Keyword Rankings Compare to X not working
-
Anyone else having trouble with the compare your keyword positions with competitors section of the analytics? The rankings for my site(s) are fine but whichever competitor I click on to compare rankings to just returns 'Not in Top 50' the competitor is ranking. I have just manually checked and they are very much listed in the engine.
Is this tool broken?

Hey Grumpy Carl,
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. The Q&A questions don't come to the Help Team directly so it can be some time before they get sent over to us. You can always email us directly at [email protected] for a speedier response.
I looked into your account and it looks like you have 5 campaigns, so I wasn't sure which campaign/competitor you were seeing this issue with to look into it directly, but I can explain what is likely to be causing the issue.
It looks like most of the competitors you are tracking are set up as a root domain, but we are only able to track competitors at the root domain level. The non-www version of your competitors are what you are tracking in your campaign, but it looks like most of your competitors are ranking under the www subdomain in the search engines.
If you add the www subdomain in front of your competitors from your edit campaigns settings tab, you should get some pretty awesome rankings data next time your rankings are pulled. Unfortunately, we aren't able to force an update between the automatic updates. Here is some more info on campaign settings: http://moz.com/help/pro/campaign-setup
I hope this clears things up. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
Chiaryn

Keyword Research: Page Authority and Keyword Difficulty
A speaker at a conference suggested using your Page Authority (of home page) number as a benchmark in keyword research to compare against keyword difficulty number. So if you had a Page Authority score of 60, you would look for keywords with a difficulty of under 60 (using the MOZ metrics for keyword difficulty). Has anyone used these metrics in this way? Any success?

Comparing New vs. Old Keyword Difficulty Scores
We've had a few questions regarding the new Keyword Difficulty score used in Keyword Explorer, and how it compares to the old score in our stand-alone Keyword Difficulty tool. Specifically, people want to know why some scores are much lower using the new tool. There a general discussion of the math behind the tool in this post: Keyword Research in 2016: Going Beyond Guesswork One of the problems we had with the original Keyword Difficulty score is that, because it's based on our Page Authority (PA) score and PA tends toward the middle of the 0-100 range, Difficulty got a bit bunched up. A Difficulty score in the low-to-mid 20s (via the old tool) is actually very low. So, we set out to re-scale the new tool to broaden that score and use more of the 0-100 range. We hoped this would allow more granularity and better comparisons. While the logic is sound, we're concerned that we may have been too aggressive in this re-scaling, given recent feedback. So, we're going to be analyzing a large set of keywords (anonymously, of course) that people have run through the tool to see if too many Difficulty scores seem too low. If they do, we'll make some adjustments to the math. In the meantime, please be aware that low scores may appear lower in the new tool and very high scores may appear higher. We wanted to address some of the limitations in V1 and feedback over the years, and so the old and new scores really can't be compared directly in a meaningful way. We're sorry for any confusion that has caused, and we will re-evaluate if necessary.

What works when common ranking factors fail?
I have seen in few instances where the ranking factors doesn't seem to work for competitive keywords. The websites which don't have more than one or two links rank much higher in search results. Any clue what SEOs should do in that scenario?

What keywords should I use in my campaign.
I am a chiropractor. I only compete against web sites in my town. Should my key words be neck pain, back pain? Or should it be neck pain Bloomington Illinois and low back pain Bloomington Illinois? I am referring to the campaigns I just started. (I am new)

Ranking report not accurate
I've justed signed up for SEOMOZ and testing out the ranking report software. For a client that I'm doing an audit for I've ran a ranking report against the keywords. Using Chrome Incognito I've checked the ranking and they are on the 1st page but the ranking report is showing they aren't in the top 43, any ideas why this might be? I've checked my setting and set up and that's all fine.

Internal link question - compared with my competitors
Dear all, I started to working on SEO on my website http://www.techstation.it and I have some thing that I would clarify. I see a lot of differences between internal links of my website and my competitors that usually are placed a bit better. (Please check attached image). They have A LOT of internal links, about 2.000+ instead 137 (mine), that's wrong in my SEOMOz dashboard. Every news and article page has 120-130 links to other contents. About teh external followed links: Mine: 1,674 #1: 2,018 #2: 316 (????) - this is placed really good for some competitive keywords #3 (best ranked): 7,905 links I have two more points that I would fix: Articles ranking We were one of the first 5-6 website that published at the launch day the review of Intel Core i7 3960X CPU and started with a ranking in the last first page results, a few days alter in the second and now we are at the end of the second page. This happens .. I think... every time 😕 All my article pages are graded with "A grade" in the control panel. So what should I do for increase my rankings? Thank you very much in advance! Alex

SEOmoz mobile search keyword tracking?
Does anyone know if we can expect keyword rank tracking in Google mobile? It would be a cool feature for SEOmoz Pro. Does anybody know of any reliable software that does this at the moment?
