It could be noted that depending on the DMOZ listing you are going after, in the vertical or niche you focus on, it could be months to get a listing approved depending on the moderator watching that category. Just a little something to consider after you submit the site, if you haven't already. Don't submit multiple times
Also - if you are using the DMOZ listing (after it's live and approved), and have a specific "description" or "title" for the site or page you are using, and don't want to use it across Google's search index, make sure to use the META field on your page. NOTE: This will only apply after your listing if/when is approved in the DMOZ directory. I took a small piece of the content from Google's product support page below and pasted it in right here:

First, DMOZ is a reasonable goal, but do not place more weight on it than it really deserves. It is a nice link, but there are tons of sites not listed in DMOZ that do very well. But, to get listed is not a do this, this, and this and you will get listed.
First, have you submitted it at all? I will assume you have not, but from looking at your business I will also assume you have gone to the dmoz site and read what to do or not to do. Because we are an agency and we are working daily to assist clients, we submit sites from time to time to dmoz. Some are listed, some not. One key IMO is that you have good content. Since you are in a reasonably competitive vertical with moving, I would be very sure to have unique content (don't rush out and change as you have some authority, etc.) that is not a rehash of other sites. With each site, make sure you go for a couple of the good paid directories (Yahoo directory, BOTW, etc.). Make sure you are submitting for what you do and not trying to use it as some mechanism to move a particular business segment, etc.
Three or four years ago, we had built a site for a client and written some very good custom content. Somehow the content around the main portion of the site was all over the web on news feeds, etc. Very shortly later, that site was in dmoz. Then within about a month another site of that client was listed and his main hit at same time. So, was I smart or lucky...probably a bit of both. But, do all you know from MOZ, etc. and submit both sites. Then you have to wait.

Need Help with www and non-www redirect
Hi everyone, I've been looking around the forum and found some similar topics but none of them have solved my problem. Anyway, I'm new to SEO and found that when I use Open Site Explorer for the www version of my site I see the links directed to my page, but none of my twitter stats show up. When I do the same for my non-www version. I see my twitter stats, but no links. Facebook seems unchanged. Also, the Page Authority is much higher for the www (I assume because of the links) It is my understanding that it doesn't matter which version of the domain is used, I just need to pick one and stick with it (on Google Webmaster Tools, etc.). And that I also need to do a 301 redirect for the version that I'm not using. The issue now is that I have a 301 redirect, and when I type in my url in any version (http, https, www, non-www) it all redirects in the browser without issue. So i know users are getting to the right page, but the Open Site Explorer still sees them as 2 different sites. My concern is that if Open Site Explorer sees it this way then Google may see it this way as well and I could be missing out on potential rankings. Also, I'm using wordpress and it has the URL set to the non-www version of the site. However, I think I would like to change this to the www version because most of the links are directing to www, and I also think people are more familiar with that format. Help needed on what to do with deleti
Hi, i need some help as i am lost on what exactly the best to do. My website http://goo.gl/KxN8X6 I want to delete my community http://goo.gl/SbY39r which is giving me a nightmare when it comes to seo friendly. The /community has too many errors with seo and I think is harming the site growth. Now I want to delete it but if i delete it I am going to get a lot of 404 errors. So I was thinking to first add a Noindex and nofollow to it and in a month delete it. Could you please let me know if this is a good strategy? or if you can suggest something better. I really don't want the community. Thank you for your help.

I've create a couple campaigns (sub-domains) but I want them to largely have the same keywords as my other already create campaigns. How can I bring across these keywords? Export and then import them somehow?

Does crawling help in optimisation.?
the website is as it was last week. no optimisation from my side for 10 days now. i was ranked 5 with my keyword not much competition there. however 2 days ago i registrred at seomoz and created a campaign for my website with my keywords that were ranked 5 in search. today i see that my rank has gone up to 2. i have nt done any optimisation neither have ii created any backlinks. so how and why did i climb up? i just created a campaign and let seomoz crawl my website for 2days. am i to assume seomoz crawl optimises website? if that is the case then can i create a campaign crawl pages, climb up in searches, delete the campaign after a week, create it again crawl pages and climb up and so on ? please advise?

SEO-Experts help answer my newbie questions!
Hello! Thanks for coming to my rescue; I really appreciate it. I am a newbie at SEO and I still haven't got the full picture of everything in my mind that covers linkbuiling, on page optimization, domain names, website creating, etc. I've really pretty much all the available guides on WarriorForum and BHW without much help on the topics above since most of the information was either provided by some person who didn't know what they were talking about, the information was outdated, or I didn't know what they meant. I have so many questions that I hope some SEO-Expert could answer my newbie questions so that I won't get penalized for my two sites that I currently own. One of them was slapped by Yahoo!, Bing, AOL, and most other search engines with the exception of Google (It's only a matter of time of course). The other site I own is in the making currently without much on-page optimization. Before I start doing some on-page depletion t to my two sites so they both get de-indexed and such because of keyword stuffing, fail link building, and other factors, I wanted to cover the problems I currently have about SEO and this site. 1) Using the SEO-MOZ 'keyword analysis tool', what is the ideal percentage difficulty a newbie like me could take easily with just a few links here and there including 5 posts/pages of great content? (I usually only write 5 posts that cover 500+ words each). 2) Do I need hosting to become successful or to get more on-page optimization for my websites? I currently use Go-Daddy forwarding with masking so that when my site shows up in google the content comes from blogger. 3) What is "Self Cannibalization"? I ALWAYS get that error for both my sites when I use the 'on page optimzation tool' from SEO-MOZ. 4) Using Blogger, What exactly are labels and does using this add any SEO value to my website? 5) I've read so many damn articles about ALT text and Title text for blogger; nothing explained what I put in it though. What am I supposed to put in it that will help me with my on page optimization? (Stuff like do I use spaces or dashes, do I put my keyword in there, how many characters should I not exceed, do I put one word or two words?) 6) On my website, I 'accidentally' didn't know that copy and pasting images from paint straight to blogger would be a bad idea because in the html I saw it was f'ed up because there was literally random characters everywhere for the file name. Since my site is a tutorial site, I have over 50+ images in all my posts combined that I've copied and pasted from paint.exe to the Blogger post. Should I reupload all of them to blogger or keep it the way it is? Will I be penalized for this or nothing would happen? Is there a benefit to fixing it? 7) For a new website that is less than 1 week old, when can I start building backlinks? If I can start building backlinks now, what is the ideal number per day that I should create? 😎 Does post every single page or post of content I have on my website to other Web 2.0s like Squidoo, Wordpress, or Blog penalize my website for duplicate content or what? If I do this, does it give me any SEO benefit? 9) How much stronger is a .gov backlink than a .edu backlink? How much stronger are both of those compared to a regular extension backlink? 10) If I am building backlinks, should I link just my main home page URL or all internal URLs to? 11) I see several people that build backlinks to other websites by typing in a comment and throwing their link in there. Like question 10, should I post ALL the links to my website (Internal + Home) or just my main page link? 12) What is better; .com, .net, or .org? What about .info, .us, and .biz in terms of SEO benefit? 13) I have several pages on my site in which Google indexed them and I deleted the post. Now when I search my site on Google and I click on the link to the post, it is pretty much a 'dead link' because the post cannot be found. Does this harm my site in any way, and how can I take these dead pages off? 14) One of my sites is already indexed by Google but not Yahoo! What should I do to get my site indexed? help with the inbound links side of seomoz
Hi Can somebody help with the inbound links tool of seomoz, can you point me in the direction of how it works and the best practices to get the most from it. I know i have a lot more inbound links to the site in my campaign but its shows for example 114 links but when i click on show more it only shows 3 . am i doing something wrong? Any help and advice from how people use it , what for and what is best practice thanks.

Getting PA & DA off of a list of links
I have a list of links that I want to get PA and DA for each individual link, can this be done in some way other than one at a time? I've heard this can be done with excel and using api but I don't know the specifics of this.. Help would be appreciated
