Duplicate contents with competitors websites

Hello,
I have use the http://copyscape.com to check the duplicate content and found that my website have some errors duplicate contents with other competitors website. But a problem is, I could not define the reason of this (my website copied the competitors website or they copied of mine)
To solve this issues, should I modify a unique my contents (this is difficult) or anyone have a good solution for this problem? Please give me advice?

If the content is originally yours, then you can add canonical tags. It's not a guarantee that the search engines will follow those tags, but it's a start. You could also try to report the competitor site to Google and Bing and tell them they are stealing your content. Keep in mind the search engines usually take a while to respond.
If your site stole the content, then you just need to remove it and create your own, unique content.

Domain authority of competitor went up drastically
Hello Moz community, I’m following one of my competitors on Moz, and I noticed a huge bump in his domain authority overnight, going from 8 to 53. I figured there must have been a reason for that, so I checked their links overview, and noticed they got tons of new external followed links, followed linking domains and total linking domains (see screenshot 1). I clicked on the external followed links to see what they are, and I saw tons of redirect notices (see screenshot 2). The links are from google: maps.google.co.fr cse.google.co.fr images.google.co.fr And .fr is just an example, they have tons of other cctlds like .it .ca .es… the list goes on (see screenshot 3) Do you know where these redirect notices are from? It may be worth noting that some of these redirect to the http version of his website, while others redirect to the https version. I’m guessing this must be a bug on Moz’s end or some sort of SEO trick, but did his DA really go up that much, and does it positively affect his website or will Google penalize this? Duplicate content on site->citations? How important is it to change it?
Hi there, I recently realised that the citations and directories i was building used the same content than the one on my website. I know this is not best practice. I will for sure make sure it doesn't happen in the future, but I am affraid of the ones i built in the past. How much do you think this would affect my rankings, and do you think this is a priority to go through my citations and directories to modify it?

Has your site ever been targeted by malicious link building executed by a competitor?
I'm pretty sure one of my client's sites has been targeted by malicious black hat link building tactics employed by a competitor site. Over the last few weeks we've gotten 100s of super low quality spammy backlinks. No one has been doing link building, so the only thing I can think of is that competitor entered our URL into some spammy backlink building sites. Has anyone else experienced this? It's the real estate industry, so I wouldn't be surprised considering how competitive it is, but I'd love to hear your experiences.

I have read from an authorative source that you can duplicate your blog posts on your google plus account without issues as google knows that this is your 'property'. is this correct and what would be the value in doing so? until we have need sign posting new blog posts with a link. Ash

Does publishing an article from your site on other sites hurt your site if you require a link back to your site? If website B, C, and D publish an article found site A, but they link back to site A, does that hurt or help site A?

Asking other websites to link your website when the want to be in your directory
Hello, We have 3 web directories, and I wonder if it is legal for search engines to ask people who want to be in the directory to link to a particular website in order to be in our directory. I mean, it is free adding the url in the directory but if they lwant to be in the directory they have to ink to a website we have decided.
