Multiple meta descriptions found - MozBar
-
We are getting "Multiple meta descriptions found!" error when testing meta in the Chrome MozBar extension. We are using the Wordpress All in One SEO plugin. Thinking there may be a conflict with default meta description being blank and needing removed to not conflict with meta generated by All in One SEO.
Curious if anyone has come across this and any info on eradicating the issue would be greatly appreciated. Most likely a newbie question on my part.
Thanks!

I think I misunderstood - I thought you were reporting an issue with the MozBar, but it sounds like you are asking for advice on an issue that surfaced through the MozBar. I will let you guys figure it out from here!

I checked the homepage and the housing page and both have the blank description tag. It definitely looks like a plugin/theme issue. Looks like your All in One SEO plugin descriptions are showing alright. Check in your theme files, specially header.php and see if there's an empty description tag in there. You never know, it happens sometimes

Thanks a bunch Mike, I'll give that a go and continue to troubleshoot plugin conflicts.
Hello Jon,
Thanks for your help. Below is the info any suggestions are appreciated!
Site: http://www.liveinspringfieldmo.com/
-Seeing it site wide and other sites we recently launched so assuming I may need to hit up All in One SEO support and continue to troubleshoot conflicts as Mike mentioned.
MozBar version: 2.63
Browser: Chrome

Hello! A few questions:
- are you using version 2.63 of the MozBar?
- are you seeing this on any particular sites or pages?
- Which browser are you using?
I would be happy to test this end to see if I can replicate the issue!
Thanks,
Jon

I've had this issue twice in the past. Once was because of a conflict between All In One SEO and another plugin which was fixed by updating the plugins. The second time was after a theme change where it turned out the theme had an internal suite of SEO tools that were adding the secondary description which was fixed by shutting off those features. Without knowing all the details of your wordpress site, its a bit hard to determine the exact cause. Check that your theme doesn't have a function interfering with All In One and try turning off plugins to see if any of them are in conflict. Could be as simple as needing an update.

Duplicate Content - Multiple URL's
I know a few of these problems come from products being in the same categories but I have no idea how to get rid of the url's that are showing duplicate content when the product is in the exact same place. Can relative links PLUS multiple hompage versions spell disaster?
I still see internal links to default.asp from every other .asp page even though I have updated most of the relative /default.asp links to www.site.com since I 301 redirected it. I am seeing this in Open Site Explorer for one. (I'm sure my lack of understanding has to do with not quite getting the purpose of default.asp.) Anyways, I am wondering if all the relative links throughout the site pointing to other .asp pages need to be updated to absolute links (so www.site.com/page.asp instead of /page.asp) for me to avoid this problem. Does one even have anything to do with the other?

Updating Meta Keywords
Hi I am going through the process of cleaning up the SEO on my blog www.shoottokyo.com. Someone recommended that I can use ScreamingFrog to find the location of 4xx errors and I noticed that there are Meta Keywords on about 200 of my posts but some of them are wrong such as it mentions my old city I lived in or my old camera I used to use. I want to clean these up. If I look on the post itself in Wordpress I don't even this this information. Where can I edit it? Is there a way to easily edit across multiple posts? I previously used All in One SEO perhaps these came from that and I need to reinstall that to clean this up? I'm new to all of this expect a lot of questions. Thanks Dave

Multiple Sites/Internal Pages Campaign
Can MOZ do reports/ranks/campaigns separately for each of our sites, then do separate keyword campaigns for specific internal content pages of each of the websites? For a law firm with both a defense and family law sites. We have multiple pages within each site, we will need to do separate and individual campaigns for assault, burglary, traffic tickets, ect. in our defense site. And we'll need other specific campaigns for other specific content in out family law site. Will Moz be able to accommodate our needs with their $99/mo plan or is that service only available for higher packages? (or is it even possible in ANY of their packages???) Thanks.

HTML5 multiple h1 tags
When I run the On-Page Report Card it tells me that I should remove the multiple instances of H1 tags, even though the website is built using HTML5 and has hierarchical structure where each section / article has its own H1 tag. This approach is completely legal with HTML5 and I'm just wondering what impact does it have on SEO and whether the On-Page Report Card recognises the HTML5 and processes it accordingly.

How does SeoMoz works with noindex meta tags?
In my last SeoMoz Crawl I've found a lot of warnings about duplicated content in page with a noindex meta tag. Is that normal? These pages should not be considered as indexable content of my website, isn't it?
