I have a local website. Please let me know, what weekly tasks should be done to get on page One.

Once you've got the website properly locally optimized, on-going activities will typically include content development, citation building and earning reviews. Getting site ready for outreach for guest posting

Hello, We've decided to focus on guest posting for my client's site. What do we need to do to my client's website to be ready for guest posting. I assume those providing guest posting opportunities will look at our site and evaluate how good it is and how good our writing is. Here's what we're doing, and I'm wondering what's important 1. We went from a junky design to a pretty good one. 2. The logo is still average - we're thinking of upgrading it 3. all of the buttons for the store are still bad looking - we're going to make them pretty 4. All the category text was keyword stuffed and not good, we're rewriting all category text which is a huge effort 5. There was 20 short OK articles. We're making 5 long good ones to take their places. What are they going to look at to make their decision?

Hi, I'm using Site Explorer to research my website but the stats don't have up! Page Specific - External Followed Links: 11
Sub Domain - External Followed Links: 40
Root Domain - External Followed Links: 40 Total links: 1,733
Total links on webmaster tools: 781 How does this add up? Why am I getting varied results.. And what is the difference between Page, Sub and Root when I only tested www.mysite.com? Any help would be great! Shaun

Any value in link building to local pages on my site?

If I'm trying to rank for the term 'wedding band' with my url: http://www.musicliveuk.com/home/wedding-bands will linking to local pages such as: http://www.musicliveuk.com/live-acts/hire-wedding-bands/wedding-bands-london help the main page to rank? I added the 'local' pages to try and pick up any traffic from long tail search queries but my main focus is on getting the main page to rank as the traffic from long tail queries is so small. So is it worth me spending time building links to these local pages in order to try and help the main page rank?

How do I get the most links out of one QUALITY article/post??

Basically we are a small business (2 employees) we don't have the time or resources to be writing hundreds of original quality articles each week (nor do we have the time to write endless guest blogs each week) how do we gain links from one article? Value of Linkworthy Resource Pages

Suppose you create a great resource that links to the top 50 blogs in your industry. The blogs in your industry love it and many of them link to that page. How valuable are those inbound links? I would think some factors hurting the value of these links are that they are not pointing to an important page on your site like the home page or main category page, and the 50 links on the page dilutes the linkjuice that is passed back to the homepage. Or is the main value in making the domain's link equity stronger?
