Duplicate contents with competitors websites
-
Hello,
I have use the http://copyscape.com to check the duplicate content and found that my website have some errors duplicate contents with other competitors website. But a problem is, I could not define the reason of this (my website copied the competitors website or they copied of mine)
To solve this issues, should I modify a unique my contents (this is difficult) or anyone have a good solution for this problem? Please give me advice?

If the content is originally yours, then you can add canonical tags. It's not a guarantee that the search engines will follow those tags, but it's a start. You could also try to report the competitor site to Google and Bing and tell them they are stealing your content. Keep in mind the search engines usually take a while to respond.
If your site stole the content, then you just need to remove it and create your own, unique content.

paid guest posts or purchasing backlink from Authority website is Black Hat SEO or safe?
Hi dear MOZ community members, I am a new blogger. I need some suggestions while link building for the blog: duplicate bills. If I buy backlinks from authority websites through guest posts then is this safe for my website or is it black hat SEO and could lead to penalization by Google? Kindly guide me.

Links from Directory Websites with NoFollow Tag
In reviewing our root domain links, I noticed that many of the directories (like Yellow Pages, Insider Pages, Merchant Circle, etc) that there are no follow codes included in the link to our website. Is this a common practice for these directories? Also, I wanted to confirm that this would not help in our link building strategies with any relevant "link juice." Below is a copy and pasted (with some extra characters that shouldn't have copy and pasted), but the key note here is the no follow tag that was included in this link to our site. Visit Website Thanks as always MOZ Community - cheers!

1 Business 2 websites: NAP issue?
I'm taking on a client who has two websites, one for auto sales side and the other for auto repair. We're taking on the auto repair site. They both share the same business name, address and phone number. Do you foresee any NAP errors if we direct all the directories to the auto repair site?

What would you do with virtually unlimited quality content?
Hi All, We have a site with over 6000 products, several hundred category pages, numerous brand landing pages etc etc. As part of an ever expanding SEO team we have a number of article/content writers that are writing QUALITY content. Because we are in the cooking/cookware/kitchenware niche, these articles are on a range of subjects. E.g. recipes, how to clean products, getting the best out of products, differences between brands and styles, seasonal trends etc etc. We currently have a dedicated blog that is a completely different URL to our ecommerce site, a number of smaller blogs that are quite spammy but rank well for certain terms that are all interlinked in a random way (hey, don't hate me), buying guides, all the usual social media accounts etc. We also sponsor a number of quality external cooking blogs that link back to our site when we give them products to review. My question is, how would you best use this content? We are looking at starting our own blog hosted on our ecommerce domain as well (the one on the other domain is OK, but our new blog will have awesome content). Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks!

Quality Content...Sizzle
I see tons of 'push quality content'... push quality content.. Ok Ok. However, I am a little confused about this. Maybe I am understanding it wrong. Say I have a website about donuts. I am going to try to promote my donut website so people can see all my latest donuts and hopefully they will come into my local store and purchase them. I interpret quality content as writing about the topic of donuts. However, people who eat donuts probably don't care about the history of donuts, or the different types of dough used. They probably could care less about statistical facts that explain how my fictional donut company uses a whole wheat dough which will lower their cholesterol. What they want to see is a fat donut with icing on it. They want to see someone biting into it and enjoying it. How does a local donut company go about becoming #1 on the serps if they do not want to write constantly about all things donuts? A video would be nice for them perhaps? Like I said, perhaps I am overthinking this. But I have understood the best way to write quality content is to identify a problem that people are having, then find the solution, then write about it (or video). But sometimes people just need to be TEMPTED. Coca-Cola uses awesome commercials to promote their business. They are not writing articles about high fructose corn syrup. How does this so called 'temptation' factor play into SEO? I want to sell the sizzle not the sausage. Ultimately marketing is about getting more sales which means more money for the business. Being high on the SERPs helps get more sales (hopefully). Writing quality content is great and I am sure it works in plenty of areas. But I am not sure how to apply it to certain industries. Creative marketing ideas have to come into play to market the fake donut business. How do you tie these other strategies in so they help you with SEO? All I can think about is posting a 'cool' video on youtube/facebook and trying to get people to like it. Cross your fingers and hope it goes somewhat viral? Thanks!

How do you find out what (and when) new websites are linking to your site?
I may be missing the obvious here, but is there any way (a programme or site) of seeing what new links come into your site? Obviously as anyone who works in SEO, I like to see which links we have got with the work we put in contacting webmasters, etc. But is there a better way than just manually looking through ALL the links? Any help will appreciated.
