Anyone see the new webmasters update ?
-
Hello,
Only noticed the following today -
and an official announcement - http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com.au/2014/01/search-queries-not-rounded.html
I wonder if they are trying to compensate a little for GA being a bit rubbish esspecialy since we recieved "not provided"
Thoughts ?
-
Well it is a step forward, I wonder why they are still rounding in GA, that's a pain.
I still missing being able to see order conversion rate for keywords ... oh well, I think that is gone for good.
-
This is good news. I compared the stats in our accounts.
The Google Webmaster Tools data imported into Google Analytics is still rounded off.
However, the Google Webmaster Tools data in webmaster tools is much closer to the Google Analytics stats for google / organic traffic [Acquisition > All Traffic > Source / Medium = google / organic] than it has ever been.
The clicks recorded in Webmaster Tools are slightly higher than the visits recorded in Google Analytics. That makes sense, I guess.
-
To a degree it was there before but you can drill it down further and get some better results. Looks like there is a lot more data to access via it, looking forward to what some people can do with it.
-
It is a Good news.. We should appreciate it at last We Will find out how people are reaching to our websites.

Hi, a couple of years ( 2012 )upon contacting google I was notified that I had a manual penalty against my site for unnatural links, Today I just checked the WMT->Search Traffic-->Manual Actions and it says "No Manual WebSpam Actions Found", is this right and I no longer have a penality or is this misinformation? thanks,

Google keywords in Webmaster Tools
While analyzing the Google Webmaster, we found several keywords that are ranked in the top 10 search results with words such as: they, was, mai, and chiang. .. After reviewing the pages shown under the keyword "they", we did not find that keyword or its variant "them" repeated in the content of the page even once. I am not sure why "they" is ranking so high and of course, the word "they' is not effective for finding significant content. Also the words Chiang Mai are never used separately but yet the two words are ranking far apart from each other? Mai is ranked at 5 and chiang is ranked at 11? Impossible it would seem? I would think that the rankings would be very close together since the two words are usually used in conjunction with one another. Can anyone please help explain what may be happening please?

Thoughts of google not updating PR toolbar
What are your thoughts of google not updating the PR toolbar? So many people rely on it to evaluate websites. As time goes on with no update, good sites that could have good PR will be looked at as bad sites to link on or outreach to. With google continuing not to make an official announcement, people will continue to rely on this method of checking how much a website is worth to them. Just to make this clear, I know a lot of people don't use PR to evaluate a site but I also know a lot of writers who don't follow SEO as much will use PR to check if your site is good or not. I just feel it would be nicer to have it officially announced that they are removing it or keeping it. Also read here about it: http://www.seroundtable.com/google-pagerank-no-update-17276.html Apparently google had no comment at the moment.

What did you learn/get from Link Building Seminar New Orleans?
(No, I am not posting this thread to help me create linkbait. grin) Great seminar! Just got back from the drinks and networking at Muriel's (was that a cool location or what!?) and thought I'd start a discussion thread on here, since I don't see one yet. What was the biggest thing you learned/got from this seminar? For me, it was all the tips and tactics to create and promote linkbait.
