Where does the organic keyword information come from in Google Analytics?
-
I know that Google switch to all encrypted search, but I still show some keywords. Are those keywords that slipped through? Or are they all from Yahoo/Bing?
-
Google does still show organic keywords from other search engines. Google Analytic's also shows some keyword data that they get from webmaster tools in their Search Engine Optimization section.

More 'New users' than 'Users' in Google Analytics
Hey Mozzers, I'm seeing more 'New users' than 'Users' in Google Analytics (see screenshot). This is over a 3 year time period. Any idea why new users would be greater than users? Thanks! 6lYmU0j

Google Analytics goals by source report?
Hello everybody. Is there way in Google analytics to create report on what goals have been completed per each source? Example: Lets say I have 3 goals: Subscription, Purchase, Quote. How can I get report, saying something like this: google / organic - Subscription - 5 conversions
Reporting & Analytics | | DmitriiK
Purchase - 3 conversions
Quote - 10 conversions and so on. P.S. Basically, I want the reverse of standard Google Analytics goal completions report, where you can click on goal and see which sources/mediums completions came from. I'd like to do the opposite - "click" on source/medium and see which goals have been completed. Thanks0 -
Is Google doing anything about the spam referrer plague in Google Analytics?
My client manages 15+ websites and we have observed the spam referrer issue has gotten steadily worse and worse in the last few months. I took the time to weed out the worst offenders via traffic filters but our referral traffic source garden was quickly full of weeds again a few weeks later. Does anybody know what the Google Analytics development team is doing to combat the spam referrer issue? I find it quite amazing that Google goes through the asinine effort to block out organic keyword data ("not found" & "not provided) but they don't seem to care about blacklisting/filtering spam referrers. How come de results from the old Google Keyword Tool are so different from the results from the keyword planner?
When I insert the keyword 'IT jobs' with Belgium as country and Dutch as the language, there is a huge difference between the results in the keyword planner and the keyword tool. Keyword tool says 1,000,000 local searches per month Keyword planner says 590 local searches per month This is a really big difference and I don't know which results I should trust. Can anybody help me with this?
