as I am concerned this would have a negative impact on the .co.uk ranking. The site currently has a mix of .com and .co.uk links pointing back to the site, in actual fact possibly more links actually come from US sites already. My original plan was to just focus on building links back to the target pages from US sites rather than creating a US folder on the site and geotargeting that section of the site in WMT and having to build page authority for a completely new page with no existing backlinks. But now that I have a number 1 ranking on .co.uk and the same term not ranking at all in .com as well as a postion 3 ranking for a term in both .co.uk and .com I am slightly confused as to the best options. Any help, advice, opinions would be greatly appreciated.

How to replace my .co.uk site with my .com site in the US Google results
My customer and I are based in the UK. My customer's site, www.blindbolt.co.uk has been around for years. Last year we launched their American site, www.blindboltusa.com. Searching on google.com (tested both via proxy and using the gl=us querystring trick), a search for blind bolt on the US Google returns our www.blindbolt.co.uk site. We would like it to show our www.blindboltusa.com website in US searches. Webmaster tools has the Geographic Target set correctly for each site. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions please? Thanks.

Do ".edu." links with appended ccTLD have similar value to .edu links with no ccTLD?
Just wondering if there is any evidence or data to suggest that, all things being equal, a link from a college or university with a ccTLD has more value than another ccTLD link. I have some anecdotal evidence that several URLs with the *.edu.ph ccTLD have domain authorities over 55. My expectation is that because only a TLD is ever truly a TLD: ucla_.edu_ is a true .edu link, but for a URL such as "feu.edu.ph" the Top-level domain is the ccTLD, i.e. .ph for the Philippines, and the .edu portion of the root domain will be irrelevant to the link's value. But I'm hoping I'm wrong... 🙂

Does publishing your physical company address increase your Google Trust?
The question is in the title: Does publishing your physical company address increase your Google Trust? I.e. on the contact page of the website, providing a physical address. The address would match the WHOIS entry for the domain, and allow customers to contact you via post.
